thereās something so beautifully sisyphean about following a sports team. each season is a cycle of pushing a boulder up a hill, and every time you think, maybe this is the time weāll get it to the top of the hill. we just need to keep pushing that boulder. then when it rolls down again, you think, okay, maybe this time is different. maybe if weāre sufficiently hopeful and lucky and hardworking we can push that boulder to the top of the hill. and then it rolls down again. and then you decide to keep pushing the boulder ā
and itās maddening. but itās also kind of niceā¦because thereās always the next season, and thereās always the same boulder, so you start to almost feel fond of the boulder. and wouldnāt it feel amazing if you did get it to the top of the hill one day? and wasnāt it kind of fun to push the boulder, even if it was painful in real time? anyway, one must imagine sports fans happy

post: el problema es el capitalismo
half of the people in the notes, predictably: good word!š± it appears that, despite not being fluent in spanish, i have this strange intuitionš§ that āproblemaā means āproblemā and ācapitalismoā means ācapitalism!āāļø from there, i thinkš¤ i can put these words together to infer that this post says āthe problem is capitalism!ā š¤Æš¤Æš¤Æ truly, this post transcends language!š

I just saw this..

And I knew what had to be done

I love them more than words can describe.
Also I didn't feel like doing actual shading so I just threw colors places and hoped for the best

Ponyboy calling Darry in his junior year of college cause heās practically falling apart with the stress of everything and needs Darryās advice. He needs Darry to tell him it aināt all bad and heās gonna be just fine cause Darry was just fine. And then Darry has to gently tell Ponyboy that heās gonna be fine, but Darry canāt offer any more specific advice cause by now, Pony has been in college longer than Darry was.
Thatās when it occurs to Ponyboy how truly young his brother was when it all happened. Ponyboy was 20 now and his biggest stress was his upcoming finals. When his brother was 20, he was raising two teenage boys and working two jobs and barely making ends meet. It was shocking how different their lives were at the same age. And it made Ponyboy even more grateful that his brother did all of that and Pony turned out ok. Ponyboy knew now that what Darry did was probably the hardest thing heād ever done and would ever have to do. And his big brother had done it with no hesitation. Heād worked himself to the bone to make damn sure Ponyboy had a chance at getting out.
Ponyboy knew that now. And so, as his brother answered his call at damn near three oāclock in the morning and couldnāt give him the advice Pony was seeking, Ponyboyās nerves calmed down. If Darry could raise two boys at his age, he could focus on his classes and studying so he could make his brother proud. Maybe even equally as proud as Darry made him.

one hilarious underrated dynamic is how steve is like kinda possessive of soda, like thats his friend, meanwhile soda doesn't give a fuck about steve's insecure ass and keeps inviting ponyboy along to things.

Some witches once told me The throne was gonna hold me. Iām not the sharpest tool in the shed. They were looking kind of weird They were women but with beards And they said thereād be a crown upon my head.
See a dagger coming and it wonāt stop coming Home to my wife and we murder King Duncan Didnāt make sense not to live for the crown Your cred goes up but your mind goes down.
So much to plot, so much to scheme So whatās wrong with taking the kingās seat? Youāll never know if you donāt go Youāll never shine till you kill Banquo.
Hey now, youāre a Scot star, get your kilt on, go slay Hey now, Thane of Cawdor, get the show on, this play And all the witches agree None of women born can harm thee.
