With the Finally Finish Something Jam 2019 coming to a close, I'm proud to say that Worker #11812 is officially released for web and desktop platforms! This game simulates the grueling 10-hour shifts experienced by the lowly workers from the 1927 film Metropolis.

I've reduced the running time of my implementation of the Wave Function Collapse algorithm to practical levels. Here are some interesting terrains I've generated with it.

It's been a long time, but an update for Arborescence has been released. This update is mainly for stability, fixing crashes that occur on macOS and Linux. https://quadolorgames.itch.io/arborescence

I made this tool to help me write scripts faster, but I'm also sharing it in hopes that others might benefit from it.
GML Script Wizard is a tool that automatically generates nicely-formatted script headers after you provide the details of your script, e.g. script and argument names, and a description. You can then copy this header to the script editor in GameMaker Studio 2 and use it as a starting point for your script.
Try it out here: https://mstop4.github.io/gml-script-wizard/

I've been working on a new game idea based on the destructible terrain demo that I've been working on.
You control three characters; each one can only move within their own coloured subspace. Each character can shoot projectiles to expand their own subspace, which creates both more space for that character to move and "solid terrain" which can either be a nuisance for the other two characters or something they can take advantage of. The three characters must work together in order to complete level objectives.

I've been further working on my destructible terrain framework, combining it with other things I've been working on such as a new palette-swapping shader to replace my inefficient old one.
My latest version has three player characters that interact with the same terrain map in different ways. Each can only freely move through space of their own colour, while the other two colours are treated as solid ground. I just choose three as an arbitrary number of spaces, but theoretically you can have a lot more.

Working on a destructible terrain engine for GameMaker Studio 2 in the style of Lemmings/Worms/Liero. EDIT: The FPS Real counter is glitched in this video, it's missing the decimal point which inadvertently inflated the real fps 100x.

I created you with science, I can beat you with science! A side effect of generating levels the using binary trees is that solving them can be automated using a post-order tree traversal, if you know the original tree structure.

With Cirrus Studios, we participated in Games on Demand this weekend, a game jam inspired by ideas suggested from children undergoing hospital treatment. Here is our submission: Bunny Dash, a simple bunny-raising simulator: https://quadolorgames.itch.io/bunny-dash

Just rolled out another update for Arborescence. Many bug fixes and added a quick save/resume feature that allows you to quit the game mid-session and resume at a later time.

Update on Arborescence: putting in the features that didn't make it in the ProcJam build. Adding animation tweens and weather effects make the game look so much better.

The designs of Quell, spirit of the forest, the main character of my ProcJam game. Just like with the trees, her wardrobe changes with the seasons.
