Yui is the BEST MC Diabolik Lovers could have had.

"Yui is annoying and never fights back"

She is tiny, stuck in a mansion (where the hell do you want her to run to), against vampires who are faster, stronger, and can teleport. Game over for her. It’s not like she never fought back, she kicked and slapped Laito, slapped Kou and Ruki, pushed Subaru almost making him fall down, stomps on Shu, talks back to Reiji… she isn’t doing « nothing ».

She also is smart enough to realize that if she fights back constantly, they will hurt her ten times more.

Then, let’s remember that Yui grew up without a mother figure and her dad was severe and distant. She said herself that they rarely spent time together and she had to eat most meals alone. Then, she also added she never had that many friends. Hence, we can imagine it has always been very complicated for her to bond with people and understand them as a whole, and finding herself in a mansion full of people with their attention centered on her can be overwhelming. Then, her decision is to drown in her shyness and keep her thoughts and feelings to herself. Hence, fighting for herself and keeping her ground is something she never learnt.

Also, Yui is a christian. She firmly believes that violence of any kind is inherently wrong and refuses to partake in any.

Then, I understood why many people were hating on Yui. I found out that many criticized her for liking the girly, pink, cute, fairy like aesthetic, bunnies, and for not being a goth thigh high assassin. That’s extremely pick me. Like, a female character has to be strong and tomboyish and not like anything "girl related" in order to be accepted as a female character? Yui survived (if we take the good endings) because she stayed true to herself, to her convictions, her beliefs, and didn’t change her personality to appear more likable or less "girly" in front of the boys in her household.

She survived because she didn’t act like Y/N in the DL fanfictions on Wattpad because let’s be real, if Yui had acted out, fought or talked back, she wouldn’t have survived one night.

Heading toward the bookshop, Yuriko let her gaze travel around the wide bottom floor of the building. Decorations shined, and happy tunes filled her ears, but it wasn't only that. It felt like there was a distinct aroma of the season wafting from the cafés around her. Oh, how she wanted to taste some seasonal delicacies... but right now, she was on a mission. Cozy and relaxed moments must wait...

Sighing, Yuriko hoped that her friend would appear soon.

HIS VERY OWN

Some time had passed since Eve chose her Adam. Komori Yui and Sakamaki Shu were now trying to have a serious relationship. Thus the task of the Mukami family was fulfilled and there was no longer a reason for Mukami Ruki to tempt Eve. However, by order of Sakamaki Karlheinz, the Mukamis were to remain in Kaminashi City and continue to attend school. Ruki was not happy with this and suffered from boredom.

At the beginning of April, Tsukino Yuriko moved from Kyoto to Kaminashi City. On her first day of school, she went to the school library before classes, looking for interesting books. Lost in thoughts, she suddenly stumbled into someone. That someone was none other than Mukami Ruki.

Of course, Yuriko immediately excused. But Ruki reacted rudely and arrogantly, calling her a clumsy livestock. Intimidated and annoyed, Yuriko cursed in her mind, but was unable to speak her thoughts aloud. Instead, she tried to make Ruki friendly again with another apology. Unfortunately her attempt failed.

Ruki's sadistic side broke through and he was amused by the scared woman. Due to her reaction the vampire decided to play a game and chose Yuriko as his new prey. Pushing her against a bookshelf, Ruki messed with her. The sadist enjoyed how the fear inside her grew.

Fortunately for Yuriko, the school bell ended the mental torture. As if nothing had happened, Ruki turned around and disappeared. Stunned by the incident in the library and with trembling legs, Yuriko dragged herself to the classroom. Once there, she had to find out that Ruki was one of her new classmates.

Yuriko's admin (@yuriko-mukami) and I (@ruki-mukami-dl) have been writing Yuriko's and Ruki's story since January 2022. Due to the roleplay writing style and the enormous length/word count, we decided to keep the original writing private. However, we wanted to give you an insight into Rukiko's world and will now gradually post summaries of His Very Own. We are still continuing the story and hope that we can do this for a long time. The head of the household called, not even sparing her a glance as his eyes were still trained on today's newspaper.

"Yes Reiji?"

She responded softly, obviously fatugied. He clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"That's sir Sakamaki to you."He hissed, quickly sighing after. Calmly returning to his newspaper.

"No matter, I have another task for you."He says, gently tapping the end of his paper on the table then neatly folding it and positioning it exactly, on the vorner of his coffee table.

"The demon's fair is happening tonight and due to some horrid and troublesome law my father had to pass, I have to dismiss our maids and butlers early."

He says rubbing his temples in clear annoyance.

"Luckily they don't get out until dinner is served this however, leaves the issue of clean up. After dinner I trust that you will have finished cleaning all the pots, pans, plates, and cutlery before bed."He states, taking a sip of his tea to better quell his annoyance at the situation. His eyes close and his nose takes in the smell of freshly brewed tea.

A calm takes over him before it was rudely interrupted by a mocking grumble."What was that? You seemed to have something to tell me as of this moment."

He says as his eyes shoot open, brows furrowed and hands interlocked with each other as he rested his head on them.

Perhaps to stop himself from slapping her for her insolence, a restraint he later found useless.

"My name is Victoria."

She said, anger seething out her teeth."

You seem to have forgotten that, and you may have also forgotten that not only have I cleaned the manor, top to bottom, I have also iron all of you and your brothers' clothes, all while I have yet to be given blood and was continually attacked with your rothers various advances. After all that you'd think a little rest is vhelmly under compensation!"

She screamed, Reiji took a deeep breath and stood from his chair. He slowly walked towards her. Standing a small distance away before taking a fist to the collar of her neck and a hand to her bandaged chest.

Victoria yelps in suprise and pain. Reiji grabs her by the chin and forces her to meet his gaze, his eyes glistening with red and anger.

"Perhaps **you** forget."He starts."You only reside here due to my mercy. Should I ever find any fault in your work I would have no qualms parting with a random vampire who suddenly appeared bleeding at the chest from another dimension."

He growls applying more pressure to her chest and causing her more and more pain. Her eyes filled with tears and her mouth filled with whimpers. Then he suddenly lets go. Causing her to fall harshly on yhe ground.

"Now, can I count on you to cleanup before dinner?"

He asks, fixing his cuffs and ridding his attire of any dust. Victoria stays on the ground groaning in pain. Her wound re-opened and the blood spilling all over ghe floor.

"Yes Sir Sakamaki."

She manages to whisper out, Reiji lets out a satisfied hum and turns to the door to leave.

"I shall be off to see that dinner preparations are in order. Who knows if one of those idiotic triplets got in and threatened the staff to change tonight's course."

He says stopping at the door.

"You shall recieve dinner, **after** you finish **all** your tasks for tonight."

And with that Reiji leaves the room witb Victoria bleeding on the floor.

"Impossible. That imbecile can gain their affection, but not me? I have always worked arduously for the sake of my benefactor, I achieve more than satisfactory grades despite school only being a pretense, and I'm far more well-mannered and civilized than that brainless Sakamaki. Yet, even so... The person whom I hold so dearly still prefers Ayato over me, after all I've done. Tch, I don't believe this."

Stifling his rage, the impure Vampire balled his hand into a fist as he stormed off, intending to meet with the subject of his infatuation later that school day at the night academy known as Ryotei. As per usual, Ruki feigned a visage of perfect neutrality when the two met.

"Greetings—Are you heading home? Well, the morning has just begun, and it's the most opportune moment for a stroll after class. There's somewhere I'd like to visit with you, and I promise it won't take any longer than necessary, rest assured. Oh...?" His frown deepened, obscuring a set of fangs ready to cleave out of spite. "I see. You planned on speaking with Sakamaki Ayato, is that right?"

A multitude of lies to tell so effortlessly as he always did to obtain what he desired most came to the forefront of Ruki's mind, ruminating on the most subtle yet believable fabrication.

"Ah, about that. I believe I heard him called to the faculty office to discuss his behavior earlier. You know how he has a proclivity to either pay no attention to the lecture of doze off in the middle of it," he chuckled almost sinisterly. "By the time we finish our excursion, I'm certain his scolding will be over. Let's not dawdle any further."

Before giving the other much of a chance to respond, Ruki hurriedly took their hand and together they departed the academy, traipsing past the natural flora surrounding a nearby park as the horizon stretched various shades of pale pink ranging to soft lilac. The signal of a new dawn, and even more important, a disclosed revelation.

"It certainly is beautiful. Stepping foot outdoors, inhaling the fresh air surrounding us. All of which are far too easy to take granted, like the people who care most about you. Wouldn't you agree?"

Those ominous words left his lips without a second thought as he reflected on what he discovered earlier, his fist still firm and resolute. Encroaching dangerously close, Ruki leaned forth and gazed directly into his infatuation's resplendent hues that mirrored the sunrise.

"—Enough of the charades. I know you intended to confess your true feelings to Ayato. So, tell me. Tell me what you see in him exactly. Tell me what he has that I don't, because I can assure you I would care for you much more than any other pathetic excuse for a man ever could."

All the pent up fury from other soon erupted in a slow explosion of possessive inferno swirling in his turbulent ceruleans, evinced by the snatch of a wrist and the lift of their chin to enforce eye contact. An intimidating glare strong enough to petrify anyone in place shook the other's whole being as Ruki urgently lodged his blades of desire through his newly deemed prey's throat, gushing a much-needed stream of red down onto their uniform.

"Finally, it's just the two of us, and better yet... I no longer have to hold myself back around you. Perhaps I should thank that imbecile for speeding up the process of monopolizing you all for myself. Don't even try to resist me either, Livestock. From now on, you are mine."
