important question
are cur paws prehensile. can they open doors. if not does that mean someone has to let rukey in and out of the wagon

so we have 4 humanoid races (nomad, demon, savage, harp) and 4 non-humanoid races (curs, wyrms, saps, bog crones) so it's an even mix between human/not human which is nice but i really want like more things that are just fucked up. wyrms are cutesy which is not a bad thing, i think that's fitting for the personalities we see, but imagine if they were huge and scaly with big fangs and stuff.
imagine a horrifying area creature swimming up to you and you're like oh fuck we're gonna die and then he's just like hi there i love honor do you love honor :) and then you're best friends

something even funnier about the whole "tariq says hedwyn is dead" scene is that everyone just immediately accepted that you can die from being seasick

speaking of, one thing that really struck me, is that pyre is sgg's first game where it's just... funny. like there's a few jokes in bastion and transistor, but they're pretty serious games otherwise, especially bastion. but pyre is just brimming with humor--hedwyn being dead from sea sickness, rukey's mustache, a lot of the flavor text for the areas you visit--it's just silly. the game is still serious; you're starting a revolution to overthrow a fascist government while deciding, essentially, who lives freely in the new government and who dies in the downside, and people suffer for it. like hedwyn just starts unraveling the longer he stays in the downside, but if he's upside he's gripped by an immense guilt for it.
but this is cut by all the humor and fun in pyre. there's such a joy in it that the previous games don't have, and that's really a big part of what makes pyre such a lovely experience of a game. without it, the game would immensely, immensely depressing and not a lot of fun to play, but with it, it really makes pyre something special
