Hey, long time, no see.

Yes, this is the final update. Yes, it tore my heart to pieces to stop making this comic, but ultimately it was the best decision for me as an artist and person. I explain everything here.

Thank you for reading. I really appreciated everyone’s support and reblogs through the four and a half years I worked on this! I learned so much about how to make comics by doing this, which you can really see by comparing the first page to the last. 

I will bring all of that forward into my next few projects, previews of which will be going up on my Patreon! You’ll also get full PDF copies of anything finished and polished!

Maybe a bit too honest, I feel so much freer now, and hopeful for my future in comics after letting go of BROADSIDE. After 178 pages of learning about pacing, layouts, inking. flatting, colors, lettering, and everything else that goes into making your own comic, I feel strong enough and ready to make something truly great.

A Note About the Coming Update + Tumblr’s New Site Policy

Hey! The next couple pages are requiring a lot more work than normal so the update has been delayed one update period to December 15th! You’ll see why when I put them up, and I promise they’ll be super pretty!! Things are getting exciting ;)

As for the new (very stupid) policy on this site (even one post on this blog was flagged, and I have NEVER openly even shown a KISS, much less a titty or whatever they tuned the algorithm to), I’m sure many of you are thinking of leaving.

 If you are, I thought I would remind you that I have a TWITTER if you’re going to move there and would like to continue to follow this comic! 

My account is all purpose with sketches, selfies, and shenanigans. I don’t have a separate account for just BROADSIDE things, but I do post update notifications and panel previews! Plus, I am WAY more active over there!!

BROADSIDE IS COMING BACK THIS WEEKEND (FOR REAL THIS TIME) !!

I apologize for the October 6th false start, I thought I could managed to post everything that weekend AND fly back to the US to visit family. I forgot you can’t post on the internet when you’re in a giant metal bird in the sky!

Reminder that the first 6 pages are on the Patreon if you want to start reading ASAP (for only $1/month)!

Another reminder that updates will be EVERY OTHER WEEK now, but will be 3 PAGES per update instead of 1, so that’s like getting an extra page for waiting a week. Yay! (~6pgs/month instead of ~4/month)

BROADSIDE IS RETURNING (AND WITH A SLICK NEW WEBSITE)!

The comic will resume posting on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6TH, the first weekend of the month!

I’ve been working on pages since the start of the month, and they’re lookin to be GREAT, I hope you’ll be as excited for them as I am!!!! I’ll be posting the first SIX pages on the Patreon tomorrow! 

Updates will be EVERY OTHER WEEK now, but will be 3 PAGES per update instead of 1, so that’s like getting an extra page for waiting a week. Yay! (~6pgs/month instead of ~4/month)

The website also has a SLICK new look, thanks in huge part to Jesse Fivey! They did worked with me to do the whole new layout, coding, and functions, while I did all the window dressing (graphics and content). Please give it a look and click around, it took a lot of work to get it done! The “ARCHIVE” function has been improved greatly, and I’ve finally filled out the “CREW” and “MAP” areas of the site with character portraits and bios!

A few of you sent in fanart back in the spring, and I will post that in the two weeks leading up to the new pages! I’m sorry it took so long to get it out there!!

I’m happy to announce that TO MEASURE, my butch-4-butch lesbian werewolf  story about finding acceptance, love, and a home, is now an AWARD WINNING COMIC!! (Source)

At San Diego Comic Com last month, it received a Prism Award in the Short Form Comics category. The Prism Awards are presented to comic works by queer authors and works that promote the growing body of diverse, powerful, innovative, positive or challenging representations of LGBTQAI+ characters in fiction or nonfiction comics. I’m super honored to receive this award, I poured my heart, future desires, and deepest fears into this comic.

In celebration, I’m putting the whole comic up to read FOR FREE.

The comic is usually $3 on my Gumroad but until September 1st, you can grab a PDF >HERE< for free so anyone can enjoy this now award-winning comic! Tips are highly appreciated <3
