This is so sad …. I wanna cry….

Hello Madara,

I've been thinking for a long time whether to write you this message annoym or as public, since we are "friends" here on Tumblr. Maybe you'll recognise me anyway. Let's get to what I want to say: I want to thank you for still being here. In the last few weeks I have (unfortunately!) had to deal intensively with another fandom that is basically very similar to "Naruto" (especially Sasuke and Sakura). And I have to say: this hatred within the fan circle is unbelievable. People are bullied, fan arts are stolen, ships are insulted and called "stupid". I am simply speechless. And then I thought to myself: he's been doing this for years?! How can he stand it? How can you handle all this negativ energie?

And the worst moment for me was when I realised that the "fans" don't even read what there is to know about the character. For example: I told one fan that person A smokes. The fan replied that that was stupid and that fans only make things up. But when I sent the biography of the character, it quickly became quiet.

Is this the future of games? of films and books? This superficiality?

Only seeing what you want to see?

And then I thought to myself: he's been doing this for years?! How can he stand it? How can you handle all this negativ energie?

You just get used to it. After being exposed to people's bullshit so often and for so long, it unfortunately just becomes the norm. I didn't know just how bad the Naruto fandom could be until I properly joined it following the manga's conclusion back in 2014, and it didn't take long for it to establish itself as the absolute worst fandom that I've ever seen. So now, whenever I hear about typical Naruto fandom fuckery, I'm just like "in other news, water is wet".

And the worst moment for me was when I realised that the "fans" don't even read what there is to know about the character.

Sounds familiar.

Is this the future of games? of films and books? This superficiality? Only seeing what you want to see?

Hopefully it's not the future, but it's certainly the present.

Death threats are another thing that I would have never imagined myself describing as "common" back in 2014, yet here I am. The fact of the matter is that people will say whatever they want to say online, and more than half of it are things they'd never say in person.

As a parent myself I tell u why sasuke wouldn’t be a mess: because we have to carry on for our children. Sasuke would be here for Sarada because he knows the suffering. I understand that people wish their lover would mourn for her and it will break him because that would show how much he loved her. But that’s not how parenting works: there a times we’re don’t get enough rest, sleep or freetime but you still keep going it’s like autopilot. Sasuke would to anything to be here for Sarada. He has no time to be broken. Sarada is the only thing that would be left of sakura and their love.

People actually think that if Sakura died, Sasuke would completely lose himself mentally and would be a permanent broken mess who wouldn't be able to continue with his responsibilities? Fucking hell man do people really think he's that mentally weak? Sasuke lost his entire family who he loved dearly as a child (and that was when the Curse of Hatred still existed which made it even worse), and he didn't lose himself even in those circumstances. Instead, he eventually picked himself back up and found a new lease on life, because that's what shinobi do. So why would he completely fall apart now if he lost another loved one? I mean, do these people think he loves Sakura so much more than he loved his parents and brother or something?

Ino and Shikamaru lost their fathers during the war when they were teens, yet they were strong enough to persevere.

Kurenai lost Asuma when they were about to have their first child together, yet she was strong enough to persevere.

Tsunade lost Kawaki, then Dan, and then Jiraiya; All of the people most precious to her, yet she was still strong enough to persevere.

Kakashi lost his father, then he lost Obito, he was forced to Kill Rin himself, and then he lost his Sensei, yet he was still strong enough to persevere.

So do these people think that Sasuke isn't as mentally strong as any of the aforementioned people? Do they think that he as an adult doesn't have anywhere near the level of mental fortitude that Ino and Shikamaru did when they were teenagers? Heck, they don't even think he has anywhere near the mental fortitude that he himself did as a friggin' child. All these examples of people (including Sasuke himself) losing those closest to them, and they all persevered. But now these fans think that losing Sakura would be too much for Sasuke to handle? I mean, by no means am I downplaying the strength of their bond, but come on now. If either of them were to lose the other, they'd obviously be devastated, heartbroken, but they'd eventually pick themselves up and persevere, because life goes on. They'd obviously still be in each other's hearts, and they'd use that to give them strength, but they wouldn't just permanently fall apart, they're stronger than that.

I swear to god, a disappointing portion of the SS fandom just doesn't know Sasuke at all, fuck's sake. In their endeavour to make him essentially obsessed with Sakura, they think nonsense like this, and I'm tired of them trying to make him seem like some lovesick puppy.

It worry’s me somehow that people ask such questions (no offense anon). But that’s his baby! All (good) fathers will make their baby laugh, be there if they cry, will hold them. And all parents are trying to explain the world to their children. Why is sasuke Uchiha the expectation?

How do you think Sasuke treated 1 year old Sarada ? How he calmed her when she cried? Did he tried to talk to her or show her something to distract her?

Or when she did funny and cut things, do you think he laughed and told sakura about it?

Or when she was curious about something, did he explained patiently and amused by her?

I know it's weird, but it's midnight and I trying to imagine Sasuke in these situations

As you'd expect any father to treat his infant daughter.

How he calmed her when she cried? Did he tried to talk to her or show her something to distract her?

I can see him having his own unique way of holding her in his arms which would eventually calm her down.

Yeah he'd explain patiently, I don't particularly see why he'd be amused over simply her curiosity though.

After scrolling through your blog for HOURS and I can’t find the answer to my question…. I need to know:

Do you think sakura (at some point) told sasuke about „their“ almost kiss? And do you think sasuke was shocked to hear this and in return told her the truth that Naruto took his place? Oh man. I really need your thoughts on the matter! Your are always on spot!

Lol, scrolling for hours takes some dedication. To answer your question though, no not really. Mainly because I just think that the events by the bench where she was with the real Sasuke kinda overshadowed everything that came before for Sakura.

And your Point is right: she was not sure and the whole plot of Sakura Hiden would be meaningless if she dont doubt him/ his promise on that point

Here's a counter question - Why would Sasuke's words have given Sakura hope, if they were meant to be some form of a promise? A promise is when you tell someone that something will definitely happen, and you don't need hope for a certainty.

When you have hope, it's because the thing you're wishing for is not a certainty, so you hope that it'll happen, because you know it may not. Sasuke's forehead poke didn't promise Sakura anything, but it served to give her hope of a potentially bright future with him.

This is further evidenced by the fact that during Sasuke Shinden, Sasuke was still shown to be doubtful on whether or not he'd ever fully return to the village. He didn't promise Sakura anything, but he let her know that this future was possible once he'd better himself.

Okay i'm very late to this but: i think that i read that itachi (in japanische said) "Mata kondo da" which means 'maybe next time with no agreemeant to the one he's addressing. While sasuke said to her: "Manta kondo na" which means that he strongly desires that she agrees to meet aging. Sasuke means what he said here, while Itachi was not sure if he can keep his promise.

Okay, i just say it:

I had tears in my eyes when I read the last chapter. But I think it's okay. I have been reading "naruto" since I was 12 years old. And I have always wished them both a happy ending.

There's something special about seeing Sasuke smile.

There's something very special about seeing Sasuke smile, because for the vast majority of the main story, he was about as far from "happy" as you could get. It's made even better when you remember how all those years ago, Sakura was crying to him because she felt as though Sasuke never let her in, and he responded by saying how it was none of her business and that she should just leave him alone:

But now, Sasuke was saying how being alone and away from his family gets to him, and after more conversation, Sakura confidently took his hand in hers, and reassured him that he had nothing to worry about, because she knew him inside and out:

Sasuke went from requesting that he be left alone, to saying how being alone and away bothered him. Sakura went from crying about how Sasuke never let her in, to confidently reassuring him that she knew him inside and out. Thereby indicating that Sasuke ultimately did far more than just let her in. Sasuke's no longer the little boy starved of love, which is why I'll always appreciate his smile the most.
