The guy who prayed four sunnahs at a time in front of a saudi

It was a very refreshing Friday in the city of Corniche. Abu Hurraira, a Saudi born Pakistani who spent his childhood through teenage in the desert land and almost half a decade in Pakistan, was awakened by hearing the voices of imams calling for Jummah prayer.

It is a matter of routine to dress well and give a positive vibe at a jummah prayer and many Muslims living ‘many'where can relate to this. Young bloods, 90′s ahead born and 21st century alive especially living in Pakistan can find it normal that Abu Hurraira who was just in his 20s was highlighted with a white shalwar, a Junaid Jamshed Kurta and an axe bodyspray - which smells very pleasant to any passerby not to mention its economical price.

Yet, that was a Abu Hurraira on the outside who thought he could impress the lot in the masjid with his islamic values; solitute, gratitude and attitude. However, it lasted just till entering the masjid after which it wasn’t about the freshness and beauty of the outside but a depression and deep contradictions on the inside. When he entered the masjid, got among and saw many people belonging to different regions of the world, he could sense blasts in his inside seeing differences in the ways and methods of different communities. He initially ignored much of it in his disbelief but then he was confronted with an event that left such an impression on his existence that he had to take a quest to sort out his boggled mind after that day.

Abu Hurraira offered four sunnahs after the two rakkahs of the jumma prayer. What he didn’t know was that it wasn’t the very common practice to see for a saudi. As a Pakistani at a jumma, most believe that they have a right and knowledge of a religious scholar who can school and criticize anyone at a jumma prayer(verbally or mentally) and to save ourselves from the criticism, we start arguing upon being attacked verbally - maybe that’s why we have different masjids for different religious sects. Yet, when someone asks us, i stress asks, rather than criticize us for our ways, most have nothing to say but to wonder what he asked and not to wonder how to attack and respond to his criticism. Only upon being asked a question, we start asking questions to ourselves when we leave a conversation and thus the zeal and lust for the discovery and journey to learning more about ourselves and our religion begins.

So happened with Abu Hurraira when he left the Masjid that day in Saudi.

Teray chehray ki ronaq aur maskharion main wo halchal, Kia tu janti hai k main qurban jaun aisi hai tujhse dil lagi?
