Additional question only because I started second guessing myself and enjoyed writing Chapter 7 of A Court of Cloak and Flame because of them

Lucien breaking the wards constraining him to cover Elain with his jacket, snarling at the males gawking at her body in the wet nightgown. Lucien declaring himself a mated male and refusing any females, despite not even knowing his mate beyond the surface. Lucien maintaining that loyalty, even going so far as to feel guilt for his own assault at the hands of another female.

Lucien on the run, abandoning his home, and asking Feyre to tell him about Elain. Lucien willing to accept that Elain has a lover, despite the agony that it would bring him. Lucien finding Elain to be the most beautiful female he has ever seen in her current state, while others describe her to be sickly. Lucien gripping his teacup to keep from shuddering from Elain saying his name for the first time. Lucien being the one to tell everyone to take Elain outside, to take her to the sea.

Lucien traveling across the world on a whim from Elain’s visions, trusting her solely. Lucien fighting in a war and, upon completion, took off running across the shore to make certain that Elain was alright. Lucien keeping his distance, despite how much it pains him to do so, in order to allow Elain that comfort. Lucien longing for Elain, for the bond to be accepted. Lucien offering Elain two perfect Solstice gifts, one that he learned of as a side thought and remembered months later.

Lucien Vanserra is at the mercy of Elain Archeron.

The (future) High Lord and High Lady of the Day Court.

Kicking off the new year right with my favorite ACOTAR couple! A New Year means a new agenda and that agenda is all about appreciating Elain and Lucien and I cannot wait to spend some time with them in the coming months—I am incredibly ecstatic to share with you all that I have planned! Some very special pieces, I must assure.

Whenever I envision Elain and Lucien’s future together, I always see them thriving in the Day Court, surrounded by nature and sunlight. Though, sometimes, when I think a little deeper, I always see them lounging together upon a gilded throne, basking in each other’s presence. Lucien perched on the throne and Elain splayed across his lap is a personal favorite head-canon of mine. After all, Elain’s favorite seat is her husband’s face lap.

Happy New Year, everyone! Holding space for both an ACOTAR book announcement and Elucien finally coming home.
