i'm late to starting posting my hero and partner week drawings this year but oh well. i've drawn a different explorers team everytime i've participated and that's very amusing to me.

i got explorers for christmas and i love my team they are very silly. <3 i don't actually have a unique name for the hero yet i just always name my player characters after myself in video games-

tbh i know all the important plot points already (damn 8-year-old me looking at the bulbapedia page for it) so i am definitely prepared-

i got explorers for christmas (v good game btw, not very far but it's v fun :3) and like. so i got vulpix on the personality quiz. which is cool and all but also like.

vulpix is the hero option for a relaxed nature. i literally have anxiety disorder. the game gave my anxious ass self a relaxed nature-

very fond of any extra teammates you have during dungeons being present during cutscenes. partially just because it's very amusing to watch the barboach i recruited in waterfall cave just watch as me and my partner fail at pulling out a gem and then almost die from a flood-

i like how like 90% of super's personality quiz doesn't effect anything. you can answer however you want for the first like five questions and still get any pokemon for both the hero and partner. only the last three effect anything. no idea why.

Round 1 Match 10: Dusknoir VS. Zasp

Dusknoir, specifically the one from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Starts the game out being a famous explorer, even being fairly close to the protagonist and saving them, and teaming up a few times to attempt to stop a criminal who he claims is attempting to paralyze the world by stopping the flow of time, causing what would later be revealed to be the “dark future”. However, he eventually betrays the protagonist and its revealed that it was Dusknoir who wanted to cause the dark future the whole time, under direct orders from the god of time. However, it's revealed he mostly goes along with his orders due to a genuinely realistic fear. If the dark future is erased, so will Dusknoir. However, he eventually agrees to help stop the dark future anyway despite it resulting in his erasure. Commonly shipped with Grovyle, due to the two starting out as enemies, but eventually gaining a sort of kinship.

Zasp, a skilled fighter and member of a guild of explorers, alongside his partner (in more ways than one), Mothiva. He is introduced as extremely rude and bitter, insulting the main characters and willing to try and uproot their accomplishments in the pursuit of the fame it would bring him and Mothiva. However, he’s eventually revealed to have a strong sense of honor and is actually pretty nice, only going along with some of his more vain plans due to his partner being an idol who really only cares about fame and fortune, and even helps out the protagonists when she isn’t around, as he is extremely loyal to her and wouldn’t go against her for a second. He is also made accidentally transmasc, due to his design being based on a female wasp of his species.
