A female warrior in a time dominated by men, a general in a time ruled by kings. Alexis of Macedon was born with a fire in her spirit that could never be quelled. She grew up at the side of giants, Alexander, Hephaistion, Ptolemy, Cassander. Two would be her brothers, one her lover, and one her greatest enemy. For twenty-two years they stood together, winning wars, conquering the known world, bringing in a new age. For ten more Alexis fought to hold Alexander's empire, side by side with Ptolemy. She became known as 'The Warrior Queen' or 'Queen of Asia', ruler of the known world after Alexander. Love. Death. Betrayal. War. This is the story of Alexis of Macedon.

You know her story, but you don't know his. See the world of Alexander, Alexis, Ptolemy and Solon through the eyes of Hephaistion, his life spread before you in a sweeping tale of a soul caught between times, in a place that will never be right for him. He dreams of the past and the future. From the beginning, he knew how it would end. Follow in his footsteps as he tries to navigate a life where he has never felt quite right in his own skin, hear his words, and see the world as he saw it.

Whale Song
My child is born, but she does not live. She does not breathe. She does not glide through the water at my side.
I have no arms to carry her, so I will carry her on my back. I will carry her until she gasps for air and we will dive deep.
We will chase salmon and seal. We will swim side by side. We will leap into the air together, my child and I. Our song will be heard in the sound.
I have no arms to carry her, so I will carry her on my back. My love will waken her and we will swim side by side.
The sun sets, the sun rises. She does not wake. She does not swim by my side. I carry her on my back. The sun rises and the sun sets.
She does not glide through the water. She does not sing to the sea. I carry her on my back. She does not breathe.
I have no arms to carry her. My voice is raw with calling. All is silent as she slides below, joining her ancestors in the deep. I cannot breathe.

Recently widowed Evan Masters moved to Wyoming to get away from it all, to find peace away from the rushed life he's used to in the city. Now, however, his biggest problem has become that his house is out to get him, falling apart around his ears. After six months of trying to make repairs alone, Evan finally gives in and hires Russell Travers, a young architect down on his luck and out of work, to help fix his house. What starts out as a mutually beneficial deal that will give Evan a true home and Russ the means to get out of down and start over quickly becomes more complicated as the weeks pass, and working closely together, feelings develop between them. It's been so long since Evan dated that the very thought of a new relationship terrifies him, and Russ is desperate to leave the town he's been stuck in his whole life. Will it be over before it begins? Or will they find that they truly care for each other enough to let go of the past and move forward together?

The holidays have always made John feel his loneliness more than normal, and this Christmas is turning out to be the worst one yet. Despite just wanting to forget what time of year it is, John forces himself to hold with tradition and goes to London to see the tree at Trafalgar Square. Only this time there is another lonely soul unknowingly being drawn to him. Edward is a quiet bookstore owner who’s had his share of failed relationships and isn’t looking for anything new. But when he sees John in Trafalgar Square, staring up at the tree with loneliness written all over his face, he can’t help himself and soon he’s completely drawn in, his world tilting on its axis as Christmas swirls around them. Neither believe in love at first sight, but this holiday may just change their minds, carefully pushing them together just long enough to realise that there really is magic in the air when Christmas comes.
