TTP224 4-Channel Touch Sensor Module
The TTP224 is a 4-Channel Touch Sensor, meaning it has four touchpads. Whenever a capacitive load such as human hands is brought in proximity with the sense pad, the sensor then senses the change in capacitance and activates the switch. Custom sense-pads can be made from nearly any conductive material and these sensors can detect touch through thin layers of non-conductive materials such as glass, plastic, fabric or even wood. Each Touchpad has its respective output pin when the user touches a pad, the corresponding output pin will go high. It is very easy to interface with microcontrollers like Arduino to control different applications as a switch. It can be used in home automation, motor control, Relay control, etc. the module basically gets rid of the push button troubles.

Heartbeat/Pulse Sensor Module

Soil Moisture Sensor Module
The soil moisture sensor is commonly used in smart agriculture or other garden automation projects to measure the moisture content present in the soil. It consists of 4 pins in which two pins, Vcc and Gnd are connected to supply voltage. The remaining two pins are digital (D0) and analog (A0) are the output pins. When the moisture content present in the soil goes beyond the threshold level, the output of the digital pin (D0) will go low (the output of the digital pin is either logic 0 or 1). The threshold value of the sensor module can be set by varying the onboard potentiometer. The analog output pin can be used to calculate the approximate level of moisture content present in the soil.

TCS3200 Color Sensor Module

HC-SR04 Ultrasonic Sensor Module
The Ultrasonic Sensor uses Ultrasonic waves to determine the distance of an object like Bats, hence it can be used as a distance measuring sensor. There are two Ultrasonic Transducers present in which one acts as a Transmitter which transmits a high frequency Ultrasonic signal and other acts as a receiver which will wait for the receiving of echo signal which gets reflected by any object in its path. The time between the two signals when divider by speed of sound gives us the distance of the object. Theoretically the sensor claims to have a measuring distance of 2cm to 400cm. However, a range up to 75-80cm can be easily achieved practically. They are cheap, easy to interface and require low power to operate. They can be used to measure the depth of water as waves can travel in water, detect and avoid obstacles in the path of a robot and also as a parking assist sensor.

IR Line Follower / Proximity Sensor Module

HMC5883L Triple-axis Magnetometer Board
So most of the navigation devices come equipped with a magnetometer which can sense where the strongest magnetic field is coming from i.e. the magnetic north pole of earth and point towards it. The HMC5883 being a magnetometer sensor does the same thing, the sensor is also called GY271. This IC has 3 magneto-resistive materials inside which are arranged in the axes x, y and z. The amount of current flowing through these materials is sensitive to the earth’s magnetic field. So, changes in this current is measured and calculated to determine the directions. Care should be taken while using it as any strong magnetic material placed near it might force a false reading. This compass sensor module utilizes QMC5883L IC instead of HMC5883L because it is cheaper to manufacture and is most commonly available in the market. This is most commonly used as a Digital Compass Sensor or to detect any Ferrous (Magnetic) material.  Additional Uses include Robotic Navigation and UAV Systems.

MQ-4 Methane Gas Sensor Module
MQ4 Gas sensor is a Metal Oxide Semiconductor (MOS) type Gas Sensor mainly used to detect the Methane (CNG) gas concentration in the air either at home or in industry. This sensor contains a sensing element, mainly aluminum-oxide based ceramic, coated with Tin dioxide, enclosed in a stainless-steel mesh.
