We Are Officially Two Years Old!

We have reached our two year anniversary this month, and boy has it been a fun ride! We went from a tiny community of a few members Roleplaying together, to a sizeable community that often thinks of each other as family. As our characters have had time to build relationships and help each other to grow over the past two years, so have our members. We are so grateful to each and every one of our members and we are so looking forward to continuing to grow! Lioden Gothic

-The new Friday update comes. You try to read it but your eyes glaze over. You look at the comments. There are pages and pages of them. Every single one says “Yay!” and nothing else. Your fingers move on their own. “Yay!” You hit post.

-You lion explores. It is night. Then it is day. It is night again. Your lion does not sleep. You do not sleep either. You only explore, and it feels like running away from something. You keep running.

-One of your lionesses gives birth to a lethal. It is small and doesn’t look much like a lion cub. It doesn’t seem like a lion at all. On the next rollover, it dies. No one mentions a new lethal. When you try to describe it, you find that you cannot remember what it looks like.

-Your hunting party brings back another human leg. You send them out again. You don’t think to ask if there are hundreds of people in the pixelated African wilderness, limping along on a single leg. How many people have you hurt? You don’t want to know.

-You explore at 100 energy. You gain +15 energy. You hit the button again. You gain +15 energy. You hit the button again. You gain +15 energy.

-You don’t remember to play with a cub. The next rollover, you get a cub accident notification. Nothing changes, not really, but sometimes when you feed the lioness you can almost feel her staring at you. Why didn’t you protect him. You monster.

-Five minutes pass. Your energy increases by 20%. An hour goes by. Your energy increases by 10%.

-Main chat is arguing again. You go to close the window, but they are arguing about you. You don’t know who any of them are. You try to find out what you did, but someone mentions feeding their pet the wrong dog food and the chat gets paused. You never find out.

-You explore at 10% energy. You are at 99% EXP. You just need one more fight to level up. You hunt desperately for a battle or an energy boost. You are at 0 energy. You have run out of time.

-You return from a months long hiatus. All of your lions are exactly how you left them. Frozen in time forever, stuck in stasis for years of their lives. A cub has been a newborn for four years. A lioness has spent a lifetime at 15 years old. You go on another hiatus.

-The same four people always seem to be in chat. You log on once at 7 am, then at 11 pm. They are still there. They are always there.

-You feed your lioness a small meat chunk. Lion swallows it fast. You feed her an elephant calf carcass. Lion swallows it fast. Your mouse pointer hovers over her face. Lion swallows it fast.
