Downside is I've had to stop watching Riverdale and lie down because it is many things, but absolutely NOT calm.

Local Quilt Show

My phone camera is absolutely terrible, but the quilts were stunning! These are some of my favourites. I also got stopped by multiple people who want me in the quilt guild (which was lovely of them, and the perils of being a younger, man-appearing person who quilts) and got tips on all the good local shops so Hell Yeah.

I went a bit wild with fabrics, and don't have a plan for many of these, but they were absolutely stunning! I also got some nice haberdashery/tools I've been needing. The US national parks fabric was an accident (it was next to identical cryptid fabric) but the design isn't too bad? I'll take it as fate.

And the second baby quilt is complete! Now my coworkers need to stop having kids for a minute while I catch up on the wedding quilt I'm making :p

I love how this one looks and the sunburst effect. It was also nice to make something completely from my stash! The binding fabric in particular was exactly what I wanted to finish it off.

Now I'm taking the evening (and maybe tomorrow) off to rest my aching fingers, because rushing to put on binding is a hell of a thing. I'm excited to send this one off home tomorrow!

And all that's left to do is the binding! After working on a king sized quilt for so long I forgot how fast these little ones come together. I'm crossing my fingers that it gets finished this weekend, and then I can get back to the wedding gift.

My attempts to re-learn to cook continue! We've got folks coming over for dinner, and so because of that, and because my Beloved Husband is writing thousands of words of Animorphs Fanfiction, I decided to make Cinnamon Rolls.

They're currently cooling, but they at least smell like fresh bread and cinnamon, so I think I did it right. Ignoring the "rustic" shapes and sizes.
