Even growing up in a country with good sex ed, I've had to explain, time and time again, that hormonal bc-meds are the only reason I can function at all duruing my piriods. this might sound stupid but I can’t help but believe that the new wave of “birth control is actually horrible for your body, you need to get off it immediately” misinformation from influencers and the ‘natural cycle tracking’ apps suddenly being advertised is a sneaky underhanded way of causing more unplanned pregnancies that people now cannot abort. now is possibly the worst time ever to turn towards ‘natural family planning’

Big cinema is just utterly disappointing nowadays. They've given up the art of storytelling in favor of big name hype and the easy money remake option. As someone persuing a career in the field, it's been super demotivating to watch.

But if you look at animation, especiallly series made for kids and young adults, there's a lot of cool stuff going on! There are still tons of passionate people out there and theyre gonna find a way to get their art on screen. It makes me a lot more hopeful!

I hate films these days. I haven't been to the cinema since before COVID and litterally nothing has tempted me to bother. They're shallow, uninteresting, remakes, full of terrible CGI, unedited scripts, awful sound quality that shifts from muttering to deafening, flat lighting, and labour violations.
