(4/4) Seventh Week

We have a couple of more days until the end of the training. Now, we are caught up with working with the proposal for the web hosting of the system. We were notified by the ICTO Coordinator, Mr. Apan. He helped us with the best way to appropriately make a proposal.😊 🤗

We are as of now arranging the cover sheet of the documents in the Admin Office. ✍️ 💻

Things are getting smooth and I’ll simply end this blog with a successful on-the-job training here in butc. I claimed it! 🙌👏 🙏☝️

Posting in PhilGEPS

(3/4) Seventh Week

Before the end of our training, Madam Marla decided to teach me about posting in PhilGEPS .I'm excited about learning this posting because she said that I can use this knowledge after I graduate. She taught me every detail of posting, from step 1 to step 3.I'll try to share everything that I learned.  😎❤️ First, I want to share what I know about Philgeps. It is a government website that is open to all government agencies and other public organizations. Here you can secure government contracts. They can only post on Philgeps if the request items are 50k plus. Otherwise, they can just contact the suppliers and talk to them in person. 😉 😇 The purpose of PhilGEPS is to post a request items so the suppliers can view it and bid in the process of tendering. 🙂🤗 It's a long process, and she let me post some of the bids and checked it before we finally post it.😮🤤 I really appreciate the effort of Madam Marla in guiding me throughout this training. I am really blessed and thankful for having her as my trainer. 🥰💯

(2/4) Seventh Week

I have an individual task on the BAC office that I am assigned. The filing of documents. I compute all the supplies of each company to know and to verify the final amount of the bids of each supplier. The second step is to rank them lowest to highest. Most of the time the supplier who has the lowest offer will be awarded. However, it still has to undergo a process called bidding. It’s a meeting of all the BAC members to talk about the offers of the company and to decide who is the most worthy of the award. (Too bad i forgot to take a photo while i'm in duty. I was too busy).

The next task that gave to me is to make a cover sheet for the front page of their logbooks and files. They gave me the format to make the overall design. I used photoshop to make the design. They told me that they will be grading the final output and will be part of my evaluation. It just implies that I really need to amaze them. 😎 👩‍🎨 (Glad i have a photo of this one.🤗)

(1/4) Seventh Week

This is the last week of our training here in butc. However, there is so many staff that is needed to be done. Madam Ja gave us all the tasks to sort all the documents of the Admin office. All the titles of the archives of the folders and boxes ought to be encoded and printed with the goal that will be sorted out and adequate.  ✍️ 💻

 Madam Dean likewise checks on us while we're occupied with working with the records. She confirmed that she will incorporate the web hosting to the butc budget funds. 😍 💖

 We are happy with the news. At least we knew that all our hard work will be paid off. 👌 👏 ☝️

(1/1) Sixth Week 

 This whole week will be the presentation of the system. We first present the system to Madam Malou. She had a few suggestions for the improvement of the system and we tailed it immediately. We return to her for checking and afterward she is satisfied with its output.🤞 👌

 Then we present it to the Dean. We clarified its features and functions and how it can help the workforce of butc on their day by day duties. She later agreed to deploy the system as soon as possible and to have a budget for web hosting. Our task next will be the proposal and letter for the deployment of the system. 👏🤝

 For the record, I am glad of the progress of our duties herein butc. I hope we could be able to complete all the tasks that are given to us before the end of our training. 🥰🤗🤩

(3/3) Fifth Week

We finalized our system for the presentation next week. We made the design of the system and some debugging to make sure that it will work out well during the presentation.  👩🏼‍💻 🙏

(2/3) Fifth Week

We attended the freshmen orientation at the BUTC Lagman Gym. We learned lots of things from the guest speakers. Their inspiring and motivational speech captured our minds. I realized that even if we extended 1yr in this course, it is still worth it because we learned so much from our mistakes.And mistakes can make us a better person.I hope the freshmen students also had lots of learnings on this orientation and they can be prepared on their college life.  🤗 🥰 🙏🏻

Madam Mortega gave as an assignment to make a video presentation of the butc campus and its personnel that is to be present during the orientation of the incoming first-year students. I was assigned to take pictures and video of the campus that will be used in the video presentation. And then the video editing begins...   📸 🎥  🎞

(1/1) Fourth Week

This has been a very busy week. We all focus on the system that we are making. We had difficulty in some parts of the codes and database. But happily, we can fix it with the led by our head programmer Mr. Angelo Brutas. We also continue the scanning and sorting of the documents. There are so many files that the printer had a hard time to scan it properly. That's why we had a long time scanning. 😩😓😵 We also took a nap during our break. We are really tired and exhausted and also, we want to gain more energy when our duty starts.  😳 😴

(2/2) Third Week

During the third week, We are given another task of having the soft copy of the thesis of Bs food technology. We edit the files and only get the abstract of their thesis and convert all of it to pdf. These files are to be stored in the File management system that we are making. We encountered a technical problem in this task and hope we can finish it within this week.  👏 💪 ☝️

(1/2) Third Week

We experienced several issues with the system that we are about to deploy.

We had a meeting with the IT individuals who made the system for the butc. Our main objective is to deploy the system that they made. They discuss the features and functions of the system. At first, we are fulfilled and content with the output of their system. Also, we are certain that we're gonna deploy it anytime soon. But we didn't expect what occurred right away. When we are going to embed the documents and records in the system, we noticed some errors in the system. We ask them whether they can fix it as soon as possible and they said that they can fix it however they can't guarantee that they can fix it immediately. We began to panic at that moment. Luckily, our brainy friend Mr. Angelo Brutas thought of an idea of having a backup system while we are waiting for the IT individuals to fix their system. Days pass by yet there is no update of their system. It appears that they are busy with their work and we understand their situation. That is the reason why we made a tough decision to deploy the system that we made rather than the system that isn't yet ready for deployment. It's not an easy choice. Yet we all think whats for the best and what will be more easy to make the deployment possible. And we hope we made the right decision.  👍 🤞 🙏

Document Sorting and Side Tasks

We are given the task to sort the records in the Dean's office and scan the documents to make a soft copy to store the documents in our system with the goal that they can access it easily.

It took 3-5 days to at last organize and output the documents. We additionally had a side task at the workplace that we are allocated. I am assigned to the Bac office. They discussed the functions and objectives of BAC.I also did excel to encode, compute, rank items for bidding. 

Generally speaking, I am genuinely content with the people that I am surrounded and in the meantime, I am appreciative of the things that I learned. I just felt that I have to express this for me to remain progressive throughout the day.  🤩 🤗 😊

(2/2) First Week

The Associate Dean of butc, Mam Tango gave us the first task. To start with, we are told of deploying the File Management System of the butc which is the task of the most recent years ojt. At that point, her subsequent assignment is to make a fb page for butc and deal with its record. Her other task is to post on the fb page each time there are activities in butc. This is the point at which our duty starts.  💪👌😊

(1/1) First Week It's our first day as On-the-job Trainees of butc. Also, we feel apprehensive and amped up for what will occur all throughout this training.  🤷‍♀️ 😬

This day is very unexpected. We didn't know that this day will be the turn over of BUTC Dean. Maam Oronan had a farewell speech of turning over her position as Dean and Madam Mortega had an inspiring talk on her journey of having the position. The turnover works out successfully. And afterward, the celebration starts. The butc personnel is exceptionally pleasing. They make us feel great and ensuring that we are immediately attentive. For the record, we are delighted in this day and seeking for the best the following day.  🥰 😇
