You know, it’s always strange when I get asks like this, because it reminds me that, for many of my followers, I’m not a real person, but rather exist solely as a tool for their entertainment. After all, it would be wildly inappropriate to yell this at someone in real life, but anon seems to have no compunction about yelling it at me digitally. And the only reason I can think of that someone would act like that is because, in their heart, they truly don’t understand that I am an actual person.

So hello! Hi! I am a real human being! I am entitled to boundaries and basic respect and all that good shit! So are other social media personalities! So are other people generally! If this is news to you, then congratulations on finally learning theory of mind!

One day at Quidditch practice Albus realises his fringe has gotten so long it keeps getting in his eyes, which really isn’t helpful when you’re flying in the air about twenty feet above the ground while dodging Bludgers, and he doesn’t have time to have it trimmed before the next match - so his only option is to tie it up.

Did Scorbus kissed to confess or they dated for a while before their first kiss?

They kiss to confess. Once they are on the same page and realise, they aren’t going to want to wait. The real question is, who makes the first move…

Albus appears impulsive when it comes to matters of the heart but actually, he really isn’t. He tends to overthink which makes him emotional. He will then feel the need to act, often without thinking through all the consequences, and usually while convincing himself it’s the right decision. It’s a strange game of war in that boy’s head. But this is different, this is Scorpius. So while I do think part of him would want to just walk up and kiss him, I also think his own self doubt and worth (or lack of) would overpower him in this situation. I think he’d be too afraid of pushing away the one person he’s desperate to keep hold of. Even at the expense of his own happiness. That fear of rejection, of losing Scorpius, would definitely make him hesitate. He can defy his dad knowing Harry could never abandon him. But Scorpius? Scorpius isn’t tied to him like that. There’s always that chance of losing him again and that tiny spark of fear would turn into a destructive fire inside of Albus if he leaves it burning too long.

Luckily he has Scorpius who is not only a thinker and a planner, but also Albus’s best friend. He knows how that stubborn (and often oblivious) boy works. So I can imagine Scorpius having a ‘oh fuck it’ kind of moment. Maybe Albus is staring again, or he’s wearing Scorpius’s jumper, or he’s curled up in Scorpius’s bed with the flimsy excuse of his own being too cold. Whatever it is, he’ll just snap and speak Albus’s language. He’ll act. He too has that voice in his head that tells him all the ways this can go wrong. That is could be the thing that finally makes Albus walk away. But he’s also braver than people give him credit for. He knows him. He trusts their relationship. So he throws every thought and feeling into that kiss because actions speak louder than words with Albus, and so Scorpius knows this is the best way of telling, convincing, and reassuring him that he feels the same way. That’s not to say Scorpius planned for it to happen like this because he absolutely did not. But when Albus kisses him back he knows this was the right decision.

The conversations (and dates) will come later, as I’m sure will the shock of his impulsiveness. It sets Scorpius off rambling in a way Albus has never heard before. He doesn’t even take a breath until he notices Albus smiling at him. He starts to ask why but he’s cut off by another kiss. The reason for that smile? Albus realises he can do this now. Kiss him when he’s being cute. Kiss him to shut him up. Kiss him because he can, because he loves him…

Neither of them were ever going to wait before doing this. They’ve waited long enough.
