A fuchsia that is neither tall, nor short, thin nor wide, looking of mischief nor helpfulness. She held a palmhusk in her hand, idly distracting herself with its applications, pausing to take a few silly pictures. She giggled and started to look around closer.

‘Ooo’s and ‘Aah’s escaped her lips as she picked up the debris, letting it clatter to the ground and moving onto the next when it no longer entertained her. Farina giggles again and trips over a board, scraping her knee slightly. She winces at the clattering noise and picks up her knee, hugging it to her chest.

The long slit in her skirt, colored and held together with embroidered fabric to resemble her star-like symbol allowed only that one leg extreme freedom of movement. Underneath were bike shorts, for modesty.

You stumble your way down a pile of rubble to the central area of the abandoned hive you’d been exploring. It had already been pillaged, of course. It was rare to see a hive like this that hadn’t already been stripped of its valuables. But you weren’t here for valuables, not the standard kind at any rate.

You push a large piece of rubble out of your way with a grunt, stirring up some dust and allowing you to examine a pile of books someone had discarded on the floor. Most of them were new, if dirty, and looked like they’d barely been opened. It does not seem like the troll this hive used to belong to was much of a reader. 

You jolt a bit as you hear some debris being scattered behind you. You turn to see who else has entered the ruins. Hopefully a fight isn’t on the horizon.

I think the problem a lot of people have with blackrom is that the image of it that they’re getting is of two people going out of their way to tear eachother down. While instances of that are still considered blackrom, (and are the only examples given in Homestuck proper) they aren’t considered healthy in the canon. Karkat, devout worshipper of quadrants, points out that Terezi’s and Gamzee’s relationship is destroying her. He later mentions that a proper kismesissitude is supposed to encourage you to better yourself. 

A healthy blackrom is primarily about one-ups-manship
