One of my favourite tattoos, but it's the least commented on by others. I remember loving the film from my youth, but also how much my friends and I bonded over it in college.

In the early 70s Sesame Street was created with an eye towards educating poor, inner-city children for free, and became a massive hit with all children. In 2016, faced with going off the air forever after facing conservative efforts to destroy public broadcasting since basically its beginning, new episodes became a timed exclusive for premium cable network HBO. In 2022 HBO Max, newly merged with and taken over by reality TV channel Discovery, removed Sesame Street episodes and spin-offs from streaming as a tax write-off and scheme to avoid paying residuals.

So, each year I go on a few long-weekend camping trips during spring and summer where several hundred to a couple thousand people play at being Pirates for days on end. The most recent one was too hot I had to put together outfits that allowed air to pass freely. I like what I ended up wearing.

Evenings were spent carousing with pirates, drunken and sober, singing shanties, playing games . I spend most of my daytime hours working at my girlfriend's crafts booth, or rather failing to because I am a delicate plant that withers with heat and humidity. I look forward to these events all year.

Luckily this particular site has a swimmable stream and some smartly enterprising pirates brought a gas powered generator and a snowcone shaver. These were the ways most people managed to survive.

Here are the newest Tattoos from three local lady tattooers. Stolas and Faye are just lined for now but will be having more colors and shading added eventually.

And the outcome of Cass Wolfe's hard work! Coloring on the Drunken Skull and Pirate Cat still needs a little more work but is getting close to done. Overall I think she did a great job with interpreting my request.

I sent some terrible sketches to my tattoo artist for my appointment at the end of the month. I am so excited! I couldn't decide on the color palette so I'm gonna leave it up to her.

Clown Posms crochet project in progress, based on the pattern by nichetcrochet.com (carrot fronds and watering can freehanded by me). I feel accomplished, but there is still so much work to go.
