This is my final take on Bumblebee being infantilized: I think the problem with Bumblebee in media is that there aren't many moments where his smart moment are shown in those media which I think is a part of why he has always been infantilized. He almost never got a chance to show how clever and smart he is despise almost always being the best scout that the autobot has on boardand he reduced to comic relief, jerk with good heart or the cute one with big eyes and the one time he portrayed as a leader/ teacher is in Earthspark, Rid and the Predacon Rising movie those shows/ that one movie end being the ones that fans have so many problems with or straight up hate
