Project Jenny is just that, a project. It's a place for me to figure it out as I go and write about things that lift me up. Whether it be food, fashion, friends & family, travels, social media, love, or my happenings in (now) San Francisco (was NYC), you will find bits that inspire me and see a glimpse of how I find balance and stay sane in this beautiful journey of life.

All totally different. All flawless. My favorite looks of the night go to Olivia Wilde, Saoirse Ronan, and Rooney Mara.

It’s been a crazy busy New Year of travel - what happened to January? It flew by...Colombia was beyond words incredible (the coffee farm tour was one of my fave travel days to date), the Daffodil Digital offsite in Tahoe was a great success, the Create & Cultivate women’s conference in Dallas was an awesome whirlwind of a gals weekend, and Austin was just as great the second time around. And now... it’s off to Hawaii next week with the fam jam. 2016, slow down will ya?

Traveling is the light of life. Every trip we take changes us slightly, molding us more into the person we are today. Traveling opens our eyes and souls to new things, and often takes us out of our comfort zone so that we feel even more alive and energized by the world around us. J and I are pumped to have some awesome travels ahead - Colombia, Hawaii, Italy in 2016 - let’s do this!

This beautiful girl asked me to be her matron on honor and stand by her side in August 2016 👭 I am so touched and honored. We were attached at the hip for years living together in NYC and now even though we live on opposite coasts its amazing that nothing much has changed. This girl deserves the world. She is the sweetest, kindest, silliest person I know. I am so excited to help her plan her big day! H- Sending hugs and cali vibes to you in NY. Miss you sista. Xx J

To be a good steward of your life requires you to embrace every aspect of your life, inner and outer, pleasant and unpleasant. You do not necessarily need to face them all at once, just whatever arises in any given moment. Give each moment the attention, sincerity, and commitment that it deserves. A failure to do so is more costly than you can ever imagine.

The older I get the more I wish I could wear a uniform everyday and just not even have to think twice about getting dressed - don’t we have enough to worry about? Don’t get me wrong, I love fashion and shopping and feeling fabulous, and all that, but it takes time...time I don’t feel like I have enough of anymore (it’s considered a good day if I have time to blow dry or curl my hair). More often than not, my go-to “uniform” these days is black on black or at least neutrals and basic pieces with black jeans and booties. It works anywhere - for work or play - and is kind of the perfect urban working girl look.
There is something so chic yet casual, modest yet arrogant, sexy and mysterious about wearing all black and it gives off this “I don’t give an F” vibe (even though you totally do give an F), and that’s just kinda...cool. I’m seriously considering cleaning all of the bright colored/patterned items out of my closet once and for all. For some reason, I can’t stand to even look at them anymore.
I think in our 20′s we experiment with so much - hair colors and cuts, hobbies, style, jobs, roommates, heck even boyfriends and friends from all walks of life - and when we hit our 30′s we are just so tired of all that. Maybe wearing all black is how we mourn the loss of our 20′s, or maybe, maybe we are finally comfortable in our own skin, and we just want to be who we are, live a much simpler life, and ya know, not give an F.

“You got this. Always choose your battles, take deep breathes, and remember to keep everything in perspective. This is fun, and challenging, and maddening, and amazing, and every single day is all part of the journey. You never thought you’d actually go and do this, and look how successful it’s been so far! Get it, gurl. - me, giving myself a pep talk

Loving the half top bun. Thought it only worked on gals with shorter locks, but this beauty might have proven be wrong.
