haven’t done much with worshipping hekate much recently and sometimes I flash back to when she was sending me dead animals as signs literally every day because i was refusing to acknowledge or set her altar up

used to go on walks every morning and would have to pass through the crossroads outside my house which were notoriously dark and nobody would come down them that early (I live in a fairly rural area). and I’d literally almost trip over a dead black dog, or a beheaded black serpent, or a beheaded possum. it was literally something new practically every couple days

and the nights before id literally have dreams of being swarmed and bitten by black serpents. Hekate does not play I can assure yall of that

cis straight men flirting is both so dreadful and so funny to me. went to GNC (extremely clocky mind you) to go get some pre and this jacked man is working at the register and making small talk with an older guy about being on tren/TRT. old guy leaves and it’s just me and him and i get hit with “hey ma’am, can i help you find something?”

tell him im getting some ryse pre workout. he recommends me buy one and frankly, if cishet gym bros are good for anything, its attention and gym advice. he helps me pick one out and then he says word for word to me

another man his age came in and immediately he shifted to “yeah I’ll check you out man no problem, have a good day bro” at me in that fake ass voice they all put on.

Aphrodite is one of the most essential goddesses whether humanity likes to acknowledge her or not. Aphrodite is the goddess of love and beauty, the keeper of being enamored with any one or any thing. Without her would we find our partner’s arms paradise? Without her would we still share laughter with our closest companions? Without her would we find enjoyment in our smallest pleasures? Aphrodite holds our desires in her hand; from our greatest passions to our smallest sparks she has our love in her grasp.

Praise Aphrodite for all of the love she gives us whether it be new, lasting, or fleeting for she will always hear our desires and guide us with love.

like yall the entire reason the trend started is because trans women are the ones being predominantly massively targeted by the bathroom bills and bans. the conservative right emphasizes trans womanhood as disgusting and perverted and we make up most of their caricatures about trans people. I live in very rural Florida and most of the discussion I hear about from conservatives near me is “men in women’s clothes” “men in dresses” “men in women’s spaces”. this entire thing feels like the transmasculine version of cis women going “but transphobia and the bathroom laws affect us too!!” like yeah. it does. but you shouldn’t care about something only when there is a chance of it negatively affecting your identity and group.

I think deep down some trans men hold resentment to trans women and view us as the reason they don’t get represented a ton. r/ftm is plagued with “why are trans women so overrepresented??” without even realizing our “representation” is largely serial killers, r-pe victims, cis male actors, and humiliating caricatures. I don’t WANT to be represented like that. we don’t ASK for it. we don’t ASK to be all conservatives think about. we don’t ASK to be some of the most popular porn categories in red states. violence against trans women is so normalized and instead of helping and protecting us, I worry that we will also be turned on by select trans men whenever we try and discuss how our oppressions can differ.

tried to explain to a trans man on Reddit who thought the “protect the dolls” trend is “transmisandric” because “what about us??” and he immediately resorts to saying I have male privilege. I feel like those older sister who have to watch their younger brothers to ensure they don’t fall down the incel pipeline rn Jesus Christ guys

currently working on a hymn from Aphrodite to Adonis for Adonia and doing a lot of research for it. I want to have multiple layers of different languages on top of each other with the base being Ancient Greek to reflect how the story has passed through so many different cultures. just got melodyne and ableton live 12 as well and im very excited to play with it
