Now I haven't posted in a hot second kekw.
While waiting for the new expac I'm experimenting with builds for mnk.
Since I love full sps blm I thought of trying a full sks mnk and was actually quite surprised at how well it works. I also saw, after experimenting a bit with the sks tiers, that there was an actual meta build with a lot of sks in the first or second raid tier in ShB. It's fun af, ngl.
Now, there are a few things that do annoy me with it, like having to delay the burst phase with PB and the other buffs, but that's nothing major.
It's quite fun, and if anyone is willing to try it out, I highly recommend it!
The biggest downside is that Twin snake, when refreshing the buff, is unbuffed, since with this high of an sks tier going for a double True Strike is way better. So the overall dps is lower than the 1.96 recast one, especially because of lower crit and dhit, but eh, who cares for min-maxing if you can have fun, am I right? Especially if you can channel your inner weeb and just become Star Platinum LMAO.

Friends: I don't wanna play XIV. All there's left to do is grind Zadnor, and that's too repetitive! Also friends: Play League of Legends for hours on end.

Yesterday's patch is fun LMAO.
Faster relics, raiding more than once a week is now a thing, more tomestones.
Yayy. I can now attempt to finally get BiS with SAM because my luck on rolls is in the negatives. T-T

So I’ve come back to FF two-ish days ago and saw that new set on mog station. And immediately knew what to do with it, ngl. Since I’m currently rewatching Bleach I instantly thought of using this set as a captain style glamour. Sadly, the shihakusho isn’t black, but the haori is hella fitting of it. Paired with the feet from the same set, the hakama from the Fuga set, the Tengu Tekko and ofc the Eastern Lord hat it actually looks very bleach captain like. The weapon is, as some may identify, the currents expansions relic on the second to last step. It fits the whole aesthetic, imo, when dyed pure white, since only the ornaments, handle and tsuba are dyed. I’m also currently trying to get a Urahara Kisuke glamour to work, but do need the haori from the Doman Restauration(?), which definitely will take a couple of weeks to get. But it’s definitely gonna be worth it. :p

Came back to FF yesterday, e11s reclear while tired as feck truly was an experience I didn't need nor want. I'm really confused as to how we actually one shot it, everyone was memeing more than actually trying.
Also, the very first thing I did when coming back is, ofc, a new glamour for my SAM.
Tried to go for a Urahara Kisuke kind of glam, but didn't have the Doman Restauration hora And kimono, sadly. The new mog station set is close enough, though.
Sadly there's no content that would interest me beside raiding atm, so I dunno if I'll actually be logging in outside of raid times. I think I should get into the social scene of my server.

Community wise FF has been the most welcoming one so far, ngl. I've played quite some MMOs in my life by now and none of them were as lovely as FFs. I've met so many awesome and lovely people in the game whom I now see as part of my best friends circle thing (English is hard, shush).
But nevertheless there is some stuff I need to address with the community. Many are a bit too overprotective of the game, or squenix in general. Voicing criticism about the game can cause massive backlash with some people and this is causing me to hold in valid points about the game I'd like to talk about.
But some degree of toxicity, be it elitists or the overprotective people, is to be expected of any game, and compared to some others it's a rather small percentage.
Most of the people just love the game, be it the social aspect of it as rp or just chatting with peeps, hunting, raiding and gathering/crafting. And many people will help you with whatever you need help when you're starting out with the game.
Conclusion: FFs community is a lovely bunch and most of the people I met are amazing.

So for almost a week now I've been taking a break off of FF, to not get burnt out by the game I always take a week every two months or so. (Which is why I haven't been posting that often recently (he said with little to no posts beforehand)). And, ngl, I advise every hard-core player of the game, or of any game in fact, to take breaks. A few days, a few weeks, whatever you fancy. But it helps you keeping the game somewhat fresh, especially when no content releases are planned.
As I've stated I am on such a break rn, and I'm contemplating making it a tad longer. I've right now revisited a few other games I've played religiously back then, like Warframe and Overwatch. Though, the latest point I'll be back to FF will be Thursday. Can't keep the static waiting too much.
To conclude this post with uncohesive ramblings: breaks from games important, do something else, don't burn yourself out.

Today is e12s prog, doorboss to be exact, and I'm excited to finally get to prog the fight. I started raiding literally this raid tier and I'm progging the last fight of it and it feels awesome.
Since starting out on raiding I've been through quite a few classes until I found the one I'm really good at. I've started out on SMN and BLM, and I was decent, I'd say, though only on SMN and not BLM. And I've cleared e9s on BLM.
But at some point we needed melee dps in the static and I decided to fill that spot. I've started to practice DRG and played it in the e10s progs quite often. It's an amazingly fun class imo, and I'm planning on picking it up a bit more often after I get its relic.
At some point, after progging e10s for almost one and a half month, I decided to change up my melee game and tried the other melees too. I cleared e10s on NIN and started maining MNK and SAM, doing quite good on both of the classes.
At some points I also healed both e9s and e10s as SCH, and it was amazingly fun.
Long story short. I've tried a lot of classes in the span of about 3 months, even changed roles multiple times, and I loved every single experience I had playing each and every class. The massive damage you do as BLM and SAM, the utility you have as SMN and how busy you are as SMN, NIN and MNK and lastly how absolutely powerful it feels to be the party's healer.
Now, though, I'm basically a SAM onetrick since it's my most efficient job and I joined a more serious static where faster progress actually matters.
I hope that more people get into the harder side of raiding someday, because the fights aren't impossible to clear for casual players. I am one, and I'm progging e12s. Ofc not forcing anyone, don't misunderstand me, but it would be awesome to see this side of the game grow, too.
Sorry for the quite random ramblings here, but I kinda wanted to talk about that.

Had to take a billion screenshots to get the damn effect of the blade to show up semi decently on the screenshot, but hell yeah I did it, I guess. That’s the SAM glam I talked about in the last post concerning glamours, and I absolutely love it. It fits the Byakko blade perfectly and looks hella good on MNK, too. The gloves are from PVP, though, which is, in my opinion at least, a pain to farm. The top is, I believe, dyed snow white, while the gloves are some shade of grey (the bandages on the gloves aren’t dyable, as far as I remember, so you’re always stuck with those white stripes, which made choosing a colour for the glamour way easier, ngl).
Don’t miss out on nice glams by not looking into low level gear! There’s a lot of cheap, underrated stuff down there.

I'm really looking forward to Endwalker.
Not just because of the normal hype that comes along with a new expansion dropping, but especially because I'll be getting back into healing with Sage.
Them being a shield healer like SCH is absolutely fantastic. I love being able to prevent damage as a healer, at least I'd rather give the tank a massive shield making him take no damage than slapping a bandaid on them and calling it a day.
Also, depending on how massive their shield is, it'll be quite interesting to experiment with skipping mechanics in savage/extreme fights, like in e10s with jumping dogs using SCH, neutral sect AST and a boosted Shake It Off from a WAR.
Really hyped for that!

A friend of mine is currently getting into SMN, my fav class by far, and he's having fun with it before reaching lv70.
How can you have fun with SMN before being able to summon a big ass dragon boi that Akh Morns people and juggles his wings when you use any spell.
Beside that I'm hella proud of him. He wasn't very fond of casters before trying out RDM and now SMN.
