When all this libfem bullshit is over I'm gonna look back and be forever haunted by the fact that libfems actually promoted prostitution to a generation of teenaged girls. They did that, they actually did that.

INTERSEX IS NOT LGBT. ITâS A MEDICAL CONDITION. DONâT INCLUDE US IN YOUR COMMUNITY UNLESS WE ARE LGBT.
I AM LGBT AND INTERSEX. I AM NOT LGBTâQIâŚâ THERE IS NO I. I AM SIMPLY LGBT. DONâT INCLUDE MY MEDICAL CONDITION INTO YOUR IDENTITY. YOU CANNOT BE DIAGNOSED WITH GAY. YOU CAN BE DIAGNOSED WITH INTERSEXISM. THEREâS A DIFFERENCE. WE HAVE OUR OWN COMMUNITY. STOP BEING SO INCLUSIVE. YOUâRE GONNA END UP INCLUDING FURRIES IF YOU INCLUDE US.

i read an article today from 2015 on slate.com about the rift between lesbians and transgender women in the LGBT community. despite the age of the article, i found an interesting paragraph that felt like it was written just yesterday:
âRumors of trans women who attempt to pressure lesbians to date them by insisting that it would be transphobic to do otherwise donât help mattersâthese stories may be apocryphal, but the fear of being pressured into a romantic relationship is hardly conducive to relaxed getting-to-know-yous. Rumors of predatory or pressuring behavior by trans women have been fanned by TERFs in order to paint trans women as violent and coercive.â - Can Cis Lesbians and Trans Women Learn to Get Along? by Evan Urquhart
iâm not feeling especially poetic or eloquent today, so iâm just going to tell it like it is: this line of thinking, this subtle way of positing women as liars and bigots for daring to admit that theyâve been abused by transgender women, has to stop.
it doesnât matter if this was posted 3 years ago, because this mentality has only gotten more prevalent. as someone who was abused by a transgender woman and had people take my abuserâs side over mine because of my abuserâs transgender status, this infuriates me.
you cannot claim to side with victims and survivors of abuse if you frame their experiences as âapocryphal rumorsâ and dismiss them as just being rift-forming bigots.
this is the truth: there is a trend of transgender women abusing women in the LGBT community, there is a trend of their sexually coercive behavior towards lesbians, and there is a trend that people are choosing to believe abusers over their victims because theyâd rather have political purity over actual justice.
not only that, but i find it reprehensible to insinuate that lesbians are crafting tall tales just to feed their own prejudices. lesbians are being routinely ignored and discriminated against in their own community, and to act as if theyâre just being hateful, nasty bitches fabricating incidences of rape and abuse is disgusting.
i know too many lesbians who have been gagged by politics, shamed out of admitting what happened to them, fearful of adding to stereotypes or of being ostracized. this already happens to people who have been abused in even the most classical of stories (such as battered housewives), and i cannot believe the hypocrisy i see from people who touted the importance of #MeToo all while cultivating the exact same environment in their circles.
if youâd rather not take sides or - god forbid - take an abuserâs side because you donât want to believe a victimâs experience (as it doesnât fit the narrative you want to establish), then answer this:
whatâs more important: feeling like youâre on âthe right side of historyâ and wanting to look like the good guy in the history books, or extending compassion to people who are alive right now, who live and breathe and walk right now, who are hurting and suffering and being silenced right now?
choose wisely.

this is why there is no longer lab research on pornography.
âCountless studies have since shown that exposure to pornography desensitizes men to violence against women, often shaping their sexuality in such a way that they become unable to experience arousal without some element of dominance or violence. The evidence has been so damning that, at times, universities have refused to allow further research on the topic. When a study shows detrimental effects that cannot be reversed, ethics boards will often refuse similar studies to go on. This has happened repeatedly with research on the effects of pornography.â

stop censoring other women when they express their anger. let women speak their minds no matter how offending you find it. men donât control each otherâs vocabularies and opinions yet women who advocate for female solidarity always break angry women down until theyâre passive and appropriate again

telling butch lesbians to âbe uglyâ when rejecting feminine beauty standards is nice but butchness is something that lesbians find beautiful and desirable so maybe instead of telling butches to accept that they are ugly in a het world tell them that they dont have to live in a world where theyâre considered ugly. you dont have to accept being ugly bc you arent ugly to us.
