I wrote this round of 7 new wellness retreats in Asia by communicating with PR representatives of the retreats to ensure that all the information and photographs on this article was the most updated. I also responded in a timely manner to any last minute changes the PR representatives requested for this article.

Some of the materials I’ve had to translate for our client include food-related posts for a health-conscious restaurant, and wellness-related social media posts.

I wrote this post in both English and Chinese for our client, a city wellness centre’s Instagram and Facebook accounts. The post is in both English and Chinese to appeal to a wider target audience. I also set up and took these pictures for social media.

This is a fascinating article about how a significant chunk of Starbucks’ revenue comes from its membership program, which functions as a pseudo-bank with 0% interest. 

It was a challenge for me to translate, particularly because of all the finance-related terms.

This is a translation of The Atlantic article,  “Lessons From Moscow: How China Might Handle Hong Kong”. It draws on the history and politics of the Soviet Union and theorizes on how the anti-extradition demonstrations in Hong Kong might turn out.

This is a very fascinating story. The premise is basically just a rooster sued for existing.

The G20 menu always raises interest every year, so I figured I should do one!

I researched the menu that night as well as the meaning and chefs involved in planning this feast to provide a well-rounded story. 

I picked a picture with the world leaders, and photoshopped in popular dishes in Osaka to represent my piece.

I chose to do the translation to Chinese for this one because housing is an extremely concerning issue in Hong Kong.

I used the term “American-style Subdivided Flats” in my title, so the Hong Kong audience would instantly connect to a similar problem albeit in a different country.

I wrote a comprehensive guide to “Deepfake” for an English-speaking audience. Part of my research process include a compilation of facts from sites such as Tech Crunch, and a video from “Motherboard”. 

I closely followed the SEO writing guidelines to ensure I used the correct keywords.

I translated a legislator’s open letter to his Chancellor from English to Chinese as soon as it is published.

In this article, I transcribed a YouTube video before translating it to Chinese. Our target audience is male, business-minded with an interest in luxury brands, so I picked a Rolex buying guide to spark engagement.

Here, I collaborated with my coworkers to produce original news content on our company’s Facebook Page.

I translated the news from local Chinese media in real time with speed and accuracy to an international audience who are curious about Hong Kong’s current affairs as they unfold.

I kept the Hong Kong public informed on the latest developments of the 22,800 man-strong, city-wide anti-extradition protest.
