My exact problem every day is not spending all my money on collecting Shan books

Ah, to have the money to collect the last 3 Omnibus Mangas of Cirque Du Freak (I own the first 3), the Saga of Larten Crepsley, the entirety of Demonata and Zom-B, and The Thin Executioner (the only one I haven't read). I love Darren Shans works. He was a huge part of my childhood 😭😭

I feel like I should share the fact that while reading crooked kingdom for the first time I was on a cruise so

1. I had no internet or much else to do so I was literally just reading 24/7

2. Due to the lack of internet it was impossible for me to spoil anything for myself so I just had to experience everything with 100% no warnings besides the book itself

3. My room had a balcony so I was reading it with the smell of the sea air and the breeze and view

3 1/2. Bc of that I was completely immersed, like just imagine reading all about Kerch and the crows on the sea, while being on the sea yourself

4. I got to read later at night to, So yknow, cold, damp, sea air while reading the dark nighttime scenes

Ok listen I know it’s well known in the fandom how terrible the movie is but like… I cannot get enough of it.

When I first read the books like almost 10 years ago I had no internet access and the movie was the only outside source of content of the books and has since become a comfort movie.

Idk if this will count as a hot take but most of the casting I don’t mind and has actually gotten to the point where when I’m rereading most of the characters look like the movie cast in my mind.

I need to know others like actual deep opinion bc I feel like there’s no way I’m not the only one who doesn’t fully despise the movie.

I genuinely think to myself multiple times a day about getting this tattooed and I have for months. Never had a tattoo but this is a must for me

Ok this might be too much of a reach but Darren Shan (and especially cirque du freak) have been my biggest special interest for the past 7 or 8 years since I read the books for the first time. I have a shelf full of his books and I’m working on collecting the different cover sets but I wish there was stuff I could decorate the shelves with.

This is where I need help. I’ve gotten some film cells from the movie from someone on etsy to put up by the lights but I would love more things to decorate with. If anyone has any suggestions or knows someone who makes merch or anything of his books I would greatly greatly appreciate it 🙏🙏
