🍑FRUITBAT🦇 CG

A/N: //I've had this thing rotting in my ibis wips since NOVEMBER 2024. I think. I needed to get it done bc I finally had the motivation and time. It feels kinda weird to draw serious Momo. I have so much silly/Meme material of Momo its sometimes difficult to remember that she's her own complex character with trauma and quirks and not just a silly Lil guy. I based this one off of one of my fave Ryuki CGS from cupid parasite :3 it gave me such FruitBat vibes.

The moment the flame burns me, finally, I can breathe
In the wave of pain, I'm turning into ashes
Live again like oh, oh, oh
The more it hurts, the more alive I am
A new born in ashes, nothing lasts forever, baby
I'm about to bloom again, pour oil all over my body
Light thе flame like oh, oh, oh, I don't wanna stop

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY FROM SUMIU

Art by me! @seaoflove07 @subaruwu @apostleanddeath saw it first♡
A/N: wrote this all myself while on my phone! Not exactly proofread, and might be slightly out of character, but I wanted to add a small drabble/one-shot with my babies to fit the scene anyways!
————————
"....Y-You're staring, Subaru-kun... Are you still... um... unsatisfied?"
Of course, Miu means the several bites he's given her already, the seemingly insatiable hunger that comes with being the vampire he is. But with her timidness, the shy flush of her cheeks, it comes out sounding much more loaded than the simple ask of whether he's still thirsty or not.
It makes Subaru huff in a laugh, a small smirk etching its way onto his unnaturally handsome features that Miu couldn't help but stare at herself.
"Am I not allowed to... admire what's mine?" The words lacked their typical harshness, his tone having softened over the years of knowing the young woman seated on his lap, what felt like a lifetime of learning how to be loved by a creature as small and lovely as Miu and try to reciprocate that precious love to the best of his ability in return. "Idiot..."
His woman was truly a sight to behold, the plush of the curves and added happy weight he loved so much, the scars and stretch marks that she herself hated but he held so dear to his unbeating heart, the smudged mix of her lip tint and the blood from her bitten lips on her chin— and most of all that innocent puppy-like look she had on her freckled face, the one that made the vampire think things that were far from innocent.
Not that innocence exactly mattered here in this intimate moment, the warm glow of Miu's bedside lamp in an otherwise dark bedroom illuminating their bodies perfectly, Miu perched on his lap in nothing but her pretty blue undergarments, one hand on the back of his neck, the other gripping onto the collar of his unbuttoned dress shirt and shoulder for balance...
Heh. As if he would let her fall.
The way she squirmed in his lap made his fingers squeeze her bottom with a posessive firmness, the warmth of her mortal body, flushed and embarrassed, felt so soothing against the coolness of his own, the contrast as stark as night and day but not unwelcome in the least. Her warmth was truly one of his favorite things about her, and being able to see every inch of her freckled, scarred skin up close like this made it even better.
"I... I'm... your idiot," the girl mumbles, wanting nothing more than to avert her gaze, but unable to tear her eyes away from his heated scarlet glare. She was right. Having grown used to his insult that no longer really held any weight, she was his entirely. Completely and utterly his. There wasn't any room for any other man in her heart the same way he filled the space.
Her words made his smirk widen, an amused hum leaving his throat. "Damn right."
Pushing aside some of her ombre locks, Subaru leans up to steal a kiss, one that Miu is more than happy to reciprocate, finding it hard to keep talking in her flustered state. Even after all this time, he didn't even have to do anything special to render her a total nervous mess, complete putty in his hands. The breeze that wafted from the open window did nothing to cool the feverish warmth creeping up her neck.
Maybe that was the power of love? She couldn't be sure, even now. All she knew was that there would be absolutely nowhere else Miu would rather be than in his cool embrace, just her and her man alone.
Miu pulls away from his kiss just by a few centimeters, half-lidded blue eyes peering into his narrowed ruby ones, a question clouding them, urging her to speak.
"Happy Valentine's day... Subaru."

SACRIFICIAL BRIDES HEADCANONS

For Shu brides mean two things: blood and sex. The blood of the girls sent by the church is always of good quality, so Shu only cares about choosing the most attractive girls, a nice pair of thighs and a nice ass will be enough to entertain him.
Shu has killed many of his brides during the full moon, others have been killed by Reiji, (and Shu really couldn't care less).
All the brides who are chosen by Reiji are going to spend the last days of their lives serving as lab rats.
Reiji's brides who made the fatal mistake of talking to Shu ended up dying in the torture chamber. To date only Yui has been able to survive Reiji's brutal punishments.
Reiji used several girls as guinea pigs to test the effects of his poisons; many girls died writhing in pain on the floor while Reiji just indifferently watched their agony.
Ayato is a hunter by nature, so taking sacrificial brides from the church is nowhere near as much fun as going out to find his own prey.
Still, Ayato is quite possessive of brides, especially those who meet his standards: nice tits and sweet blood.
Ayato killed several brides the same day they arrived at the mansion, (this guy has always had trouble restraining himself when he drinks blood).
The brides who suffered the misfortune of being chosen by Kanato also died quickly, usually lasting less than a week.
Kanato offered the souls of several brides as sacrifices in dark magic rituals, then turned the corpses into beautiful “dolls” for his collection.
Laito always chooses the most innocent brides, for him there is nothing more pleasurable and fun than depraving and corrupting the mind and heart of a pure girl.
There are many ways to torture someone, but Laito always prefers to play with the minds of his brides.
Laito has never killed any of his brides because they all end up committing suicide.
Almost all of Subaru's brides die accidentally, (Subaru really has a hard time containing his monstrous strength).
Some brides end up with broken necks or broken backs, others die from a blow to the head when Subaru pushes them too hard.
Subaru is the only one of his brothers who feels remorse after killing a bride.
BONUS:
The corpses of the sacrificial brides are buried deep in the forest in unmarked graves.
The spirits of some brides have tried to help Yui by manifesting in her dreams.
Not only does the church send brides to the Sakamaki mansion, many girls are sent to the Demon World to be sold as slaves and blood bags for demons of all races.

Eagerly taking a seat across from him, Saki crosses her legs and offers him a smile back. "I would be most pleased to listen. Please, tell me everything."
She was always quite the learner, quick to crave more knowledge if there ever were. She knew she had come with limited information of this planet and it's history. The one major thing the Library of Draque lacked was books about other planets and their differences. The dragons back home took much pride in their own history and heritage. They didn't seem to want to learn more about other places than home. That was always quite disappointing to Saki.
Browsing the grand shelves lined with books upon more books, dragging her claw against the spines until she finds one that would hopefully cure her current boredom, Saki explores the library to her hearts content. If this were anything as close to her home back on her planet, she would have nothing new to learn from or find leisure in. It brought her some joy that she knew little to none of the titles in this stock.
Finally, she stops at one tome that had finally caught her interest. It was elegantly detailed on the spine and corners, black and red, with the title engraved in gold. From what she could immediately translate, this book seemed to be one of folktales from Earth that were popular during each era.
"I'm not one for fairytales, but this one looks way too intricate to be just another nursery rhyme," she says to herself, plucking the book off the shelf and opening up to the contents.

“Tales of a Dark Light”.
It was an interesting name for a folktales book. In the introduction you could find that this is a book written by a monk based on confession he was told. The first tale on this book was:
— "The long eared princ...?"

In a happy town, lived as leaders a couples of elves. They came from another land, blessed the fields and brought fertility and wealth. After years, the couple decided to have a baby, but the Gods gave them twins, a boy and a girl, identical like two drops of water. The girl was the first one, therefore she was destined to be the next leader, she was a princess.
Her parents loved her, she was a gift. She liked to dance, sing, share with the people, study, she was perfect. The good girl of daddy and the pride of mommy.
Her brother? Well, he was shy, didn't like to go out his books or his room. His parents didn't even try to know him
Sadly, one day the princess disappeared, they say she was swallowed by the night's darkness and the hypnotic light of the Moon. The parents, devastated for their loss decided to make themselves a new daughter. They teared apart the young boy and put him back together. Such evil wasn't thought in parents behavior and even so, they were worse. Through horrible ways they made him their princess, they taught him how to obey, how to act, how to be the perfect princess and for his misbehaving they'd punish him taking away his man-self. He was now a doll, one that they could dress and undress on pleasure. He would look at his face horrified desiring only death, an end to his suffering existence.
One night, the young long eared boy, escaped his home, he ran as fast as he could. No legend or myth could stop him from looking for something else, any kind of freedom for his soul. He found a great village. The elf passed running through it, escaping from the dark diabolic creatures of the night, he wanted to run until his feet didn't answer him but in his path he found a terrifying castle. Inside it, he found peace, at last, his heart was bitting with the strength of a bull. Nevertheless, a huge and dark figure showed between the shadows, the boy didn't even have to focus his ears to feel the danger, he could see it. Although the room was dark, it didn't stop the fear to enter his body. Those white lights like candles would make his body tremble. He felt it was his end, and fate came when the long fangs of that beast met with the skin of his neck, making him feel as if life was running out with his breath--.
Saki's reading was interrupted by a comment. That rumbling voice was unmistakable.
"It is a good book, from a long time ago though" said the king while searching for something among the shelves.

"So I am assuming you have abilities in Blood Mastery. Therefore, you are the Vampire God?"
Her eyes almost light up with her new desire for more information and details.
"Does a Vampire's first bite really have that much importance? And what exactly makes the human a virgin per se? In the sense that they haven't had sex yet? Or maybe they haven't been touched or bitten by any other species? Oh, and how—" She realizes her rambling and clears her throat once more before closing the book in her hand and bowing her head a bit. "I apologize, I didn't realize how fast I was speaking or that I had so many questions."

She tenses up a bit at the close proximity, clearing her throat and turning her head to face him, taking a step back. "To train, you say? Do you have some sort of blood magic? What kind of training do you do?"
Saki was genuinely curious now. If this man had such powerful magic as she did back at home, then they may be a bit of a better match then she had thought.

"Interesting," she says flatly, finishing the excerpt she had been reading quickly before bringing her eyes back to the man beside her. She watches the fresh vampire walk off with the book she now was curious about.
"I guess it would take a lot of effort to maintain a library this grand. What kind of book was that one? It seemed to have a pretty cover."

Surprisingly, I find a few pieces of this story to be quite relatable...
Saki immediately pulls her attention away from the book at the sound of his voice, her eyes meeting his face.
"It does seem quite old. However, it seems to have been kept in pristine condition. Do you personally take care of these, or do you have an underling care for the shelves?"
Honestly, it was quite admirable to see such stocked shelves in such great condition on another planet. There was no one back on Draque who cared for the preservation of literature as she did besides Khuro, another familiar.
