People have little understanding of or appreciation for the sheer amount of work that goes into making anything at all. Every wire, screw, clip, knob or hinge-- that metal had to be mined, melted, shaped. The wood in your house, the rock dust for the cement, glass windows... Fabric has to be grown/raised, harvested, woven, dyed/printed, then sewn. Food in stores is farmed (in toxic fashion), harvested, processed, packaged, shipped hundreds of miles, unloaded, and stocked. Look at every single thing you have. Not one single person actually involved in its creation received compensation proportionate to their efforts. This whole world was built on slave labor. Predominantly women's.
Money shouldn't exist. Endless production/productivity shouldn't exist. There are no viable proxies for the value of labor and implementation of justice. Things like "money", "economy", "legal system", and "religion" are fundamentally designed to shield parasites from the consequences of their actions whilst simultaneously granting the masses the illusion of conviction.
This is the only life anyone will ever have. Every drop of time wasted is a crime against humanity. Any given comfort or convenience you experience is paid for in the blood, smothered dreams, existential anguish, and forced labor of others. By the destruction of our planet as a whole.
Anyone who dribbles trite clown shit like "destroying the system is the easy way out" is just putting doll clothes on their sunk cost fallacy. This is a person who has never actually built anything. You cannot build on unstable ground (one big mass grave really) or rotted foundations. Time is blood and squandered life. We do not have time to coddle a derelict necropolis. Thinking that we do is proof of privilege.
Good thing we women possess the means with which to topple any empire.

I work in tech (a male dominated field) and have no fucking clue as to why it is paid so well when compared to some other fields… you know, other than the reason being it’s a male dominated field lol.
Teachers are underpaid and overworked, especially primary school teachers, and it’s outrageous they make about the same as I do with my entry level position.

The fury I felt when I finally had to buy a new laptop, only to discover this fresh shit.
The fact that Microsoft Word has to be a subscription is upsetting. I already paid for it why do I have to pay again

Most of the population here is below or very slightly above the poverty line, but the influx of Californians has jacked home prices up where a 50-year-old trashed mobile home across the street sold for $250,000. A new mobile home sold for $500,000. Shittily build two-story houses in the tract down the street sold for even more-- mfuckers didn't even use 2x8s ffs.
So I learned to build cottages and found unrestricted land-- unrestricted meaning multiple residences, businesses, and livestock are permitted. I have every type of power tool, can grow anything, can make anything. I'm not even in the vicinity of fucking around. Materials for a 700 sq ft home cost like... 40k tops. That's built STRONG and environmentally friendly.
Whip out some grid paper friends. Make some plans. Leave this shitshow behind.
The absolute upper limit of what can be considered affordable for a home is 4x your income. Ideally it should be 3x, but 4x is the limit for reasonably stretching your budget.
Using Sacramento as an example, median home price is about $510k, and median household income is about $85,000
That number for Sacramento is 6x, and that's for a middling city with middling employment prospects. So the entire city for almost everyone living there is by definition unaffordable. And that's not as bad as it gets
Let's look at Toronto. Median income is around $91,000, median home price is just over $1,100,000. That's a ratio of 12:1. You would need to be making a quarter of a million dollars just to be able to qualify for a mortgage.
For a home to be affordable, one of two things need to happen: 1) incomes need to rise astronomically overnight or 2) home prices need to crash astronomically overnight
In Sacramento, that means the median income needs to double (to $170k per year), or home prices need to crash by 50%
In Toronto, that means incomes need to quadruple (to $370k per year) or home prices need to crash about 75%
This is how bad the housing crisis is. I don't think people truly understand the gravity of how bad it is. Home prices should not be this high. Incomes should not be this low. Look back 100 years and you won't find a time when affordability was this bad for everyone everywhere. Things must change

If you've never worked minimum wage retail/food industry to survive for a significant length of time, know that your priorities and general risk assessments are deeply flawed. Oppression thrives on making some people just comfortable enough that they believe in the system and their ability to advance, affect, and find fulfilment within it. Nobody is more oppressed on all fronts than women. All women everywhere. This is real: strength in your hands, land, plants, beasts, food, the ocean, sun and moon. The rest is just noise. Nonsense. A cage.
This earth once contained multiple Edens. Matriarchal reservoirs of life. I descend from such a people. My people held onto the Old Ways even as patriarchal rot infected all those around them. Land and the home belonged to the Woman. Children belonged to the Woman. Head of Clan was a Woman. 13 months, 28 days each. Their mastery of agriculture (in the agroforestry/permaculture sense) and trade was so great that they kept neighboring people alive. Not one person went hungry or homeless (unless you were an exiled male).
We know now men don't deserve the benefit of the doubt. That men of all nations are much the same. Their doctrines and technologies in service of Death and Wanton Destruction have hit their peak, it's all been made or at least lustfully imagined. There is no coexistence with the current paradigm. There is no appeasement. There is no love. There is no life worth living. Patriarchy is a cursed infant that sucks blood from your teat once the milk's run dry. He gorges and gorges, never growing up, just becoming a larger screaming infant. A woman of my people would leave that infant in the snow to die.
We could be free of meaningless toil, money, state and sexual enslavement. All that's needed for a nightmare to end is for us to wake up. Us women.

Brief tangent about animals: predators can't afford to waste calories or get injured. Their goal is always the most calories for the least amount of effort. I've been around bears, mountain lions, wolves and coyotes and never felt endangered even once. As long as you understand critical space and body language, it's fine. If a predator is acting out with unchecked aggression, the culprit is likely rabies.
Now, large herbivores are extremely dangerous (I'm excluding elephants from this category). They KNOW they're gonna die, so they will FLIP OUT if you spook them. What spooks them? Oh man all KINDS of shit.
Men are just evil.
I've always found the bear discourse so strange. I live in the Alaskan panhandle during the summer and have seen multiple bears. They're usually just chilling. They've never attacked me. I usually go out to the islands with thick forests to find skulls - I'm a bone collector - and take photographs of animals, and once, I was sitting on a log right by a big black bear who was fishing on the beach and didn't notice her. I'm a 4'11, underweight 17 year old girl who definitely couldn't scare a bear away no matter how hard I try, and despite this, she just walked straight past me. I'm sure she knew I was there.
If it were a man there...

I hate postmodernism.
Who decided we should start debating definitions. Who decided identity could supersede reality? And who the fuck made it a social movement?
