After binging 🥀
Here's what to do to make yourself feel better:
DO NOT PURGE!!! I cannot stress how important this is. If you want to read more, go to https://www.healthline.com/health/bulimia/effects-on-body
Clean everything from the binge up. Throw out ruined or mostly eaten food to avoid temptation. If possible, also dispose of the garbage by putting it into a dumpster. Also wipe everything down and don't leave evidence, especially if you live with someone else.
Change into more comfortable clothing, like sweatpants and a hoodie.
Drink warm water or herbal tea, as they help with digestion.
Go for a walk. I know you probably feel like shit right now and don't want anyone to see you, but just do it.
Listen to music.
Get some work done: chores, homework, studying, etc.
Try to relax and take it easy on yourself, by doing non-food related things for at least the next several hours.
Make sure to get enough sleep - 8+ hrs (depending on your age). This is super important to keep cravings away.
Plan out meals for the next few days.
Keep yourself busy. You can do this by socializing, working, studying, exercising, or engaging in other non-food related hobbies.
I hope this helped! I know how hard things feel now, but they will get better. Please stay safe, and know that you are loved.
