ARCHIE “ROADKILL” JONES

A new slasher:

Archie is a newly added slasher in the cartoon and the OC world of HORROR HOUSE. A slasher inspired by both Lester and Vincent Sinclair from the movie House of Wax!

Archie is an eerily friendly, chaotic, adventurous loner collecting roadkill to make art (taxidermies) out of the flattened bodies. He enjoys roadtrips and seems overly sweet and social around new people, seeing how he could make “art” out of potential victims.

CHARACTER DESIGN/EXPRESSIONS: ZORRO/FOX CLEMENTINE

“The Snowman”

Zorro, or Fox as his translated name is, is a near completely hidden slasher within Horror House, usually keeping himself up in his attic bedroom as a form of comfort from the outside world. Whenever he shows up, everything seems to block the view of his face to the viewer, and the most of his face you’ll see is the lower half of his face and possibly an eye. ZZ is a clearly mentally unstable man who’s constantly anxious and paranoid to the point of insanity or spiraling. He has a bit of a childish personality and tends to talk both in first and third person, a slightly whispered voice, and an anxious stutter. His main form of comfort is being around others, cozy things, and Christmas stuff, which he is obsessed over due to childhood trauma. He’s also born hypersexual, which causes a lot of issues for him and sometimes the other slashers. He’s fairly misunderstood for this reason.

This character’s inspo slasher is Billy Lenz from Black Christmas (1974)!

CHARACTER DESIGN: VINCENT R. PARKER “CUPID”

Vincent R. Parker is a ghost that roams around the mansion of HH after one of the slashers bought the doll he haunts and brought it home. He is a much friendlier and sane person within this house of complete psychopaths, murderers, and such, though he’s in the house mostly due to the fact he’s a cool guy and a haunted doll. Vincent is a humorous, creative, and witty ghoul with a fun New York accent. His ghoulish appearance always will look drunk and/or hungover due to the face he was an alcoholic when he died, though he isn’t anymore. However, his ghost-self will show it anyways despite him not being on anything at all. He also used to be a businessman, owning his own toy company and making Cupid, the mascot of his company and the very doll he haunts in the present day.

This character is loosely based off of Chucky! When I first made him he was much more psychotic, but overtime I toned down his mannerisms and gave him some solid lore to him haunting his doll. Now he’s just a neutral soul!

CHARACTER DESIGN: THE HIDDEN VICTORIAN

Sylvester Hellshire is a more hidden, British slasher within Horror House, hidden within the walls of his own mansion which is now HH’s. Not many slashers know about him, nor know very much about who he is, but he’s a very observant, skittish, yet near demonic man who can snap at any given moment if the situation calls for it. He’s able to talk to evil spirits and can near control them, causing the house to have even more of the feeling of dread and unease hung over it. Despite being so dangerous and cautious to the fellow slashers, he’s obsessed and head over heels for his final-girl girlfriend, Hera Quinn. His personality seems to completely change around her.

This OC’s inspo slasher is Brahms Heelshire, and made by @lungr1inz !

CHARACTER DESIGN-KALINO AMITY:

Currently the newest slasher of HORROR HOUSE, Kalino already makes himself a well known person and a friendly guy to be around. He’s fairly misunderstood for his shark traits and habits, but he’s really a very chill, enthusiastic person. Back at home in Hawaii, he works as a life guard despite the fact his shark features show up when he’s in water. It doesn’t seem like he is a slasher of any kind, but once he smells blood it’s clear to see why he was added into the gang, turning animalistic and ravenous as a result. If it’s not that clear already, his inspo character is the Jaws shark!

HIDDEN CHARACTER DESIGN:

Charlie Crowley, HH’s Narrator

Charlie is the narrator of HORROR HOUSE, but rarely shows up or shows his face on screen. He does show up however, but he will show up in a future episode. He’s very goofy and cocky, often giving people he talks to nicknames and such. He’s very talkative and enjoys bothering others for the fun of it. Charlie’s inspo character, even though isn’t necessarily a slasher but a villain, is Beetlejuice, mostly the Broadway version!

Welcome to my art blog! I'm a 17-year-old black artist who's been drawing and creating worlds and characters since 5th grade! I've always wanted to see my characters actually interacting and moving on a screen, so my life's goal has been just that: Animating, writing, and making stories!

"PROJECT:" HORROR HOUSE: My very own (future) cartoon which I might just try and hand make with my GF @lungr1inz , called "HORROR HOUSE". This silly show would be a comedic, slice of life show following a large gang of slasher OCs (all inspired by slasher films) and their daily adventures outside of their gruesome hobby of killing. This show would include some adult themes here and there with some gruesome imagery, but overall many jokes, gags, and even some episodes would be inspired by different things from Spongebob Squarepants, a cartoon I've grown up with! Many characters from this future cartoon will show up within this blog, and you might just learn some cool things about them! If I draw and make anything for the furture handmade cartoon (character models, backgrounds, designs etc.) they will go here: @szlg-horrorhouse !
