FULL NAME: Jonathan James Forbes

PRONUNCIATION: John-a-than / Jay-ms  / Four-buhs.

NICKNAME/ALIAS: Jonathan only went by James seeing as his father was Jonathan. Sometimes, he would let people call him Jim or Jimmy. The only person to call him Jonathan was Elizabeth when she was alive. 

TITLE: James goes by mister (Mr.) but one day hopes to be knighted.

GENDER: James was born and identifies as male.

BIRTHDAY: James’ birthday is March 25th, making him an Aries.

BIRTHPLACE: James was born and raised in Charlotte.

IMMEDIATE FAMILY: James has his parents, Irene and Alexander Sampson. James married Elizabeth Souza when he was 23 and had Alex Forbes at 24 and Elise Forbes at 29. When Elizabeth died, he remarried Kristine Fiori, a mom of one of Elise’s friends, shortly after. He had a set of triplets with her - Penelope, Parker, and Peyton at 47 before they got married. He says it was after Elizabeth died - however, the timing makes no sense. 

PARENTING: James was the more laidback out of the parents. Where Elizabeth was very competitive, James took on the more “best friend” role and would let them relax. He was always there to listen to the kids if needed. However, he is a workaholic and was very rarely home. He is still the same way with Elise’s younger siblings.

Task 15: Emotion Generator.

“Damn, falling in love already?” “So freaking hard, Nate. It’s a little scary.” “Good, that’s how it’s supposed to feel.”

Using the emotion generator, randomize a mood and write a drabble about your character experiencing that mood.

The beginning of the trip was filled with the doctor yelling at the blonde that she shouldn’t be mixing pain meds and alcohol. He was an encyclopedia of all the celebrity examples on why you shouldn’t drink and take meds.But the blonde didn’t listen.

Hell. It was Vegas. Why should she listen?

Elise knew she wasn’t the first nor would she be the last person on crutches in the desert wonderland. Was she the only one who was in the hospital over a week ago in critical condition with her travel partner as her doctor? She was almost sure of it.

Nate wasn’t the kind of person who would enjoy Vegas under normal circumstances. He didn’t drink. He wasn’t a gambler. However, Elise knew he needed a relaxing vacation after the week from hell with the black out, a week from double hell taking care of her stubborn ass, and then he was going to go to DC to visit Vanessa and try and find his sister.

If there was any time he’d enjoy Vegas, it would be during some of his most chaotic weeks.

If it was up to him, they would have stayed in their suites. However, just like when they were together, Elise always had to push him out of his comfort zone.

They spent the day drinking, eating, and going to museums. It was the first time El had seen him laugh in a long time.

And then the feelings started to come back.

Maybe it was what they had been through. Maybe it was the touristy trips they had been doing. But it was there, and it was undeniable. Usually she could push it down - act as if whoever brought it up was crazy. But anytime his green eyes lit up when he looked at her, or teased her, she felt the overwhelming urge to do something nuts.

They were on their way to dinner when they passed by it. The big, stupid deathtrap that he had spent most of his time trying to get her on. They were drunk by this point, and she was pretty sure the words ‘chicken’ came out of his mouth and her pride just couldn’t let him win.

With about 30 other people, the pair hobbled their way into the pod. The good thing about this ferris wheel was you weren’t swaying to your untimely death, you could at least drink on a solid floor if the ride was going to break.

They had gotten their drinks from the bartender, and even though it absolutely scared her, they stood by the edge of the pod and watched as they slowly made their way into the air. There was music playing and conversation but she focused on the man on the side of her. With a drink in one hand, he wrapped the other around the blonde, poking fun at how she was shaking. She rolled her eyes and retorted something snarky back, drinking her drink slowly.

She had to admit, the view was gorgeous.

Until the ride stopped sharply.

The bartender was apologizing to people for the sudden halt which usually didn’t happen. However, in a panic, drunk state, and only having one good leg, Elise fell to the floor, spilling her drink all over herself.

The playful look on Nate’s face turned to worry as he helped her up, holding her kind of close asking if she was okay, trying to wipe some of the alcohol up with the little cocktail napkin that came with his drink.

Elise took a deep breath in, trying to center herself. She took in her favorite color - the green in his eyes. The worry lines that seemed to always be there when she was around. The way that even when he was drunk, he still felt the overwhelming urge to take care of her.

She was drunk but it was clear the passion between the two of them never died out. They were just too stubborn to admit that it was there.

Nate shook her a bit, trying to snap her out of her thoughts, repeating her name. Coming back to reality, the blonde let out a loud laugh. God this would only happen to her.

As the ride came to a halt, and Elise was thankful to not be 500 ft in the air, she was still covered in her drink. Nate helped her with her crutches to the closest bench where he, in true Nate fashion, tried looking for an uber or taxi to take back to the hotel so she could change. When the taxi came and picked them up, the ad on the top was for the little white chapel.

Nate helped her in the car, putting her crutches in the trunk, and when the guy asked where to, before Nate could give him the hotel, Elise turned to him and grabbed his hand.

“Nate, let’s get married.”

Elise is a side and tummy sleeper. Ever since she was a baby, she loves to bury her face in the pillows.

Does your character have any noteworthy features? Freckles? Dimples? A scar somewhere unusual? etc.

She has a few scars due to her time in the forest, but other than that, nothing noteworthy!

Does your character have an accent? What does it sound like?

El was born and raised in the south and has a little bit of a drawl when she speaks.

Do they have any verbal tics? Do they have trouble pronouncing certain words or getting their thoughts across clearly?

When she’s not in the clearest state of mind, Elise quite frequently will stumble across her words, forget simple words, and even have a bit of a stutter.

What are their chief tension areas?

Elise holds all her tension in her shoulders, causing a stiff neck very frequently. She also over tightens her jaw, causing headaches.

If you were to pick one song — and only one song — to describe your character, what would it be and why?

Reckless and the brave - All Time Low

How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral?

Elise is pretty neutral. Even though she thinks higher of herself than someone with no self esteem, she also can be quite negative. Especially towards the mental illness. Appearance wise, she’s pretty neutral.

Are they a quick thinker or do they need time to sort through their thoughts?

Quick thinker. Or not a thinker and makes rash decisions.

Does your character dream or are their nights filled with an empty blackness? Describe a dream they’ve had or a night they couldn’t sleep and what they did to preoccupy their time.

Elise has nightmares of the plane crash and the recent home invasion that’s ended her up in the hospital.

If they had a choice, would they prefer a subway or a bus for public transportation?

If she had to choose, she’d pick the subway. She hates the city bus for no reason.

What do they think of creation? Do they believe in evolution or do they believe in God? What is their religion like?

Elise believes in evolution. She isn’t particularly religious but does believe there might be a higher power.

Describe 5 unusual characteristics your muse has.

1.) She loves true crime and knows a lot of small details on a lot of cases. This helped her start her podcast.

2.) She has OCD which mainly consider only cleaning. However, Elise cleans when she’s trying to stop obsessive thoughts. This could be from a guy to the weather not panning out.

3.) Coffee has no effect on her.

4.) She names pets after food. She currently has a cat named ricearoni.

5.) She is the kind of person who can be the life of the party but then she needs to Netflix and chill for a few days.

Have they ever been so overwhelmed they had to stop and take a break from something?

Most days.

Are they a team player or do they prefer to be solo?

She can do either and be at ease.

Elise is convinced she’s the best multitasker.

Best subject was English and Art, worst by far was math.

El is an introverted extrovert. Socializing is like Taco Bell, good at the time but something you’ll regret later.

Elise is a natural born leader, but sometimes she likes to sit back and not be in control.

If your character was suddenly challenged, would they rather run away or stay and fight?

Elise has proven she’d stay and fight in multiple situations.

The person who is bringing up the past.

She wishes she was less trusting, but if she connects with you, she’s very trusting.

Elise is very sarcastic and witty and needs someone who can keep up with her. However, she is a romantic and likes affection, so cute gestures go a long way with her.

Does your character have any enemies? If so, who and why?

Most of the people she was stranded with because she sold their story to the media and profited.

Do they have any weird bedroom habits? Any unusual kinks?

Elise has a praise kink and is very submissive.

How does your character prepare for bed? Do they sleep at all or can they stay awake for days on end without trouble?

Depends on the night, however, most nights she can fall asleep pretty fast but she tends to never plan sleep.

If your character had one thing to say to their parents before they died, what would it be?

Mom: thanks for pushing me, it almost cost my life and the lives of others.

Her biggest regret rn is that she ruined her favorite relationship..

Our bee is very relaxed and no attitude yet.
