Jensen saying he’s really proud of what they’ve been doing with the Winchesters and what’s in the work.  (x)

In his old house pre-Danneel he had a special dark room with two TVs and two couches to play Halo with his friends. (Danneel snitches again.) He plays “blue shy guy” on Mario Cart. (x)

They’re talking about recreating the music video for their anniversary. Their friend did it first as a birthday gag. So he suggested they do it “for instagram”. Danneel was like “let’s go”. and they got into a serious fight over who would be Paul Simon  (x)

Danneel says they do zero work for instagram content. Q was about the music vid years ago. The Ackles’s argued who plays Chevy and who plays Paul Simon. Jensen complains about having to be the short guy again. He’s gonna get a complex. He yells for Mark to come down. (x)

Kim Manners and Bob Singer, they both set the tone on the show. Micromanaged. Kim said “you’re gonna direct one day” to Jensen and it got him thinking. It was becausehe was interested in the lenses, lighting & such. (x)

Bob and Phil Sgriccia helped him a lot. Phil said “always have an answer, even if it’s wrong.” Because when you say “you pick” or “whatever” to a Q from someone working for you, you dimish the other person’s job. And you can always change your mind & that tells them you thought (x)  about it, thus making their job even more important. (x)

To Danneel; how did you know he (Jensen) was THE ONE? Jensen; *cracks up* Danneel: It was on Ten Inch Hero, I always knew he was cute and all of that, but… It was one of those, we were driving back and forth, and just talking about our future, and our career (x)  Danneel: I’m a girl who likes to do things first. (…) At the end of the movie, there’s a scene where I walked up to Priestly and gave him a kiss… That was NOT scripted.(x)  Danneel: but obviously Jensen had read the script, he knew it wasn’t scripted. I just knew I had to do something else or it would be too late. (x)

danneel knew by the end of filming ten inch hero once they’d spent time doing long drives talking about their futures and everything and then in the scene where she kisses priestly wasn’t scripted and jensen was like “oh!!!!!! i caught a BIG fish let’s go!”  (x)  “i like your talent your cute your-” “you were like this one can give me good kids” “yeah i saw you with your nephews and-“ “and you were like this is a good pedigree!” (x)

When did Danneel know that Jensen was the one? They were friends before but thought they would never be together. They carpooled to the Ten Inch Hero set. 40 mins each way, just talking about the future, how they were raised, carreer… (x)  She always knew Jensen was cute, but those talks really did it. In the last scene of the movie, the little kiss between their characters wasn’t scripted, that was Danneel making the first move. (x)  Jensen immediately knew it was a big fish snd went “bzzzz” (reeling in noise). Jensen prods when she knew he was the one to marry though. They went on a family trip. Then Jensen knew he’d spend the rest of his life trying to impress her. Danneel’s mom knew they were it too. (x)

MC: We had a point uh, we had a point when we were taking photos earlier where I was holding an ice cream cone that he [Jensen] was licking… and I thought to myself, “Gosh! This isn’t what I imagined it was gonna be like!”

JA: And then just to-just to dab a little salt in the wound…

MC: We had an amazing photo session by the way! 

JA: Just to dabb a little salt in the wound—you know who you are, wherever you are—this… lovely young woman walks up and says, “I’m gonna be in the middle and you two are my bitches!” 

MC: That’s not the punchline.

JA: That’s not the punchline! The punchline is that me and Misha looked at each other and we went, [JA and MC shrug at each other] No argument! Zero hesitation!

MC: No resistance.

JA: No resistance at all, just… “…Yeah.”

MC: We did it.

JA: And then she walked away and he [Misha] looked at me and softly said to me, “That’s where we are now.”

MC: “What’s it like to be on a long-running successful show?” Well let me tell you!

JA: It’s when the fans really respect you, love you, adore you, admire you, and walk up to you and say, “You two are the bitches in this one!” 

MC: In the same photo session, we had a piece of uh, candy, string candy, that went from… the idea-it was a Lady and the Tramp kind of photo, right? And so we had-we had…

JA: You know who you are!

MC: We had our-we had our respective ends uh, near our months and the woman standing between us said, “Eat it!” And then she repeated, “Eat it!” …And so we did. 

JA: We often get questions… “What the weirdest thing a fan’s asked you to do?” These are those moments. Now… I will say that... most of that photo session, I would say that 99% of that photo session was very enjoyable. You people are fuckin’ awesome. However, playing Lady and the Tramp, and acting like bitches… that’s not on the resumes we read years ago.

MC: No. We have to add that now to our resumes.

Crowd member: Kiss and make up!

JA: Kiss and make up?

MC: Somebody came into our [Misha and Jensen’s] photo ops earlier and said “Hey would you guys do me a favor and for this photo op I’d like you to kiss and make up… If you want! If you want!” Like the thing that’s been holding us back is just somebody giving us permission! You know? Anyway, we did.

JA: You know there was a time when we would say ‘No’ to requests in the photo line… and I remember it was maybe a few years ago when we gave up. And it was a sad day, when he and I just looked at each other and were like, [mimes throwing hands up and shrugging]

MC: I’m gonna say something and it’s a little bit-if you’re a child cover your ears right now but also in today’s photo op line, somebody came through and they had something, and the Creation staff said, “No! We can’t do that.” And either Jensen or I said, “What? What do you think it was? How bad did it have to be? Was the request like, “This time I’d like you to do the photo with no condoms!” Too far?

JA: Jared and I usually have a PG panel they don’t necessarily have to sign a waiver for. 

MC: The crowd kind of started to sound like the UFC crowd last night. Um, alright. We should take a question before I say anything else.

JA: I don’t know, this is pretty fun. This is a nice therapy session for us. I think we’ve... it’s been overdue for a long time.

MC: When I got on Supernatural and I first started started doing interviews for TV Guide and stuff, I actually hired a consultant for interviews—how to cultivate an interview personality, and I started doing these—and I thought “I’ll start doing what Marilyn Monroe did” not maybe necessarily making myself like the starlets of the day but you know… but the idea of like cultivating ya know—the quintessential American masculine ideal somehow. Which I think there are actors out there like I thought [unintelligible] but you know really presenting an authentic self but the version… [unintelligible] that is most appealing to the public. It probably took me six weeks of this before I realized “You know what, fuck this. I’m just gonna be myself, and if that doesn’t work, well this just wasn’t meant to be” and it was so liberating and the more as time has gone by, the more I’ve leaned into that, the better I’ve felt about the experience… but then that’s also a double-edged sword because the more you’re yourself and the more you’re accessible and sort of pose yourself in a vulnerable and personal way to an anonymous public, you know your quote-unquote fans, the more unbalanced and unhinged people start to think that they really know you, and then you can have these fraught relationships with fans who don’t understand boundaries. So there’s this weird double-edged sword. Like, I’ve started to dial back on exposing… you know, taking photos of my kids or sharing them with the public audience because there have been too many people who have started to like, get weird or scary or whatever in the fandom so it’s still a little bit of a balancing act but you have to maintain your private identity to an extent… but if you’re too protective or—for me anyway—if I was too protective of that, it made it impossible to connect with an audience. 

AH: I can see that I think we’ve talked about this a lot too, like there’s something that’s sacred about your privacy and it’s not because it’s a secret it’s because it’s sacred, and I think that it’s something you have to balance. I did this a few months ago, it was like, in the middle of the night, I had this anxiety that I share too much, and I deleted all my instagram pictures. I just thought it was too vulnerable. And sometimes you just do like, “Gosh this is such a violation of my own little special bubble.”

MY: […] So you mentioned crazy, weird experiences with fans. What’s the weirdest, craziest thing that’s happened with a fan?

MC: Um… there have just been… there have been a handful of fans that have um, that are clearly unhinged, that have started to ya know, think that when I tweet something, I’m actually communicating with them personally, and you know… um… yeah. 

AH: [unintelligible] There’s this interesting rivalry thing with the fandom particularly with Supernatural. A lot of times they fight each other to protect Jared, Jensen, and Misha. It’s a very bizarre… actually, I got into something last year when you guys did that charity thing at Rockwood and Misha had left earlier than Jared had gotten there. Misha sent out a tweet saying thank you to all of us who were there who participated… but he didn’t include Jared and Gen because they hadn’t been there yet. And it was like this big long thing, and it was this huge fight on Twitter that Misha secretly hates Jared and never supports him and doesn’t do anything to… [laughs] it was just like, it couldn’t be further from the truth! But they’re convinced that this is what’s happening! It’s bizarre. 

MY: Do you remember that?

MC: It’s… yeah. I forgot about that. 

MY: So you started telling us what your experience was, but we missed all of it. 

MC: Okay. When I joined the show, you know, it was a show about these two brothers and there were a lot of fans who were just really invested in that relationship and my character’s introduction somehow you know, it siphoned off some of that exclusive attention between these two brothers, and it pissed off a cadre of the fandom to no end. Like, I was public enemy number one for this subset of super fans, and they did things like, organize an attack on my Facebook somehow where they like reported me for I don’t know what but you know they made something up but Facebook bought it and deleted my Facebook account which, when you’re an actor and you’re trying to build up a following, to have your Facebook account deleted… and the message from Facebook when I tried to log on was like, “The account is deactivated and you can’t reactivate it” or something like that. Ultimately I did end up getting it reactivated but it was like, “Oh my God!” And then… and other things you know, like, I’ve been accused of siphoning money off from my non-profit, Random Acts and other things, which are like categorically not true, but it’s literally like a part of this character assassination effort that some super fans… it’s interesting that some people get… I can’t even imagine getting wrapped up in that kind of drama of like, “Misha and Jared hate each other!” How—how that even… yeah. Anyway, it’s truly astonishing. 

AH: But also considering also the amount of philanthropic work you do, like, for me personally, you’ve inspired me tremendously and I know how much work you’ve done so to be able to inspire so many people and yet have that as like, an adversary to that I think is really fascinating. 

MY: [unintelligible] It’s not gonna come easy if you’re doing the right thing. It’s gonna be fraught with people trying to pull you down. 

MC: Yeah and I think it’s also kind of interesting to observe like even if you’re not a politician per se—where obviously you’re gonna have people who hate you any time anyone’s in the public eye at all you’re exposing yourself to the publics ability of having these kinds of dynamics, and it’s certainly not the most salient aspect I mean, of my career, having these—that kind of hatred or… uh… sabotage… but it’s a factor. I mean, most people in the Supernatural fandom are like so adoring and so lovely and so supportive and supportive of one another across… you know, whether they’re a Jared fan or a Misha fan or… it’s mostly mutually supportive but there’s this… I think we’re all a victim of negativity bias. Like, when you see the bad stuff come at you, you can’t help but have it stand out and it gets undue weight sometimes um, but yeah no, I mean there are some fans who have done some pretty awful stuff to all of us. Like, you know, filing false police reports and things like that. 

MY: Really? 

MC: Yeah! Yeah… And you know, we’ve—me and Jared and Jensen have had to hire like, you know, like security consultants to help deal with people who are making weird threats against our families and stuff like that so… um, just part of the…

MY: That’s not…. [unintelligible] I’ve been in this game a long time and I’ve had some weird experiences but… not that. I mean… I’ve… heard that before. I mean, police reports typically… Women, right? I know female actors that have had like, stalkery people sneak into their homes but that’s uh…

I want to thank you all for making this fandom fun, crazy, intense and full of amazing and talented people.

Since all the chaos i put you all through i feel like a behind the scenes is the least i can do or you can call it my classic villain long ass annoying explanation.

And yeah, I, because i’m one (1) stupid ass bitch.

What started this?

Well, i was obviously angry for everything.

Then Misha posted a video where he threw the “rogue translator” under the bus and said “But I’m confident you guys can sort that part out as your writing, art, and imaginations play the story out past the last frames we filmed.“

And so i did.

That one line fueled so much anger in me, because after everything, we really do need to fix it ourselves? Then watch me do it. In this moment i got basically possessed by revenge, anger and inspiration. Many of you figured out how i did it but let me walk you through it! I downloaded the first confession video i could find on youtube, decided the part i wanted to dub and started digging. I looked up all supernatural scripts, then i had to go to Vampire diaries and whatever the frick that legions spinoff was, then all the Twilight movies, then One Tree Hill, Marley & I and so on. It was pure suffering. Each time i found a matching word i had to check the episode to find out if the intonation was right, if there was music, or if the dubber even had the same tone of voice so i went to a lot of youtube clips and streamings that i absolutely didnt want to watch. After 24 hours i had heard so many “ti amo” and “castiel” i started to hear them when editing the background. In the end, of all the stuff i found most of it was trash and not worth to be on this leak, so i had to dig again. And i found it, the “i love you”, it comes from The Office, the PDA episode. I still feel bad about putting that one there but it was the only one that somehow worked wit the lipsync (Yeah, i also looked at that, what the fuck is wrong with me?). While as for the “anch’io” that dean says it comes from the 2x20 and the so much loved and apreciated “Castiel" and “i’m sorry” is from the 8x17. So yeah i worked so much for nothing, but i was still proud of what i had.   (you can now imagine a montage of me trying to edit out the background music for hours from random voice clips just to throw them all away in the end) As for the background music i zoomed in as much as possible and basically hand stitched the music to make it sound seamless, and GOD Yes i even went through the whole original soundtrack to see if there was anything i could use to just slap and replace but obvs not, so back to hand stitching and hearing voices for like 2-3 hours. it was now 8 am and i heard that clip so many times it didnt make sense anymore, so i slept for like, three hours before waking up with the worst idea i ever had. I was running on like, a total of 5 hours of sleep in two days because i also had a fever and ANYWAY. I thought “what if i make this real, like, real real” Thats when the LEAK idea was born, that same morning of the 27. I did some googling, i looked up a in studio picture and saw the counter, that i couldnt recreate with any program i had (btw, i only used imovie for this disaster) i tried them all and at that point i just wanted it to end so i was  FUCK THIS. FUCK. And went to youtube, and, well. I found what i was sure was gonna get me busted. This. When i put this in the video i knew someone was gonna get me, and i was 70% sure it would have been this. Then, i slapped everything together and decided what to do with the logo. So i did the most logical thing and googled “remove watermark from video“ and this is the 30% of the other thing that would have gotten me busted, because it was crap and obvious but i was running on zero sleep and my brain was on fire and i was not thinking anymore at that point. The video was done, and now i just had to put it on my tv (AND I WANT TO MAKE THIS CLEAR, I READ ALL OF YOUR POSTS AND COMMENTS AND CALLING MY POOR TV OLD AND ANCIENT HURT ME WAY MORE THAN ALL THE OTHER THINGS YOU GUYS CALLED ME, but i guess its fair) i turned on my ps4 and went on this cursed blog where i already posted the hd version of the video, i made a recording of the tv and then deleted the hd one and posted the phone recorded one. Spammed it at random people that were online at the time (according to tumblr) and waited. I want also to say that after watching this clip an infinite number of times that the ORIGINAL editing si absolute trash, there are music skips and cgi bugs, then the camera cuts are absolutely random and they 100& cut a shit ton of video, and took away some random lines says when thrown on the gorund. And in this moment i was thinking about the CW, about how they buried our gays again. But that grave is big enough for everyone working on that network spreading hate, homophobia, racism ableism and so on. Your time will come too.  Anyway, when i started to come to my sense and wonder if what i did was right or wrong. I still don’t know if i would do it again. I feel like i was giving hope, i really did, because if this lie could hold a bit longer, then it would be real for a moment more. I’m sorry for making anyone feel bad about this, i really am, if its of any consolation i went through hell and i will never blame anyone for hating me. I just couldn’t make this fandom end on such a bittersweet note, not like that. I hope that whoever tried to debunk this had some fun, and maybe made some good memories with friends over this.

Jensen Ackles ADR for episode 15.18

It’s been confirmed that Jensen Ackles did do ADR for episode 15.18. 

Here’s an excerpt from an EW article posted October 14th, 2020:

"The writers were aware that it's the end of an era, it's the end of 15 years, and so it's not like all of a sudden the series finale is, like, 'Oh, we better wrap this up.' It's a slower build, and it treats the history of the show properly," Padalecki says, specifically of episodes 18 to 20. (Ackles, having recently done ADR on episode 18, says he had forgotten how "monumental" the hour is.)

Fans believe they are able to place the timing of this ADR as sometime around September 25th, 2020, using an instagram photo posted by Chez Boom Audio, featuring Jensen on their property, presumably to do ADR he mentioned in the EW interview a few weeks later (according to their description, Chez Boom Audio is a “Audio post-production studio for ADR, TV, film, advertising, and audio books in downtown Austin, TX.”

Portuguese (Brazil) Dubbing of the end of Supernatural episode 15.18 “Despair”

There have been reports that the Portuguese (Brazilian) dub of Supernatural covered the final scene of the episode (where Dean cries on the floor) with the sound of birds. It was speculated by some that these birds were meant to drown out lines Jensen Ackles or Dean’s Brazilian voice actor may have spoken (in the second case, first ad-libbed by Jensen, adapted by the Brazilian dubbing team, then covered with bird sounds in post-production after ad-libbed lines were removed from the U.S. cut). There have been very short clips of part of the scene uploaded to Tumblr. We found the full episode ourselves and clipped the full scene. You can find the full episode here at the time of this posting. Should that link cease to work at some point, googling “sobrenatural dublado 15x18” should provide you with other options from streaming sites.

The punchline is: there are bird sounds. However, in our opinion (please watch the clip and determine for yourself), these bird noises are not nearly loud enough to cover up any lines from Jensen or Dean’s dubbing voice actor.

To put it bluntly, the dubbing seems to have some issues in terms of sound quality. There is a loud roar heard throughout the entire episode like a microphone with the gain turned up very high. We speculate that perhaps due to covid, the dubbing team worked from home and this is why the audio quality suffers and why birds can be heard over the final scene in the episode—they are probably in or near the home of Dean’s voice actor. In this dub, Dean does have an added line. He says “Sam” as he looks down at his ringing cellphone. He then begins crying.

Day 22 since episode 15x20 aired: no, but as most of you guys know we got a solid leak of the script for the confession scene in 15x18 and it’s honestly so much to process emotionally just how much changed and how much Jackles had stolen from his performance so don’t even get me started on the Discourse!

Supernatural Episode 15.18 Title Change: “Despair” versus “The Truth”

There is convincing evidence that, at some point in production, the title of episode 15.18 was “The Truth” instead of “Despair”

Either the episode:

1) Was originally titled “The Truth” then changed to “Despair” at some point 

2) Started as “Despair”, changed to “The Truth”, then changed back to “Despair”.

March 20th, 2020, the titles of the last 3 episodes of Supernatural appear on SpoilerTV.com. The title of 15.18 is listed as “The Truth”.

However, a leaked production draft of the script (dated February 27th 2020) lists the title as “Despair”.

Note: According to writer Meghan Fitzmartin, 15.18 was being drafted the first day the writers were back in the writer’s room for season 15. i.e., there was ample opportunity to for a title change. (x) (x)

The Latin American dubbing of Supernatural episode 15.18 was also titled “La Verdad” (The Truth).
