Sick Day

I felt the first tingling of a sore throat on Tuesday and felt a lot better by Friday. Day 2 of my cold, I was really going through it. I thought I could power through, but I was feeling very lethargic by late morning, and barely had the energy to eat.

Thank you to cold medicine for being there for me, you a real one. I also want to thank all of the wonderfully caring people that checked in on me and asked me if I was doing okay. 🥹 It wasn't an ideal situation, but I'm at least happy I got to spend the time getting to know new people and reconnecting with old friends.

Finally, thank you to my bsf for bringing me soup and taking care of me when I needed it. I was really bummed out that I caught a cold, but your continuous support and presence made the experience a lot less miserable.

Happy #marioday ! I used to love playing Super Mario Bros 3 on the Wii with my family. :) I'm always going to fondly remember the chaos and memories of us scrambling over each other and getting in each other's way. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

Happy Miku Day!!! Based on Intergalactic Bound Miku's outfit 😊 I still love the song Intergalactic Bound 🥺 I don't listen to much music but I'm starting to get more of an appreciation for miku.

I had so much fun drawing the cupcakes that I wanted to draw some more desserts :P from upper left to right, top to bottom, we have sesame balls, prosperity cupcakes, New Year Rice Cake, and egg tarts. We still have so many of these desserts left over. The characters are written in Cantonese because that's how my family usually pronounces them.

potato dog as hoshino ai! this one took me a bit longer to render, and I'm happy with how it turned out! to be honest, I've had the idea for awhile and was afraid that the idea was too complex compared to my other drawings of potato dog. I'm happy that I decided to pursue it anyway :3

potato dog balloons! I think today's cel-shaded style came out a little better today :) I'm starting to understand how I can use cel-shading to make my work process more efficient and still capture the feeling I'm going for.

I wanted to try a different style today :) I went with a cel-shaded look with line variation. It was a lot easier to make, and I think I'm already excited to try again and keep improving this technique.

I've also been having trouble sleeping. I'm hoping that making this will manifest good sleep. :')

hmm something's off. I wanted to try a more simple-looking way of rendering but it feels off to me. Might just go back to the painterly way.

I'm also going to fix my sleep schedule soo you'll see the finished version later!
