Hey Guys | ooc post
It is with a heavy heart that I’m dropping Ishtar, she was really fun to rp as but I feared that I didn’t know as much as I did about her. She deserves someone who truly knows her character and can roleplay her properly.
Ishtar was really interesting and I’m glad that she was my first muse to rp as, I’ll still be continuing as Azura though! Thank you all so much. And maybe in the future I’ll pick her back up.
And here’s my personal if you just wanna get to know me.

Ishtar shook her head and stood back up. “I cannot leave you Lord Julius.” No matter how much he wanted to shoo her away, it wouldn’t work. “Lord Julius, I was so afraid of losing you. You’ve been the only person to actually give a damn about me.”
She turned to him, the rain falling onto her face, her hair and dampening her clothes at this point. Maybe the rain on her face would conceal her tears. “You have no idea how much you mean to me. But..” She looked down, then back up, her face blank of emotion, “If you don’t want me around you. That’s fine. I still obey your orders, Lord Julius.”
She swallowed the lump in her throat and it took her a few second to actually turn away from him. Julius was a magnet. He just pulled her in and it was hard to detach herself from him again.

Ishtar sat down and crossed her right leg over her left and crossed her arms over her chest. She wasn’t believing Laslow. If that even was his real name. “Laslow, you don’t have to lie. I can see it in your eyes. I’ve dealt with my handful of liars and interrogated them about it as well. You’re too young to have practiced your lying.”
Ishtar could pull this man apart with her words. But, he was young. He was naive. She had heard stories of some heroes who had shown up and gone under other names. She closed her eyes, there was another hero here. One who looked like Laslow... Could it be..
Ishtar opened her eyes, and spoke in a soft whisper, “..Your name, it’s Inigo isn’t it?”

Ishtar blinked and just looked at Setsuna, 26.. How did she look so young. She didn’t even look that young when she was 26. “I’m.. Sorry I didn’t realize. You look very young Setsuna. And no, that’s not me hitting on you.” Ishtar felt like she had to clarify now, just to make sure nothing would happen again.
Then it dawned on her, she pulled a small pouch from her pocket and rummaged through it, pulling out a few solid gold coins, “Here. I don’t know what kind of arrows you use, but hopefully this can buy you some more? I’m sorry again for the inconvenience.”
She bowed her head again, maybe she could ask for health tips. For the love of Thrud, Ishtar was in her 30′s and she looked somewhat decent. Some days were worse than ever and other days she looked like she was 18 all over again.

Ishtar grinned at the young dragon, and bent down to her level, nodding. “Of course. You know, Askr has some really great ice cream here. In fact, I could get you anything you want today. Granted, if it’s in my reach, okay?”
Ishtar really enjoyed having children. She knew she would always be a good mother. But, with the child hunts that took place from her world. She realized then that children were innocent defenseless beings. No matter if they were from the enemy’s side or not. She never could hurt children.
Not like how her mother would abuse her family. Ishtar pushed those thoughts back to the back of her mind again, now was not the time to think of those things. Kanna was the youngest member of this army, she may have been a great fighter. But she still deserved to be treated like a child.
Sometimes.. Children grow up to fast, under dire circumstances..
Ishtar could remember the army that consisted of children. The army that bested her, most of them consisted of mere children. She knew they were strong, but... She wanted to live a more peaceful life here. Kanna had all the optimism that she always wanted to see in kids. Not gloom and despair.
“You’re so bubbly and always full of energy Kanna.” Ishtar stood back up and held out her hand, “Here, you can take my hand and we can go get the ice cream okay?”

Ishtar watched the young dragon throwing her dragonstone in the air, catching it and throwing it again until it hit her in the head. Ishtar quickly approached the little girl and smiled, “I’m Ishtar, I was sent to watch over you for your papa.” Ishtar helped the little dragon gather her dragonstone.
Ishtar grinned at Kanna, “What would you like to do? Do you want ice cream? We could go get some if that would help. That hit to the head must have hurt.”
Ishtar gently placed her hand on the dragons head, ruffling her hair some.
“Really? My Papa did?” Kanna repeated, a curious expression written all over her features. Ever since the both of them had been summoned to Askr, it seemed that he was sent on countless missions while she remained behind. In a way it frustrated her, always being left behind while her father undertook the more difficult of tasks. She was a dragon after all. How hard could fighting possibly be? On the other hand, she was delighted at the idea of having a playmate, even for a short while. She often felt very lonely, being the youngest of the army without other children her age.
Before she could spout ideas for games and boast her age, the woman mentioned ice cream, which immediately became a priority over all of her other colliding thoughts.
“Ice cream? I like ice cream! Can we really? Like, really really?”

Ishtar scoffed, “Interesting? That’s hardly a way to describe it, things were chaotic where I came from.”
Then Ishtar noticed Setsuna mentioned flirting, “Fl-flirting? No.. Sorry dear, it’s just my way of speaking. You look so much younger than me so I thought it would be acceptable, if you don’t want me to call you such things, I won’t. I’m sorry if it upset you.”
Ishtar bowed her head to the young lady and smiled as she thought about who exactly this Lady Hinoka was, was she just as clueless sounding as Setsuna or was she the one who made Setsuna work her hardest? Setsuna had mentioned she was a retainer, so maybe her cluelessness was gone when Hinoka was around?
Ishtar chose to disregard the fact and smile, “How can I pay you back for helping me to the infirmary?”

Ishtar jolted some and turned to laugh, “Oh, my father would tease me. He’d say something like, Is this the new fiance?” and I would have to tell him no. But, father was always kind and wanted me to be happy.”
Ishtar huffed and patted Laslow’s shoulder, “My father is also probably rolling around in his grave though, or calling me a gold digger.” She pulled Laslow in and gently kissed his cheek, and whispered in his ear, “You hold yourself in is undoubtedly royalty. Perhaps there was someone close to you who was royal and it rubbed off on you?”

“I sincerely thank you,” he bowed solemnly, “but sometimes it’s nice to hear what I didn’t know yet,” there was a mischievous smile reigning on that face as he lifted his gaze.
“You think I can’t light a fire under that cold demeanor you have going on?” Ishtar crossed her arms over her chest. “If anything, I can be colder than you. How would you have felt if your sibling died and you held their dead body in your arms but you had to continue on in the war like nothing happened?”
Ishtar shook her head, “..You have charm Sir Innes, but you must learn not to stroke your own ego as much.”

Kiran had called Ishtar to come watch over some of the smaller heroes they had. It wasn’t like a daycare but some of the heroes needed special care compared to others. When Ishtar walked into an open area there was only one person. A little girl.
“She’s really cute..” Ishtar sat down on a chair and smiled at the little dragon, “You’re Kanna right?”
Ishtar had hoped that Kanna didn’t mind this extra attention. Especially since, apparently Kanna’s father was out helping Kiran.
Once she was sure the soles of her feet were firmly planted against the ground, Kanna steadied herself, drawing her arm back behind her. Then, with all her force she lurched her arm skyward, launching her dragonstone into the sky. With a wide grin, she gazed at the stone sailing in the sky, admiring the way the blue stone glimmered in the sunlight as it slowly began to descent. “Woah…” Completely distracted by her dragonstone, she hadn’t noticed Ishtar’s arrival until she had spoken. She turned her head, taking her attention away from the stone,
“Huh? That’s me!” She replied with a smile. She opened her mouth to speak once again when the dragonstone that had been plummeting struck her in the head, causing her to flinch and grasp her head momentarily in pain. “Ow!” She leaned down, scooping her dragonstone from the ground before approaching Ishtar.
“Who are you?” She asked, tilting both her head and body slightly.

Valentia? Hmm, a new place she hadn’t heard of there. “Valentia? That seems pretty far from here? You came out here for excitement? Perhaps I could show you something magical.” Ishtar’s eyes beamed with happiness, “Like out to a peaceful field or out into the city?”
Ishtar was happy because there was someone here who seemed just as happy with knowledge as her. “Please Luthier? I have to make up for being rude to you.”
Library Shenanigans | Luthier
excalibursage
Earlier, Luthier had caught wind of there being this magnificent library in the area. Like a sensible person, he went and searched for it. And here he was.
He loved libraries. It was relaxing and a quiet- a good place to sit and introspect. And maybe read a few good novels. With a stack of old tomes at his side, he hunkered down and started to read.
A voice interrupted his thoughts and reading. He looked up in irritation, glaring at the person who stopped him from enjoying his book in relative peace. He appraised her dishevled appearance before silently moving over, out of her seat. He took his stack of books with him as he relocated across the room.
Loud enough for the woman to hear, Luthier mutters to himself, “It’s really just a chair. There are plenty of others to sit in- why that particular one?”
Ishtar gave the red haired man a soft smile, “It’s nothing you’ve done I promise just…” She reached into the chair and pulled out a rather old and worm book. “This is where I left this, apologies for if I seemed rude to you sir.” She bowed her head. “If you’d like you may have the chair back that’s all I needed.”
She sauntered over to the adjacent chair to him and took a seat, opening her book she skimmed the worn pages and then looked to him, “I haven’t seen you around her often, been here before?”

Ishtar blinked, in that moment, it hit her. Was she taking her mother for granted? Did she take the abusive relationship they had as a form of rejection? Should she have taken it as love? No.. Her intentions were correct, just others had different views.
“I’m so sorry to hear that Laslow.. I bet she would have loved to see you now. Well not right now, you are in the presence of a woman and in her room nonetheless.” Ishtar winked to the man, maybe playful flirting would help ease his nerves.

Ishtar blinked as she got on the mount, Marzia was it? “..Oh.. I can’t say I was. I had an invitation letter to go to that castle. But.. I didn’t make it and was ambushed and now we’re here.” Ishtar looked around Camilla, to Marzia, such good wyvern..
“Thank you again Camilla. If you could, stay with me until I get into the castle?” Ishtar gently rested her hands on the womans hips to hold onto her for fear of falling off. She wanted to make sure she was safe. Without repairing her tome, she was defenseless. This woman was like a mother Ishtar never had. Kind and giving off such happy feelings. Protection and wanting her safe. Not wanting her dead in a ditch.
“...Thank you Camilla..”
Misguided | Camilla
queen-ishtar:
Ishtar gently took the ladies hand. Camilla? She seemed trustworthy. Her hand was soft, a mothers touch. She blinked and looked up to the woman. A faint blush to her cheeks. Now that she was closer the woman was a lot more beautiful. She calmed herself and tucked her tome into her holster.
“My name is Ishtar. And, I thank you for saving me. I owe you one. I never thought I’d be chased all the way out here. Some guys were… Harassing me. They fought me off into the forest and here we are. So again, thank you.” Ishtar looked to the undead wyvern and smiled, she was beautiful in her own way. She sensed the overprotective vibes from her as well.
Camilla clicked her tongue to tell Marzia to bend and boosted Ishtar into the saddle with a gentle shove. Mages always did seem light as a feather, but she was used to lifting far heavier things than that. Camilla swung up behind her and reached for the reign, clicking her tongue and digging in her heels.
Marzia croaked and spread her wings, launching into the air a few moments later. Camilla tilted her head to look over Ishtar’s shoulder, still wondering after the reason she’d been pursued.
“I’m taking you back to Askr castle now,” she confirmed, “Have you visited before?”

Ishtar smiled and stood next to the woman, “You don’t mind the pet names? I don’t wanna weird you out, honey..” Ishtar just wanted to be a kind mother like figure that people could go to in a time of need. She didn’t wanna be weird, she wanted.. To be better than her own mother was.
“Lady Hinoka? She sounds like a kind woman. Is she your lord?” Ishtar didn’t know how Setsuna’s world worked with that, “I heard some interesting stories from the others about your world, it certainly sounds interesting.”
