Maybe I’m in a bad brain space but I think being in a tank would be very soothing. Everything would be accounted for. I’d get food dropped in my mouth, I’d get praise, I’d get vet care. The walls would be known quantities for all my life.
I glimpsed through a study that suggested pseudorcas had better welfare outcomes in captivity than some other delphinidae (not the exact wording, but that was just gist) and maybe that holds true for me too.

Very frustrating trying to find images of pseudorcas and they are almost all unidentified and unsourced. Especially vintage photos or anything of captive pseudorcas. I want to catalogue them here because it’s so rare I see anyone discussing pseudorcas in marine parks, but I don’t want to repost images uncredited and without even a name for the animal in them when I know they had one :<

Two variations, both quite personal. Male homosexuality and transspeciesm, both labels I assign to myself.
In our (orca) societies, homosexuality is something completely normal, and is never looked down upon. Males between the ages of 12-25 (sometimes even younger and older) often engage in socio-sexual behaviours with each other, involving affectionate yet sexual interactions, sometimes even more than with females... And, as far as I know, even female orcas will also get together once a while, especially older, established matriarchs.
Homosexuality is found in various species on Earth, and as far as I know, individuals that express it are never ostracized... Except for one species, homosapiens, which is the only one that is known to become extremely aggressive when met with displays of homosexuality.
Whether human or nonhuman, homosexuality has always been something natural, and only after the creation of humanity's abrahamic gods, colonization and fear created to control the masses did homosexuality start to be viewed as something to look down upon.
But, no matter how much those forces try to tear us apart, we still rise from above the rubble.
As for my transspeciesm, that is a whole another thing entirely. However, my transition is simply getting back to who I once was. I was born as a theriform whale, underwent forced transition into a human, and now am simply going back to my original self. (Actually, it could honestly be considered species detransition, now that I think about it... Haha, labels are difficult! Either way, I still identify strongly with the label transspecies.)
My transition is something real, something I am striving for, and something I take completely seriously. I do fully intend on going back to the water, hopefully through a mechanical whale suit me and my companions will take part in creating.

The Marineland Antibes orcas and dolphins have not been abandoned!
You may be seeing media coverage claiming that Wikie and Keijo and the bottlenose dolphin family have been “left to rot” or “abandoned”. They are not.
There is still a team of dedicated trainers coming in daily to provide food, enrichment, health care ect.

It’s very unlikely they are getting very well paid, if at all, for coming in. But they are because they love these animals and are doing everything they can to look after them in very crappy circumstances.
See the post here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1VVmyDZP8T/?mibextid=wwXIfr
These animals need to be moved out and into better facilities (despite activists constantly blocking the moves) but, in the meantime, they have dedicated professionals doing everything they can to ensure their welfare.
