And Like the inherent tragedy of danbert is that Herbert has never felt inadequate because of what he lacks, because he's never met someone that he actually wants to be understood by... so with Dan he's trying to use this incredibly limited social/emotional vocabulary for like the first time Ever and is frustrated when it's not good enough.....!! he's just this terrible little animal insisting that he is So Not Owned when he has, in fact, been owned...!!!

like. to me. i feel like Herbert is very aware of the fact that he is "missing" something that most people seem to consider fundamental. he's just coped with this by being a huge cunt 24/7 & developing a complex about how dumb and wrong everyone else on earth is. u know.

i've officially gotten 40 pre-orders!!!! thank you all so much, this is much more than i was expecting and i'm so grateful for the support.

i've decided i will be capping pre-orders at 50 books (if i reach that before May 15th.) this is a new experience for me, and i want to make sure i'll be able bind books & mail out orders in a timely fashion for everyone. i'll almost certainly do a second run if there is interest past that.
