Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office have been the most impactful opening to a presidency since Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933.
The number one thing that I’ve heard from people about the first 100 days of the Trump administration is “I can’t keep up.” There’s too much happening to keep track of, even if you can stomach reading the news every day.
I have a solution. For the last several months, I have been reading the news for 2-4 hours a day and tracking major political changes in a spreadsheet (which now has nearly 800 entries). I categorized the most important changes I noticed, and then wrote up summaries for each category.
Starting early next week, I will be releasing “Documenting the Damage: 100 Harmful Policies from Trump’s First 100 Days” in five thematic parts: democracy, civil rights and liberties, economy, environment, and foreign policy. The goal of this project is to document as many significant changes as possible, creating a semi-comprehensive record of what Trump 2.0 has done so far to the United States and to the world. In terms of its value for general audiences, this wide-ranging report might be the most important project that I’ve ever put together.
Stay tuned for more next week.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if the phrase "self care" doesn't resonate with you, try calling it "system maintenance" and see if that clicks.

Apparently Target is rethinking being anti DEI because foot traffic in their stores has been declining for like 10 weeks straight and their stock has been dropping in unison and listen, I know a lot of this is probably because consumer spending goes down in general when the economy is unstable (tarrifs, mass federal gov layoffs etc.) but I think we should just keep running boycotts of different brands to convince them that they only make money when they're woke. I know we dunked on rainbow capitalism because it was cornball and performative but I don't even give a shit. These companies shouldn't be able to be openly pro-Trump and expect us to ignore it. They should not be allowed to bend the knee to racist, xenophobic, homophobic, transphobic, abelist, generally bigoted culture war bullshit without taking a hit to their bottom line. These billionaire dipshits wanted unfettered capitalism with a madman at the helm and they should not be allowed to enable that without feeling some of the hurt along with the rest of us. Make these corporate assholes think money is stored in the woke

The biggest “your experiences are not universal” thing I feel is whenever anyone talks about the universality of girls planning their weddings since childhood because. Well. Not me. God bless
#I’m glad people have fun with this#but I’ve been an androgynous kid since forever#and I have never thought about marriage until I literally met my partner as an adult#so when people try n say that an experience is universal to girls#I know it’s usually not bc it doesn’t apply to me#like I know that people enjoy an idea of girlhood#but honestly it can be kinda isolating to be a girl and not be included in a supposed universal idea of girlhood#I’m a girl even tho I never had an American girl doll#idk I think about this sometimes

Me: I don't get it. I thought I was doing a lot better than I was a few years ago. I'm like 10 times more on top of things than I used to be. How does everything feel terrible now?
The Tiny Me in OSHA-approved Hi-Vis Gear Who lives in my brain and pulls all the levers: Boss, it's the fascism. You're completely gunked up with cortisol due to the fact that your entire daily life is now underscored with a haunting awareness of the rapid erosion of your rights, dignity, and any and all social safety nets, and you're also bearing witness to the most vulnerable people immediately being persecuted. This creates a natural stress response that basically means you're going to continue having memory and organizational problems, as well as emotional imbalances.
Me: BUT I HAVE A BULLET JOURNAL AND I MEDITATE NOW.
Tiny OSHA Me: BOSS, THE FASCISM.

They’re scared because they know that the public is with Luigi.

They’re violating his rights because they need to maintain capitalism.
Keep talking about Luigi.

Holding up snarky signs doesn't seem to be working.
For me, it isn't about whether this action is appropriate or not. It's about how this kind of action is inevitable.
I'm going to let Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. explain in a quote no one seems to post during his annual holiday.
"It is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear?"
If you only speak up about a supercharger catching fire and ignore the unheard, you are prioritizing a thing over people.

Daily fucking reminder that Luigi Mangione is innocent, completely and fully. He has been convicted of no crime. He has had no fair trial. He is a SUSPECT. Luigi Mangione is entirely innocent and everyone needs to stop parroting this insidious propaganda that he “committed” the crime he is only SUSPECTED of. He is not a murderer. He is not a criminal. He is an innocent man.

Denmark stands up to Russia.
Denmark stands up to MAGA fascists regarding Greenland.
Be like Denmark.
Appallingly, MAGA and Putin are the same threat to our allies.
With or without American help. Europe will stop Russia.
