I'm sorry if you're tired of thinking about ofmd and that whole mess but goddamn... it's incredibly painful to see so many people trying to set up fundraisers to get their families out of gaza and the sudan and desperately trying to get their loved ones to safety, I've seen so many and everyday I check to see how much progress they've made, most of them still haven't hit their goal. It hurts to see people rally around a tv show and raise all this money for a billboard, and it's very frustrating to see how people have reacted to this criticism. Like bro tv shows get canceled sometimes there's more important stuff going on

Someone else said it better but to see a fundraiser for tv show renewal advertisements raise $20,000 in less than a day while it takes days/weeks/months/years/never for fundraisers for actual causes that help real people in need reach a goal of less is absolutely dystopian and shameful

The interaction between Tarantulas and Nightshade in Earthspark really landed with me. I'm loving seeing Tarantulas in this sort of role. It was truly touching to see that interaction and encouragement of LGBTQ youth in media. Here's to hoping Nightshade and Tarantulas meet again in season 2! There is so much more I could say about this, but there is not enough room. Remember to check with reality rather than believing conspiracy theories promoted, supported, and funded by white nationalist hate groups.

Missouri is proposing 20% of the nation’s anti-trans legislation this session. Gender-affirming care for young folks is on the edge of being criminalized (so much love to trans friends in states where that has already happened).

Please keep up with the anti-trans legislation in your state and combat it. There are lives at stake.

I'm trying to get back to drawing after not having inspiration. I have things I should draw, but I want to try to get back into the swing of things before tackling set projects and get disappointed they're not turning out and discourage myself alksjfd Any thoughts or suggestions? Could be a specific character, pose, or some of your own go-to warm ups/practice you use to help get back into the swing of things. Transformers, animals, whatever! Or just tell me something that would make you really happy to see. No wrong answers, and you can make self indulgent requests(just don't expect the request to be met lol) this is just a "see if the spaghetti sticks" situation to help loosen up my creaky drawing hand. I have the time since I'm on break, so I wanna try to work on creative stuff!

That post that's like "stop writing characters who talk like they're trying to get a good grade in therapy" really blew the door wide open for me about how common it's become for a character's emotional intelligence to not be taken into consideration when writing conflict. I remember the first time I went to therapy I had such a hard time even identifying what I was feeling, let alone had the language to explain it to someone else. Of course there are plenty of people who've never been to therapy a day in their life who are in tune to their emotions. But even they would have some trouble expressing themselves sometimes. You have to take into account there are plenty of people who are uncomfortable expressing themselves and people who think they're not allowed to feel certain ways. It also makes for more interesting conflict to have characters with different levels of understanding.
