I remember watching the spanish dub of the Jawbreaker movie when I was waaay too young to be watching it. Anyway. I rewatched it yesterday, and checked the wiki to see if it was based off a novel, because it gave me similar vibes to Carrie. And even though I always thought of it as an iconic, cult-classic type of movie, apparently??? When it first came out it bombed in theaters because people just kept calling it a bad ripoff of the movie Heathers. I've never watched Heathers, but it did remind me a lot of Mean Girls, and, yeah. Turns out Jawbreaker was one of the inspirations for that movie.

FUNNY. How when a movie bombs in theaters people will call it a "bad ripoff" but when it succeeds, they call it "inspiration."

I know this sounds very "I'm 12 and this is deep" but it just makes me so angry sometimes the way people can be so entitled about film & art.

It's also an interpretation I like for his character because it could symbolize how he's chasing after his own downfall. He's constantly trying to get stronger, trying to defeat Atsushi for Dazai's approval despite the toll it takes on his body. He knows he doesn't have long left and even after getting into a coma, he doesn't stop fighting no matter how much it harms his body.

And I just like to draw him with a cigarette cause it looks cool on him.

Do you think after Dazai first took Akutagawa in he was like how he was in beast? Although much smaller given his age and the panels from chapter 122

Can you imagine this little cutie but even tinier dressed like a victorian child behaving how he did in beast. Do you think he tried to hide from Dazai by hiding under a table? Complained about the paperwork within the mafia? Had to learn to fix his writing? Thought he was the boss? Talked about eating bugs and paper? And just let himself be tossed around like a ragdoll?

He definitely had that rage and lashed out as he did in beast but it's sad nobody was there to quell it instead Dazai tried to correct his violence with more violence when really all he needed was stern but soft disabling and a stable environment

I was just petting my cat and she dug her claws into my knee (she is currently sitting on my lap whilst I read homoerotic fanfiction) and I tried to move her paws and said "Spike, I'm not going to hurt you" then the bitch just side-eyed me like she didn't believe me... she has sat on my lap every fucking time I sit down and I only give her a few pets now and then. She also dug her claws into my arm when I was petting her and when I tried to remove my arm she dug her claws in deeper, when I put my arm back she kicked it... WHAT DOES SHE WANT!?!? Then I flipped her off and she rubbed her face against my mibble finger... she is on crack lol
