Alastor’s smile grew as he finally saw Charlie’s genuine smile come back once more. It was what he loved most when he saw her on the picture show and what drew him into her crazy plan of redemption. Her passion, her positiveness, her happiness, her smile; He wasn’t going to let someone or anyone take that away from her.  

“Charlie my sweet demon belle, it is great to see you smiling once more. If dancing with you is all it takes then whenever you feel sad, I want you to tell me and I will, no matter what, make you smile..” 

He said pulling her in close as he kissed her forehead. If he could, he probably would have kissed her on the lips but he is a gentleman and knows that Charlie is still  in a courtship with Vaggie. He may have feelings for her, but he will still be respectful and keep his distance to that extent; even if that meant forever…

Feeling herself whisked off her feet once more in a tight embrace, Charlie’s tinted cheeks only heated more as she shivered at the delicate kiss from the radio demon. Her hand still tingling from the sensation, the princess’s black painted lips curved into a soft, genuine smile.  “I suppose...a dance wouldn’t hurt..?” She whispered, her knee bouncing to the beat of the music that so suddenly began to play. She simply couldn’t resist the lovely tune that filled the air, and the dashing smile that remained on Alastor’s face. She knew this, and shamefully, so easily gave in. @radiodemonstatic

“And how do you expect to attract any customers like that??” Charlie crossed her arms tightly to her chest, her dark eyes narrowed in waiting for a response. “Scaring every sinner that walks by our hotel isn’t exactly helpful Al..” she grumbled lowly, her lips pursed into a small pout. 

"heya Alastor!! Just a quick question...when's your birthday, what's your favorite flavor, and what would an ideal present be for you? I'm totally not planning a birthday party...just curious..hehe.."

Alastor chuckled at her enthusiasm but recounted his answers with a grin. "October 14th, I prefer bitter or sour things so lemon, and I would likely appreciate anything you give me. So long as it isn't too modernized and I suppose I'd rather it be something I could use...Unfortunately there's still quite a ways from the date itself," he hummed, hoping not to diminish her mood with the distance of the event. The idea that she would want to plan a party for him was...charming. "You realize you don't have to do anything for that day hm? I'm quite used of just spending it with Husk or a celebratory drink or two..."

Naturally, Charlie would have welcomed her father with open arms, and in that moment she was about to do so, though her conscious spoke another wise. Clearing her throat, the princess warily made her way behind Lucifer, her arms crossed close to her chest. 

“Uh..um...Th-that’s very very...erm..sweet of you Dad! But..what’s the real reason you’re here?” She felt terrible going about in that angle, but she felt she had no choice. Charlie most certainly wanted her father to be a part of her dreams, and has pleaded for his support, but it all seemed too...easy? 

“Oh, no, I understand, especially after our little spat,” he replied, waving his hand airily. Lucifer continued to walk around, knowing that Charlie would likely follow him around as he kept talking. “And you know, I said some things that probably came off as…” He paused. Shit, he didn’t want to admit this, it wasn’t like him but Lili had kept encouraging him, so he was going to try. “I was being an asshole, baby doll.” 

Lucifer heaved a sigh, his ever-present smile finally falling. “Listen, Charlie, I just don’t want to see you get your hopes up, only for my Father to dash them, just like He did to mine.” 

“I love you, Charlie, you’re my little Appleseed! You’re proof of me and your mother’s love!” His arms waved grandly, the smile returning for a brief moment before it once more fell. “I hate seeing you sad, Charlie, really. I don’t want you to be disappointed when things go belly-up, that’s all.”

“Riiiiight, so big a scaaarrryyyy~” Charlie mocked once more, a laugh escaping her plastered smirk as she held her arms up, wigging her fingers. After another moment or so of teasing, she rested her limbs, her arms held behind her back. “Face it Al..you’ll never be as scary as my first day of school.”

Noticing the new message, she reads it over, a slight eye roll as she responds back.

Despite being in her drunken state, Charlie could clearly see whom she had sent the message to, and nearly choked when she processed what she texted. Scrambling, she immediately responded back, though due to her wooziness, her response wasn’t all that..

[Txt:] I’ll pay you anything, just don’t tell anyone or I will turn your antlers to christmas trees. :)

Charlie watched as her father began examining the pictures, a soft smile on her face. “Well..that’s..Vaggie. “ she shrugged with a small giggle, striding over next to her father, her hands held tightly behind her back. “Sooo…any..particular reason..you’re here at my hotel? I’m not saying it to be rude, I’m so happy you’re here but..I just never expected you to come..here.” she rambled.

“Aw, sweetie, you haven’t called me ‘Daddy’ since you were little!” His eyes got watery and he beamed. “I’ve missed you so much, sweetheart.” He looked around the hotel, curiosity getting the better of him as he started to look at the pictures. “Ah, Vaggie looks so happy in this one. She seems so tense usually. Particularly around men,” he noted.

Letting out a surprised squeak, Charlie felt a pair of arms wrap around her torso. “Daddy..” She muttered with an embarrassed flushed, though she couldn’t help but let a little giggle slip. “I’m...doing okay Dad, thanks.” she returned the hug, enjoying her father’s company very much. 

“Charlie! How’s my little Appleseed?” Lucifer was beaming from ear to ear as he rushed to her, wrapping her in a hug.

Those crimson ears stand pert and alert when the princess speaks up. The static emanating from the radio demon crackles loudly in the air surrounding them, but slowly fizzles out into a soft, white-noise.

“My dear–”

Uttering a short laugh, the old stag fans his hands out to both sides, spreading his arms wide, in that theatrical fashion that is so typical of him.

“I am a connoisseur of comedy, an aesthete of absurdity, a pundit of puns! Please, by all means! Humor me!”

A slight roll of her dark eyes, Charlie couldn’t help but let a small scoff escape her black, pursed lips at his sudden dramatic response. “Okay okay...what do you call a broken can opener?” She asked eagerly, her arms bent close to her chest, her hands in a firm ball resting under her chin.
