Randa's brothers are finally on their way out of Khartoum! Randa is just $698 away from completing her family's fundraiser, and she's hoping to be able to finish it in the next few days due to the US imposing sanctions on Sudan. Here is more about the current situation in Randa's words from and update she posted to the fundraiser:

"We’re Almost There, just $1,000 Left! Let’s Finish This Together It’s been a year and a half since we started this fundraiser, and thanks to your incredible support, we’re now just $1,000 away from reaching our goal! We’re deeply relieved to share that my brothers have finally managed to escape Khartoum and are now on their way out. This is a huge milestone and it would not have been possible without your help. Every donation, share, and word of encouragement has carried us through.

But now, time is running out.

Due to the recent escalation in U.S. sanctions on Sudan, we are worried that access to our fundraiser or the ability to transfer funds might soon be affected. That’s why we’ve made the decision to close the fundraiser by the end of this month — we need to secure the remaining support urgently while we still can.

Islam @islamgzacc4 is 27 years old physical therapist from Gaza. due to the genocide, his 85 years old grandfather lost his arm, and his mother was recently diagnosed with cancer. they’ve been displaced several times and currently live in a tent. they also don’t have access to proper medical care, food, water, electricity etc.

the fundraiser is #332 on the list by @/el-shab-hussein and @/nabulsi. only €7,452 has been raised out of the €30,000 goal. they don’t have another source of income.

As you all know I'm a good friend of Mohammad Ayesh ( @moayeshblog ) and I've seen him work tireless to help others at the expense of helping himself and his own interests. From his work with @gaza-evacuation-funds and @ihyaafoundation. And I'd like to advocate for his own fundraiser right now.

The living situation in Gaza is catastrophic and he is no exception. He is still a very young man but he's shouldering the huge responsibility of his family, by going out every single day to find what little food is even available in Gaza to provide for his family. Only 1 kilo of flour is 30 dollars. That's just enough to make around 12 small loaves of bread. And this needs to feed 8 people for a whole day. And that's just a small glimpse of the daily life that Mohammad is living with his whole family.
