i’ve ordered ‘a little life’ by hanya yanagihara and to say i’m scared to read is an understatement

being forced to watch the perks of being a wallflower in a high school lit & film class knowing everyone else will never understand reading that book as a 13 year old girl with no friends and relating to charlie to an unhealthy degree should be illegal and punishable by death actually

are you ever just watching the perks of being a wallflower and then charlie goes, "and in that moment i swear, we are infinite" and then you just shut off the movie and scream into the void inside you because there might be a teeny tiny possibility that it's dotted with stars

book review

i don’t think i’ll ever get my mind past this book (and film) it’s remained my favourite ever since i was younger and i think the more i understand it the more i love it and embed it into everything. the characters and their dynamics are so perfect and so necessary, it somehow portrays mental illness so perfectly in such a painful but still beautiful way? i cannot recc this book enough it’s genuinely perfect
