CONGRATULATIONS YOU FOUND ONE OF MY “One Big Headcanon” guys! These are characters where I do have smaller headcanons, but some of those smaller headcanons may be connected to the one larger headcanon. [REDACTED] has a lot of smaller headcanons connected specifically to this one headcanon.

You know how a lot of [REDACTED] interps give him a Shadow Form? You might have seen a version of my interp that looks like a standard Shadow Form but it’s not actually the same as everyone else’s Shadow [REDACTED]s.

My [REDACTED] is actually a Dark Matter. Technically. Yes like the Kirby kind. My dumb universe is a crossover if you didn’t already know so yeah anyway I got a lot of stuff about [REDAC] that hinges on this aspect of him.

First off, why did I say technically, and how exactly did he get this way?

In Kirby lore, there are 4 kinds of “Matter”; Dark, Heart, Soul, and Dream. In my lore, I have each split into the classification of “living” and “inert”. Living is anything that is a creature that possesses the powers of one specific matter (like the standard Kirby Dark Matters you’re familiar with if you know Kirby). Inert Matter is a sort of energy that can take multiple forms, but in the case of Dark Matter it tends to take the form of an area of darkness.

At one point, a field of Inert Dark Matter was drawn to the Murder Hotel and ended up becoming what TMP players know as “The Darkness” that follows you in the final round. A young [REDAC] was playing in the halls of said Murder Hotel and came across the field. Curious, he ended up walking into the field and became affected by it. An Inert Dark Matter field absorbs your life force if you’re dead, but since [REDAC] was (and still is) alive, it attached to him in a way that made him technically a Living Dark Matter creature. [REDAC] is still also technically human, he’s just an odd hybrid of the two. He didn’t know about this until recently though; he’s just thought he was a weird ghost thing.

A lot of my other headcanons relate to his nature as a Dark Matter.

Being Dark Matter makes [REDACTED] immune to/not affected by a lot of stuff, most notably, bullets, major cuts, poison, most elements, mind control, and disguising spells.

Keep in mind that the disguise immunity only applied to spells that disguise an appearance and not costumes that disguise appearance. As a master of magic, Laverne Caverne knows a disguise spell that [REDAC] can see right through (that’s how they got together because I ship them), but Schmitty was able to escape the Murder Hotel by successfully using the Wig to get past [REDAC] and sneak out.

Also yes the mind control immunity also applies in the case of you know who.

And finally for now, Zero keeps trying to contact [REDACTED] through his dreams but he's always like "you can't tell me what to do" and just yeets out of the weird mind sh^t...he’s really good at getting out of weird mind sh^t.

Sorry this took a while, tbh, I don't really think about Baby Diva as much as I probably should.

They are both 5 Small Headcanon guys so here

Bob:

My Bob is a Cat Boy, but not the kind that ends every sentence with “owo” he just happens to have cat ears and a tail.

He and Diva both play Pokemon. Bob specifically is very good at Competitive Pokemon surprisingly, though not enough to have won a World Championship in the Jackboxverse.

Bob is powered by sheer cartoon logic. Nothing he does makes sense. You're not supposed to be able to visit T-Shirt Island without an express invitation and yet Bob's there on a vacation like once a season and doesn't stop no matter how many times Tournmo kicks him out.

Because of said Cartoon Logic, Bob is nearly immortal. He is capable of dying of old age, but he can not be actively killed. No amount of falling off cliffs, being blown to smithereens, or getting hit by a falling piano will give him anything other than a Bob-shaped hole in the ground, a face full of ash, or birds swirling around him.

He and Guy are distant cousins. Despite not seeing each other often, the two treat each other like brothers. Guy is the person who got Bob the audition for YDKJ, in fact.

Baby Diva:

My Diva is a Robot, specifically one designed to basically be a sentient music player. She has a slot in her chest that opens to allow a CD to be inserted and her hands have speakers on them.

Back to Pokemon, Diva doesn't do Competitive, but she is a shiny hunter. She recently finished a Violet Shiny Badge Quest Playthrough.

Diva is a Tumblr User.

Diva is on the Jackbox Celebration Team, which means she's one of the people in charge of any celebrations involving members of the entire team; birthdays, retirements, bachelor parties, etc. She's mostly in charge of playlists.

She's in charge of the official “Jackbots ™ Discord” where all the robotic/ai Jackbox characters that aren't affiliated with Binjpipe send memes to each other. No one who isn't in the group chat understands half of the jokes they make related to the server.

"ydkj (fandom) experience" is when you're drawing a design for a character, who has barely any canonical appearances in the ONLY game that this character shows up in (which is just as many as people, who actually know about this character lol)

Lydia is generally optimistic, but does her best to keep an air of professionalism. She tends to take her position seriously, but will be friendly to those who do not directly oppose her goals.

Backstory and Lore (optional):

Lydia was an ordinary Ripple Star Fairy once upon a time, when she heard a message in a dream telling her that someone needed help, and so she followed her instincts to Ripple Star's Fountain of Dreams. There, she met the Spirit of the Fountain of Dreams, who explained that the issue was that as the Spirit of the Fountain of Dreams, she could not leave the Fountain to deliver messages. The message Lydia had heard in her head was a test by the Spirit, that proved to the latter that communicating through dreams was not as effective as she'd hoped, since Lydia was the only person to take it as anything other than a dream. As such, Lydia was offered the chance to serve as the Spirit's personal messenger; who could deliver warnings and other information to the Star Warriors if need be.

HERE'S THE DEAL:

I'm gonna steal the idea that @itsquakey (sorry for the ping) did for Castellia last year and reveal more lore for Lydia the farther she gets into the tournament, whether it be through the winner's or loser's bracket.

Guy HCs, please

Guy is another 5 Small Headcanons guy:

Guy's last name is appropriate because he is basically a literal f^cking Tower compared to the other 4 YDKJ hosts. Guy is taller than Schmitty, the second tallest, by about a foot.

Guy graduated from High School the year The Ride took place. He went to college as soon as they finished filming The Ride and got a degree in Sports Broadcasting stuff.

Guy is a Star Warrior because f^ck you/hj

Because of the aforementioned Sports Broadcasting degree, Guy has been a common guest on Truth Talk 23/7 since Nate escaped. Despite Nate's agenda of delivering the "truth", most episodes with Guy are mainly just them catching up.

Guy is still friends with Buzz, and together, they dominate any game night they go to.

Todd:

Todd and Gene are both AIs that live in cyberspace. They are both relatively benevolent tho, and Todd thinks Binjpipe should embarrassingly trip and eat dirt every day.

Todd is pansexual. That's all I have on that matter.

Todd can leave cyberspace whenever, and takes on a humaniod form when he does. He just tends to prefer being in the computer.

Todd is kinda jealous that Gene keeps being in games while he's stuck in Pack 4.

Todd knows how to manipulate code to make games and developed STI himself.

Cream Masterson (Champ'd Up Host)

Cookie keeps bringing up a specific brother in YDKJ 2011/2015. Cream is that very brother.

Cookie also mentions a "nephew's baptism" in Fibbage 4. Despite my joke image last Easter Season, the nephew is actually Cream's son that's getting baptized. (Not Chip; Chip is in college and probably got baptized early in his life)

Cream is good friends with Linda Pants who does exist in my stories she just wasn't in Champ'd Up, as well as Dandelion, Gilbert (the Lie Swatter Host), Miles (as a person with a major Jackbox OC with the same name, I refuse to call Bidiots host Sterling because that sh^t would be confusing), and formerly Glargan (it's complicated).

Dandelion and Glargan once attempted to prank Cream and Linda by hanging a mistletoe above the doorway to the the home they were hosting a Christmas party in. Unfortunately, Cream and Linda ran into space traffic, so Glibert and Miles showed up first and they passionately made out because they knew Dande and Glargan were doing a prank and wanted to make them regret it. Dande and Glargan never tried anything like that again.

Schmitty headcanons please!!!

He's also a 5 Small Headcanons character (tbf I only have 5 "one big headcanon" interps.)

Previously on Poyobox's Headcanons, I mentioned that Buzz is the second-best signer. That's because Schmitty is the best of the 5 in that regard. I'm specifically thinking of the end credit song for "Patently Stupid" (another game with Phil) and imagining that's what his singing sounds like, even though it's sung by a different person.

I think I heard somewhere that Schmitty was Jewish, so I say that he has both Jewish and Hispanic heritage, though his parents were probably both American in terms of citizenship by the time he was born.

Each Christmas, the YDKJ crew hosts a Secret Santa Gift Exchange. Schmitty gets increasingly uglier sweaters every single time.

Schmitty is the oldest of the hosts, though not by too much; he's only about a year older than Nate, who's a year older than Cookie.

This Ask's Crossover Headcanon is: Post-Forgotten Land, Schmitty tried to adopt ALL 300 WADDLE DEES. He lost the custody battle with Dedede and only got Sailor Dee as compensation.

I'll start with this one.

Buzz is a 5 Small Headcanons character for me so I'm going to share the following:

My Buzz interp is literally a bee. Well, he's an anthro one at least. This affects a few things, as you would expect. For example, Buzz is not that cold-tolerant compared to the other hosts. The only one of the 5 that is potentially less tolerant is Nate, who is also a bug furry but he's a moth instead.

Buzz is the best dancer of the five, as much as Nate wants to believe otherwise. He's also the second best singer (more on that in a bit), so he's generally pretty musically inclined.

Buzz is the smallest of the YDKJ hosts, though he's actually quite tall when considering other members of his particular species; most are around 3' while Buzz is almost 4'

After The Ride, Buzz started a string of mostly harmless pranks on the others for revenge before quitting to avoid the consequences of his actions.

While I don't see anyone in my Jackbox x Kirby stories to have a particularly negative opinion of Scented Candles, Buzz is one of two in said stories that's obsessed with them. Whenever he runs out of candles and goes to the store to get more, he can never choose one scent and always brings back like 10 candles of different scents.

5b. The other scented candle enjoyer in the stories is Void (as in Termina but they're kirb shaped). The difference is Void likes to eat them
