I make a looooooot of animation ideas, but most of them stay in the very rough stages because I lose motivation or come up with more ideas. So I'm curious what other people would like to potentially motivate me to finish things

Hey guyssss!

Guess who's back from his very long, unannounced hiatus..? -☆

I had to step away from Tumblr due to a very rapid decline of my mental health. I was struggling to make posts and content due to a series of unfortunate events in my life and with my family, and decided that a break was in order. I just needed to step away from social media and focus on myself and my studies for a while until things got better.

And they're better now!!

I've found that I have missed Tumblr quite a lot. I realized that creating content actually gave me the motivation to create and finish things, and that I'd lost that drive during my time away. Enough so that I've decided to come on back now that I'm doing better, catch up on what I missed, and share what I have been able to make while away.

So hello to all my mutuals! I've missed you! I hope you've all been doing well! I've gotta see what everyone's been up to.

I will be making slight changes to my account (I.E. new pfp and username) but I plan to keep my content the same. So expect some more ClawCode soon :3

(This is just my take on things/probably interjecting my Ganke from my fic)

I can also see him working side jobs with his skills in hacking/coding for money.

Depending on your take of the universe/characters in them, there's a lot to consider. While I can see Ganke doing this just to be a good human and, well literally /nobody/ else (minus Prowler in some cases and maybe a few others) is doing anything-- and somebody HAS to. He doesn't want to live like this. He's sick of growing up here in this shithole of a world!

But he also can't just do it for free.

I'm assuming money is a really big issue in this world, with the Six being absolute powerhouses and feeding on the poor, everybody is trying to go up in rank just to survive. While it would be nice to be a hero just for the sake of being good, for a civilian like Ganke Lee? Without any of the fancy powers some people have or the fighting skill and ability?... he has to be realistic.

So yes, he does fuck with the cartel simply to ruin things for them, zipping between VPNS, backtracking, making it near impossible for them to track him down... He also has left a trail. He takes a lot of big jobs that pay big bucks, moreso than smaller, less skilled hackers. People don't know his face (because he's not /stupid/), but they know him, and know what he likes (jobwise)

He's left a trail, his digital footprint isn't 100% clean despite his efforts to make it that way.

And I can imagine that that could get him into a WORLD of trouble.

Take the wrong job from the wrong guy.... when you've already probably got a (literal or figurative) bounty on your head..... you're fucked. Maybe even for life.

That could also lead to more drama between Miles and Ganke.. Ganke stressed because he's got someone hot on his tail, accidentally lashing out at Miles perhaps, adding to the suspicion that somethings not quite right with that guy...

All in all I'm in love with the idea that Ganke is a notorious hacker and likes to meddle in shit, both to make a difference and to keep his head above water.

I don't think I've mentioned this before but I like the idea that in E42 Ganke is some sort of hacktivist... hacker vigilante... you know one of those people. But Miles G doesn't know. And inversely Ganke doesn't know that Miles G is the Prowler.

I mean, in E42 crime is so widespread and the Cartels have so much control that it makes sense to me that there's probably something of a culture around ignoring/avoiding shady behavior. Like if you don't want to get tangled in something, maybe get in trouble with the Cartels somehow, you're gonna ignore the hell out of it when somebody is getting money from suspect places... or when someone has a "side job" they don't want to give details on... or WHATEVER, right? Like you get what I'm saying? It's not worth ruining your life over 99% of the time, so just. don't. ask. Pretend you're oblivious to it.

So I imagine that's kind of what's going on with Miles G and Ganke-42. Obviously Ganke knows his roommate sneaks out at night and is lying about something... but he's not touching that with a ten foot pole. Not when he's actively trying to slow the Cartels and impede their progress by hacking their systems and messing them up--he can't afford to get on their radar in the physical world too.

And obviously Miles G knows that Ganke's doing weird stuff on his computer. All it takes is peeking over the top bunk one time. Ganke doesn't know Miles G would recognize private servers and sites that belong to the Cartels, but of course Miles G recognizes them. But he's not going to tug at that thread at all, because he doesn't need Ganke to start noticing him back. Like, he's the Prowler, he can't afford to get figured out by some low-level Cartel employee.

And they both know that the other person knows that something is up with them, but they're relying on the culture of "not noticing" to keep the other from digging too deep.

Besides, other than the shady stuff, they find each other to be pretty good roommates. They don't get in each others' way.

You see what I mean. Like you see the circular layers that could go on for ages. The comedy of errors.

The drawing itself! I honestly kinda winged it and was making it as I go the only part I really thought out was overlaying Jeff’s mural with jeff reaction of the building falling from miles premonition and the neon webs that come from the canon events slowly circling both of them. Some other stuff was making the expectation graffiti look more like spot and the 42 spider but I don’t think it was as deep as the other one.

Anyways if you come across this post let me know what you’d like me to draw. It’s been awhile since I’ve been active on social media so I don’t remember how to work this properly
