Mini Mahou March Week 4: High Fantasy Warrior

"In the name of, uh... Somethin'! I'll getcha good!" Was it fate that the goblin girl picked up the mysterious wand left by an adventurer? Sheer dumb luck? The will of the gods? Whatever the reason, she's ready to solve the realm's problems (and probably add to them while she's at it)!

My gut instinct was a mystical elf that shapeshifted into a unicorn... But then I decided I wanted to do something a little more off the wall! I think she came out great, and am happy to have another year of Mini Mahou March under my belt!

Fourth magical girl for Mahou Shoujo March! @prettywarriors

This is Elizabeth, the Unicorn Princess!

Despite her title, she isn't actually a princess but a humble farm girl, who one day found an injured unicorn near her home. After nursing it back to health, the unicorn gifted her a fraction of it's power, allowing her to transform into a magical warrior to defend her home from evil monsters

Her magic let's her heal others and herself and she has a gigantic sword to swing around as well

She is gentle and soft spoken, but shows no mercy to those who hurt the innocent

Here we go! My final piece for Mini Mahou March by @prettywarriors! This prompt is a high fantasy warrior.

Character notes:

Nothing screams high fantasy warrior like an orc! And very impractical, sexy "armor," typically worn by female characters.

His hero name is Heart eater, and he punches with love and kindness (his glove covered fists), and kicks with the power of friendship (his high heel boot covered feet)! His final move is "Warm Embrace," where he squeezes enemies in his muscular arms!

Final notes:

This was my very first Mini Mahou March, and, even though most of my pieces were unfinished, I had a blast! I could have pushed my designs to be more magical girl-y than general character designs, but I think I improved on that with each piece.

I loved seeing everyone's designs, and I hope to participate again next time!

For the fourth and final week of @prettywarriors mini mahou march:

High Fantasy Warrior Toodreme

This Toodreme was sent along with his sisters by his mother to stay with a family friend that recently moved from Rokkbao to Skaibao while his mom tries to fix his dad, rather than being taken up to Mibbao with his sisters at his older sister's insistence like in canon. Said friend gave him and his sisters basic combat training and magic charms on the off chance something should happen that warrants self defense while no adults are presents to help.

Wandreme's charm is his hairband, and to stay in line with the typical fashion of Skaibao, it has a veil attached

He is not comfortable fighting up close and will pretty much always fire off attacks from a distance if it's an option. The hairband does come with a weapon it can summon(a dagger), but he often just uses it for mundane tasks like opening packages when he doesn't have a regular knife with him. Since there is a shortage of actual serious threats that somebody else doesn't step in to deal with,he typically uses his transformation charm to feel cool or take advantage of the durability boost.

Week 3 of @prettywarriors' Mini Mahou March: Wetland Animal Magical Idol

Gator Inspired Idol: Misty!

Due to her family's strong ties to a local church, I imagine she sings gospel.Her transformation charm(the crown) when used for performances is mainly used to lend her a disguise nobody would normally guess is her and a more mature voice. Outside of that, Misty likes to use it to pretend to be an adult and get a little extra independence. Though the people of the church still know idol Misty is a water demigod, she has fooled them about where on the family tree she fits, so they don't truly know who she is when she's transformed.

I have a small collection of byzantine fashion pictures for research for something(that will not be relevant for years probably so don't worry about it) so I used that as the basis for her outfit

I went into this thinking I was going to go with a great cormorant theme before deciding near the end this looked nothing like a cormorant and modified her to be gator based and shortly after this I realized I could've just used Kazumi and either modified her into a wetland snake or a gator. The mind is something.

I could've gone harder with the gator theme in retrospect and I feel like this is one of my weaker entries because I didn't. Better luck next prompt.

This is Mizu Williams, aka Sweet Water. She's half Japanese, half American. Her father is from Louisiana and runs a large musical instrument company, so her family is loaded. She's class mates with Hibiki and two of them are constantly butting heads, both at school and on stage as there magical personas

Her magic lets control water with her music, similar to how Snake Eye's controls sand

She tries her best to act like a prim and proper lady, but she's really immature and a bit of a crybaby

Mini Mahou March Week 3: Wetland Animal Idol

A traveling musician with a spring in her step and a song in her heart, she wanders the globe to perform with her trusty banjo. When people started asking her to deliver mail to the next town over, she happily obliged! Just... Don't trust her with anything too important.

She's based on pelicans! I'm not the first to make a pelican mail carrier, but I like the added element of her being a traveling musician as well!

They're based on a roseate spoonbill and disco/glamrock, complete with a feather boa and big hair shaped like wings. They are here to groove their way into our hearts!

High Fantasy Warrior!

While Cutie Honey was the first Warrior, the sub-category was codified by Sailor Moon. These girls transform to fight, from stopping local punks to saving the world.

Often times found in color-coded teams, Warrior Magical Girls tend to have a specific brand of power, be it heart, singing, or sword. They almost always have a weapon, although that term is used loosely since it ranges from bow to bell. Outfits tend to be more complicated than those in other genres, but some of that may be more based on the eras of popularity and advancement in art techniques than ideal designs, although some girls don’t change their outfit at all.

I’m only looking for a visual character design, something as simple as a single fullish-body picture, but you are more than welcome to go as wild as you want with trinkets, backstory, information, alt outfits, all that good stuff. Also I say girl but girl boy nb other as long as it’s a magical humanoid gender be damned, thumbs up. (Also nothing 18+ please. Your characters can be, just not your art for this)

Smoke seemed like a nice overlap theme, so she ended up a bit candle-y @prettywarriors She casts smoke magic with her wick wand and uses it to *checks notes on majokko themes* do silly antics and learn lessons.

week 2 is ninja witch! and yes this is kokuto getting some spotlight because she'd love to be a magical girl. she pretty much is one already so why not add dress

also just gave her the same scarf her bff wears because it's cute

the pointy floaty things are ninja needles. i really insisted on using those as weapons as a child for some reason
