So this is actually a drawing I had nearly completed before I decided to remake the last drawing I posted before. Also it's a drawing I simply made to get back into drawing these idiots after being gone so long. Also they're in the sweaters again because I didn't have their references on hand at the time so I went simple lol Originally I hadn't planned to share this, but it's art of these two so I figured why not throw it here. Just Monkies getting along, that's about it.

Jumpscare! I've returned! This time I come with an art piece a lil familiar to this account. A redraw of this art I did a long time back. It was one of my favorites I've drawn of them, but I didn't like the old style it was drawn in. So why not give it a second wind? I missed drawing these two. I have some other ideas skittering in my head that should be out way sooner than my last post lol

When your new adopted child is a master at discovering the best fruits without trying. MK actually still has this talent even as an adult. He's not aware he has it, but both Mac and Wukong are aware. - Dooooodle, because I got stuff to do in the morning and don't have time for anything else. I do have ideas for other stuff though.

Playing more into this au of mine, which also means time moved differently than in the show. Saving the world didn't just take a small amount of time, but instead it took weeks.

I wanted to draw Possessed Wukong's reaction to Macaque using his ears around him.

Is Wukong flustered because they're cute or a little bit of him is breaking through and he's surprised that Mac is allowing him to see them? Who knows, you decide ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Might do more with this au, as this was fuuuuun.

I feel like when MK was still with Mac and Wukong as their actual son- He'd get nightmares of future events (I'd like to think he doesn't hear it like Mac, but gets dreams of it) and would wake in the middle of the night and go outside to find comfort in the stars. They'd sit there and be silent support unless MK sparked up a conversation. Often times not bringing up the nightmares themselves, but rather he'd ask Wukong or Mac to tell him stories. I imagine he still goes to them after nightmares even as an adult. -- Wowie, hello hi, I've been gone a bit. Welp, not only did I take an intentional hiatus- but it was kinda an influenced one. Basically my drawing tablet broke early on into last month and I had to be without for over a week and it kinda sparked an art block for lmk art for a bit. So I decided to go on a bit of a break until I could get into again Aaaaand here I am now c: I've got a couple more doodle ideas, so let's hope I can get those out in a reasonable time.

Unrelated, but can you do a tutorial for eyes?

Sure! Here's a lil something I put together, hope it helps!

And if it's difficult to read I'll go ahead and put my steps here in text: Step 1 -

Basically to start- We'll be using 3 main colors. You'll be only using these 3 colors throughout the whole process unless you wanna add on some extras for flair or preference. Step 2 -

Using these colors, I outline a set of irises along with the pupils. Then I fill in the eyes with what will be considered the character's main eye color.

Note: When the sclera is darker than the character's eye color I tend to use a color darker than it for the pupils and irises. Step 3 -

Using the darkest color, and on it's own layer, you color 1/3 of the eye on the top. You'll then set this layer to "Multiply". Using the same color of the irises, also on it's own layer, you'll color over the bottom of the irises and pupil. This layer will be set to "Add/Glow". Step 4 -

Set both layers to 30% opacity, and blur until you're content with the results. I also recommend changing layer opacity of either if you think it fits the eye colors better.

Note: Sometimes I'll add an extra "Add/Glow" layer if I really want to make the eyes stand out or glow.

Step 5 -

Then on a new layer I'll add some shapes and lines in the eyes to give a little shine. This layer will be another "Add/Glow" layer. Then it's set to 20-30% opacity.

I'll sometimes use other shapes other than this in the eyes to show off different emotions. Though, this is the one I conistantly use.

Note: I didn't mention this in the post because I forgot to do so- but you use the same color you used for the irises for this step! Step 6 -

Then finallly I add some light reflection, sometimes adding in an extra glow to them if I feel like going the extra mile to do so.

Anyway, that's basically my current process!

Now that Season 5 has been out a good bit I feel it's been long enough to the point I can share arts of it. Also I've thrown my friend to the sharks and they've seen it too so spoilers are good to go Not that I don't love our new lil snake villain dude bro- But god he rOBBED us of that hand holding scene. So outta spite I decided to doodle some hand holding because I love them. Honestly everything about them this season tore me apart. These stupid chaotic monkies have my heart.

And this is an au idea I've begun playing around with involving canon lore of MK being Wukong's brother- Basically MK is taken in by Wukong where he's raised as Wukong's little brother and as a result when Macaque meets Wukong he ends up meeting MK as well.

This is actually more of a Sunburst based AU, but this was a scene I imagined in my head so yknow,,,

SO Mac has a tendency to get himself injured because he's always popping in and out of places causing mischief, and teenage MK takes it upon himself to get Mac bandaged up since he hates seeing him hurt. Mac will admit that the kid is pretty entertaining

Also I've made it clear in one of the art things I've posted that MK just likes to kidnap Mac's scarf whenever he's not wearing it because he thinks it's super cool. It's just a thing he does in every universe for me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wukong can neither confirm nor deny that he had any influence in his child biting the annoying bird. He's a proud monkey dad. --- Also despite what is known now- this au remains the same and MK is their dumb kid. Though I have some ideas I might mess around with. Just a couple doodles of an idea that haunted me.

See I can draw more than just the monkeys I swear--- I'm sure there's a lot of errors in this but this was made very fast because I wanted to doodle him before going to work. Bring him baaaack I beg, I adore him.

So basically- I got to thinking about how Wukong offered Macaque the peach popsicle at the end of the special and it's been seen as an olive branch and I was like "What if that becomes a reoccurring thing they do--" So in my mind it's become something they offer eachother after something rough happens either between them or as a situation together. A silent message of "We'll work on this", kinda like a pinkie promise- But y'know their own monkey version of it. I imagine Macaque was the first to start it after something that stressed them both out, Wukong mostly, and it's just become a common thing now. I normally don't draw anything other than cutesy wholesome moments but even I realize these two have so much to work through emotionally and they've barely had time to even do that because they're emotionally hit with a bus just about every episode.

Honestly, me drawing the two will probably mainly stay on the wholesome side since it's just more comfortable for me to work with, but who knows there might be bits and pieces of the harder work they gotta go through to get there. I'd like to think they get there eventually though. --- Wowie hello- this took like a week to complete the first drawing and within that period the new episodes dropped and it also felt like I was emotionally hit by a bus. I started this with the intention of the first drawing after whatever events of the new episodes occurred but I've suddenly learned that this show has a very chaotic releasing every single time- I am so sorry for those who's had to experience it in the past- my god. I have seen the new episodes- Only not in English so I only could understand what I watched but man it was a lot-- I also have those non English episodes saved saved because I played this "Find the episodes" game when I started watching and had to hunt down the special for 4. Fun times. Regarding spoilers- I'll be drawing new art for the recent episodes of course- but won't post them for a good bit to be fair to those awaiting the English dub, one of those being one of my friends that follows me. I don't wanna spoil anything for them until then <3 Also might I add- this is the same friend who is probably the reason this took days to finish for dragging me to play modded minecraft with them daily,,, Anyway, I'll be trying to branch out and draw the other characters in meantime so I'll see you then!

When you start just responding in random words to your child that you can't understand in hopes of having some kind of conversation and it ends up going on for several hours. Wukong thinks it's just some cute little chat about the stuff around them but in reality MK is joyously telling him about the worm he put on Wukong’s pillow. Mac just hopes Wukong hasn't agreed to some chaotic baby idea. --- Just a doodle because I've been busy with work. I have a bigger more story driven drawing coming up somewhat soon--

I imagine that the two monkey dads didn't share their unique features immediately after finding MK for the fear that he'd be frightened of them. It was Macaque who found out quickly that they were likely overreacting. It was an accident that MK ended up discovering Mac's ears, and he's been fascinated with them since.

I feel like Wukong would be much more reluctant to show off his eyes because he'd probably assume they'd terrify a little kid. So despite Mac's insistence to show MK, Wukong would decide to wait until MK was older. Only problem is he wouldn't get a choice in that matter, because MK decided to follow Wukong when he was going to go swimming. There MK hopped onto his back and began fangirling over how cool his dad looked. Sorry Wukong, you can't be self conscious when you have a kid that thinks everything about you is cool. --- Haven't drawn Wukong with red eyes since I first drew him after watching the series- I need to do it more often because its fun. Also more monkey fam doodles because they give me happy comfort feels.

So in the past few drawings i've done of MK I've given him new pointed ears- That's because I saw a post somewhere mentioning a lot of people giving MK petal ears like Mac and while I didn't do that I decided to add a bit of Mac's ears to MK's design. So pointed ears it is! They also move similarly to Mac's when it comes to emoting. This scene is right after they find MK, because he wasn't an expected/planned situation. They found him. Mac questions why his ears are pointed, and Wukong comments that he likes them because they remind him of Mac's ears. No, they don't clue in that he's biologically their kid. They're very dumb.

And finally I draw the famous Traffic Light Trio. I did this entirely to show that MK's ears match his friends' ears. Though his only come out in Monkey form, Mei's come out after some power related thing occurs, and Red's are just there. Also Red didn't expect to get dragged into their chaotic adventures when he agreed to this friendship, he wants a refund. ---- Okok this whole drawing set could be entirely better, but I started it a couple days ago and then got sick :D And I'm still recovering from being sick as I finish this, so I just wanted it done. That and I also wanted to finally design Red Son and Mei. I've drawn Red before but more as a concept, but I've never drawn Mei- Which is a crime because she's a joy. Expect more of them because I have an actual design to go off of now.

Redraw of this since its like my first post that took off here- I started this before the trailer dropped and I'm not particularly sure why. Speaking of the trailer, while I'm saddened by Flying Bark's departure- I'm really excited to see where the story takes us and I hope WildBrain does their best for the series. Also I may have a lot of au ideas based around what we've seen from the trailer, so potential chaos coming along

So I'm a huge fan of the "Mac gets hurt and Wukong ends up caring for him" even moreso when it's at MK's insistence. So this isn't au related but more of a small idea where Mac gets injured somehow and doesn't inform anyone, but MK finds out anyway and takes Mac in. Wukong finally finds out and MK insists that Mac goes to stay with him because he has a better understanding of Mac's healing abilities. Anyway, bippity boppity they become friendly friends, and MK is thrilled. I'm also a big fan of "Mac fell first in the past, and Wukong fell harder in the present" so that constantly plays into things.

Also have a secondary scene of MK being incredibly smug.

All I want from season 5 is them becoming friendly towards eachother and it results in Wukong being a doting idiot because you cannot convince me that man has shame.

-- Sorry for my extreme inactivity-- I've been bouncing in between fandoms like a ping pong ball. I'm not used to drawing these idiots anymore so if there's mistakes i blame that, I'll get better i promise--
