i think it’s interesting that so many people jump to steve shaving off his hair as a sign of growth, when i think what we’ve actually seen in canon is much more steve letting his hair grow out, and get messier as he’s evolved and grown out of what people expect him to be.

sure, it still fits within popular styles, but it is different to the way steve in s1 styled his hair, and i think steve having the freedom to grow out his hair and highlight it, etc, says more than steve just shaving it all off. the way his hair has changed through the seasons aligns with the ways steve’s developed, and tried to find himself outside of high school. and shaving it all off, usually in the midst of a mental health spiral, feels more like a step back, and, to me, comes across as this self-hatred punishment, as opposed to healthy growth.

I think it's so funny fandom acts like that the townspeople were stupid for assuming it was Eddie who killed Chrissy like... Okay yeah we as the audience know he didn't do it, and the Duffers were attempting to do a satanic panic plotline (badly), but... Come on guys. Her broken and disfigured body was found IN HIS TRAILER. Like if this was supposed to be a true satanic panic storyline there should have been more cause for doubt. Instead we get a body in the trailer where Eddie was the last person seen with her, a second body by the trailer park, and then the third person Jason watches die while they are pursuing Eddie. Like even if Eddie was the most normie guy alive he still would've been the number one suspect on this case 😭 Maybe Jason wouldn't have automatically assumed it was Satanism, but he still would've likely assumed he was a crazy killer lmao.
