* Please note, your USB drive needs to be formatted as exFAT. To do this, put your usb drive into a PC, right click the drive, select format and choose exFAT from the drop down menu.

Playstation Plus and PlayStation Store

When are the new PlayStation Plus games released?

If the games have been announced you will be able to find them here: http://blog.eu.playstation.com/tag/playstation-plus/

In general though, the new games are always released on the first Wednesday of the month wherever you live.

How do the PlayStation Plus free games work? Do I lose access to my PlayStation Plus free games if I dont renew my subscription?

The games will be available to download/play from the month you subscribe. You only get access to the games which have been made available to PS+ users whilst your subscription is active. If you let your subscription lapse you will lose access to all of the PS+ games however you will be able to play them again if you renew your subscription at any time.

My favourite game just got a new update/patch. How do I see what was updated? 

You can do this by pressing the PS button to take you back to the dashboard where all your games are located. Select the game that got updated, but instead of pressing X to launch the game, press options on your DS4, then select 'Update History'. This will tell you the current version number, as well as what has been updated in the latest patch.

I bought xxx game from the Playstation Store, its xx big, how long would it take to download?

1. First, on the Playstation store, find the game and see what the size of it is, and take note of it.

2. Goto speedtest.net and run it, using your local ISP. Take note of your 'download' speed.

3. Go to this site http://www.numion.com/calculators/time.html and enter in the details for the file size from the PlayStation Store. For overhead, put 10 and match your speed to the results.

Can I play games from the US on my Australian/European Console?

Yes. The PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Slim, and the PlayStation 4 Pro is region free.

Can I buy games from the US PlayStation store on my Australia/European console?

Yes, you will need to create a new (free) PlayStation profile that has a fake US address. There are a few payment options.

What are the payment options?

The two most popular options are;

* Buy US PSN cards from Amazon. The first time you do this it may take up to four hours to receive your code, afterwards it should be fairly instant.

* Create a US PayPal account and load it with funds from your Australian PayPal account via the "Send Money" function. You can then load your US PlayStation store wallet via this new US PayPal account.

Can I play the games bought on my US account on my Australian/European account?

Yes, you must first set your PlayStation 4 console as your US profiles 'home console' under the PSN settings on your PS4 (while logged in under your US profile).

Help! My console is saying I can't play my US purchased games anymore!!

Login under your US profile, go to settings > PSN settings > Restore licenses. Fix't

Digital Game Sharing

Can I share my digital purchases with anyone else?

Yes, as long as the following conditions are met;

* You purchase your digital games under the profile you intend on playing them on.

* You can only share with one other person

* You trust the other person with your PSN password/account

To do this, you simply have to set your friends console as your profiles 'home' console and your friend must do the same with your console. You will each be able to play digital purchases you have both bought at the same time.
