hey, im a fictive and im wondering how do you tell which sources are problematic??? ive heard alot of people mention the creator of their source has done fucked up shit, and that makes the source problematic. Do i have to research the creator of my source? Or is it more to do with the actual content of the source? Im really confused and idk if my source is problematic or what, so idk if this is even the right place to ask. sorry if its not!

Yeah it's fine, don't worry! What I've seen is mostly generally controversial sources or has a problematic creator (ex: dsmp, hazbin hotel, yandere simulator, tcoaal, btd, alfred's playhouse, etc) but it can extend to introjects who's source has committed atrocities (ex: william afton from the FNaF franchise)

I think the main issue in classifying things as "problematic" is that people's definitions of problematic can be extremely varied, so people have a lot of different answers to this question.

If anyone else has input they'd like to add, go ahead!
