He might have at one point, but after all the shit he’s gone through, the darkness has pretty much snuffed out any hope for a god. Its not like he doesn’t believe in the Twelve. He just doesn’t actively like. Do anything about it, and if he did, it’d be Rhalgr.

Hard to say, honestly. He’s pretty closed off, overall, especially to any emotion that doesn’t fuel the living darkness inside him. This is pretty apparent in the moogle quest in the DRK storyline, when he can’t even admit he cares about a young girl he’s trying to protect.
As for like. Secret loves? I couldn’t tell you. I feel like most relationships are going to take work, even if he finds someone aesthetically pleasing. The two are very different animals for him.

Well, that was surely the last thing he expected to come out of the Lord Commander’s mouth, especially after everything. Sidurgu had been slaughtering Temple Knights, Ser Aymeric’s precious calvary, for years, and he was being.... thanked? This war and its outcome truly was something else.
“I have done little to aid in your ventures, Lord Commander. I was merely abiding by the code of a Dark Knight as well as my own personal code. If any of it had found its way aligned with your own, well, consider it a coincidence.”
His weight shifted mildly, though for a man as large as him, it might have seemed much greater than it felt. A silence lengthened and he finally broke it with a rough sigh.
“I must admit I may have misjudged you, Ser Aymeric. Thank you for all you’ve done for this city.”

An eyebrow raised only slightly as Estinien spoke his name with such malice. Though he was used to hearing it come from Elezen tongues in such a manner. It rubbed him the wrong way still, nevertheless. He could see that glimmer in his eye, as if there was more he wished to say. He’d seen it a million times before slaughtering temple knights, though he was surprised when it never came. Color him impressed, if only slightly.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Azure Dragoon.”
Arms crossed over his chest as he peered down his nose at the man. He looked far different than he was used to, rid of his blood stained armor for once in the past several years they had lived in the same city walls.
“What of you now, after the war? This peace brings little to warriors such as ourselves. Will you aim to settle down with your beloved and aid him in this new direction for our city, or will you find a new war to fight?”
