rewatching some early ninjago and man, within the first 6 episodes of season 1, lloyd's been put in a cage, betrayed by someone, and tried to sneak into somewhere with a truly terrible disguise only to get caught and put in a cage again...the writers really decided what they wanted to do with his character very early on and by god they stuck to it.

Okay so you know how there is that one kid who doesn't look like anyone in their family until you see what the grandparents looked like when they were young

I hc that with Lloyd

I know he and Garmadon look a lot a like but there are some key difference that everyone likes to call out (hair color)

So I bet Garmadon looked a lot like FSM did, he hated it so he made sure to stay clean shaven and distance himself from looking like his father

Since Lloyd is trying to look like Wu he is going to end up looking identical to the FSM and it will cause funny mishaps

Especially in his oni form ( and dragon form if he ever gets it)

Lloyd is not the Green Ninja. He has never been the Green Ninja, and should never become the Green Ninja. Nothing against Green Ninjas, but the team has been without a Green Ninja for 10+ years. We grew up with Lloyd and why would we let them change him for no reason? The writers should just create a new character to be the Green Ninja, not ruin one of the best Lego characters in history. There's a whole 17 seasons worth of Ninjago content!!! You should definetly watch it, it's amazing, truly the peak of Lego humor

I think we as a society moved on way too fast from Lloyd canonically being a part of The lego movie events

i’d like to think the administratior lives for the drama and personally made sure that jay went on that mission to capture zane. bc jay works for the realm reasignment department, so why would he be on a mission to arrest zane

Big fan of how the writers seem to be forgetting that Lloyd is part dragon

"Dragons can be ninja??"

And also "If anyone should be trained by a dragon it should be ME I'm basically half dragon" you know who's actually half dragon wyldfyre?? YOU KNOW WHO??

Like if the dragons in s9 can smell the oni on wu then surely these dragons can smell the dragon on Lloyd

Genuinely so wild thinking about how willing people are to dunk on characters like Misako and Harumi, but then bend over backwards to protect the pure and noble images of Garmadon and Morro... Literally just say you hate women and move on?
